a) practice makes perfect!

[ For those who are wandering around the residential district, Alisha will be practicing swinging her lance in one of the more open, more abandoned areas. She'll try various ways - swinging her lance to the side, and then thrusting it in front of her with faint cries.

When she stops, she lets out a breath, as though having been tense while practicing her movements. She looks to her lance warily, and then to the ground. ]

I cannot allow myself to become rusty now...

b) the sheltered princess wants to... practice cooking?

[ After practicing her technique, Alisha makes her way to the shopping district. She nearly looks lost as she looks from store to store, hands tucked behind her back as she leans in to read different signs in the window. She frowns faintly, tilting her head slightly in confusion.

She straightens herself, sighing slightly. ]

I suppose I should have done my research before shopping for ingredients. Perhaps I can bake a decent desert for Sorey and the others for now instead.

[ She wanted to expand her cooking knowledge somehow, but... She has no idea where to start. She's always had someone to cook for her, even while she's been here. ]

c) (closed to rose)

[ They've made their way towards the darker areas of the city. It might be dangerous with just the two of them, yet Alisha knows that Sorey and the others need all the time they need to rest. She looks to Rose with a frown, concern evident in her features. ]

I appreciate your help, but are you certain? There may be monsters lurking within.

[ She knows that Rose is strong. She's Sorey's Squire, isn't she? Yet, she knows that strength is easily to exhaust all the same. ]

[ Shigeru nods silently before typing up something else. ]

Yes! I shop at various places but that place has a lot of...regular ingredients I use for cooking! What else were you thinking of making?

[ Is that butting in too much?! Should he not have asked that?! He doesn't even know!! ]

[ She pauses for a moment, looking thoughtful. ]

... I wanted to make something simple, but... I truthfully haven't thought of what I would like to cook beyond that.

[ Honestly, she thought she'd get some ideas from being out here in general. ]

[ Shigeru knows a good few simple dishes that one could cook. But he's not sure if she's ever heard of them or would even like them?! ]

Well what sort of dishes are normal for your world to cook? Unless you wanted to try something new from a different world! I've found out a lot of good recipes that way too.

[ Earth food in particular is pretty tasty he's found out. ]

Something from another world? It may be a good idea to surprise others, but... I'm still fairly new at cooking, so I'm uncertain if I'll be able to make anything especially impressive.

[ Though, she does wonder if she'll be able to cook something that they'll like. ]

[ Shigeru nods in understanding as he thinks for a moment. ]

Something simple is probably best. Simple doesn't mean it won't taste good either. There's lots of savory dishes that only use a few ingredients.

That's something my friend has told me, too. I think that you're right. In this case, it may be the smartest choice, as well.

Is there anything like that from your world then?

[ making familiar things might be a good idea after all when it comes to simple cuisine. ]

Is it strange that I'd like to surprise them with something from another world?

[ though his second offer sounds good... ]

If it wouldn't be too much trouble. I'm afraid that even though I've been here a number of times, there's still many shops I haven't browsed for myself.

[ Shigeru shakes his head emphatically at that. ]

I don't think that's strange at all! I can help you! We should probably pick a recipe first though.

[ That comes first and foremost. ]

Yes, that's true. Are there any recipes you recommend?

[ He's thoughtful for a moment before he nods and smiles. ]

Yes! There's some easy to cook recipes that I find are really tasty. Have you ever had chicken stir-fry before?

Oh, no. I cannot say that I have.
