a) practice makes perfect!

[ For those who are wandering around the residential district, Alisha will be practicing swinging her lance in one of the more open, more abandoned areas. She'll try various ways - swinging her lance to the side, and then thrusting it in front of her with faint cries.

When she stops, she lets out a breath, as though having been tense while practicing her movements. She looks to her lance warily, and then to the ground. ]

I cannot allow myself to become rusty now...

b) the sheltered princess wants to... practice cooking?

[ After practicing her technique, Alisha makes her way to the shopping district. She nearly looks lost as she looks from store to store, hands tucked behind her back as she leans in to read different signs in the window. She frowns faintly, tilting her head slightly in confusion.

She straightens herself, sighing slightly. ]

I suppose I should have done my research before shopping for ingredients. Perhaps I can bake a decent desert for Sorey and the others for now instead.

[ She wanted to expand her cooking knowledge somehow, but... She has no idea where to start. She's always had someone to cook for her, even while she's been here. ]

c) (closed to rose)

[ They've made their way towards the darker areas of the city. It might be dangerous with just the two of them, yet Alisha knows that Sorey and the others need all the time they need to rest. She looks to Rose with a frown, concern evident in her features. ]

I appreciate your help, but are you certain? There may be monsters lurking within.

[ She knows that Rose is strong. She's Sorey's Squire, isn't she? Yet, she knows that strength is easily to exhaust all the same. ]

Why don't you ask a bakery around here? They probably have a good idea what's quality stuff... but you'd have to ask just right or they think you're out for their secret recipes. You can really only get the ingredients here in this district though so... I don't get the fuss.

[ HImano shrugs. After all, it's always "love", right? That's supposed to make food taste better, always. He shrugs, but his face lights up with an idea. ]

I know a place that sells the best fruit though! My friend Sayo showed me it. Fruit can go well in desserts, I think.

I'd love to see it, in that case. My teacher told me that fruit can help to make the best desserts, so I believe that your friend is also correct.

[ She offers a soft smile towards the other. She really is thankful for all the help... She feels like she's going in a little blindly here. ]

[ That sweet smile of hers is pretty uplifting. Like a... princess? Hehe. ]

Okay then, follow me! It's not too far, just down the... I think you call it a block, and around the corner. Fruit stands remind me of home, I like that.

[ And off he goes. Imano may not always have the deepest wallet for actual shopping, but he sure does love moving out and about with it as the fun backdrop. ]

Of your home? I'd like to hear what it was like.

[ If it's alright! She doesn't want to bring up any bad memories or anything of the sort, either. ]

Well... it's old fashioned in a place like this, isn't it? Back home, when there's not a lot of fighting, it was simple like that.

[ He tilts his head. ]

You have to pick a fruit, by the way. Or some fruits for a dessert.

Old fashioned? I believe that may be the case for many here. Though... A place with little fighting sounds rather ideal.

[ Oh! A type of fruit-- well. ]

-- do you think that strawberries and bananas would suffice?

Yeah, I think they'll do, the colors would be pretty~ It's probably a bad idea to try and include too many fruits too...

[ Imano takes a moment to just imagine what that would look like and laughs. Essentially, a luxurious fruit salad on a pie tart. ]

Like if you're making it for a friend, they might like some fruits but hate others, so it would cancel out and be just an "okay" dessert. That's no good, right?

If it's like that, then the desert would appeal to everyone. That's what you mean, isn't it?

[ She hadn't thought of it like that, but when she thinks about it: her maids always balanced everything they could in everything they provided for her. ]
