[Settled on the floor, Shiho looks from Jaune's salvaged mask to Kaoru's bit of altar (broken off with brute esper force) and miscellaneous items. Some part of her is incredibly proud of the small array of items in front of them, her elbows resting lightly and easily on the low coffee table. The fact that they thought of coming to her was flattering.

And another part of her has her opening her mouth with a tilt of her head,]

You guys know that you're practically delinquents and vandals now, right?

[Not that she wasn't going to help them, she just liked having her fun first.]

[ Ha! Jaune teases back, nudging her a little with his elbow as they all inspect their quest loot. ]

Doesn't count unless we're caught. Isn't that something you said? It sounds like something you'd say. She said it, back me up, Kaoru!

[Kaoru nodded.]

Remember that time you shot Minamoto with the tranquilizer? It's just like that time!

[Why are you two teaming up against her!!]

I did say that, but this is nothing like the time I shot Minamoto-san with a tranquilizer.

[That was more of a force of habit than anything. Besides, she can't exactly remember which time Kaoru is referring to.

.....she has persistent bad habits.]

Anyway. Are we going to take a look at these or not?

[ Man, this Minamoto guy's job sounds rough. ]

I'd hope nobody tranqued anyone here recently. Besides, this right now? We're doing it for the good of everyone.

W-Well, Shiho, mostly. We're just... gonna stand around. For moral support. I brought snacks.

[It's already easier now that they're older though it will never be easy.

Kaoru happily moves close to Shiho's back and starts massaging her ahoulders.]

Yup! We're just here to keep you company! You're the main character here. We're just here to support you!

Well, the snacks are a good idea. [As is the massage if the way Shiho rolls her shoulders into it is any indication.]

Let's start with the altar then.

[That's all the warning they get before she puts her hand on the chunk...and gets a disturbing lack of information. It's blank. She looks at it, puzzled and more than a little worried.]

....There's nothing. That can't be right?

A-Are you sure you did it right? [ Like Jaune would know the right way to use psychometry!! ]

Maybe you're not relaxed enough. Kaoru, massage her harder! [ As for Jaune, he starts massaging Shiho's temples at the same time as Kaoru is doing her thing. ]

H-How's that? Is that... is that better, or worse?

Hey, don't question her! She's the expert here. [And then in a whisper to Shiho:] You did do that right, right?

[Then more loudly.] Or maybe it's made from some kind of...anti esp material?

[She's not sure she did it right at this point...but then again, psychometry comes as naturally to her as breathing. There's no way for her to do it wrong.]

...and if it really is made out of some kind of anti-ESP material...then we'd have a really big problem.

[Because it would mean that not only were they aware of what she could do, but they were taking active steps to hide something from her.]

Nobody would go through all that unless they're trying to hide something. Hmm...

[ Well, he's fresh out of ideas. ]

Have we tried it on everything yet?

Also, she's now pouting. Because, damn it, she was the one who brought that one back!]

Maybe one of the other things will have something? [She flicks her finger and slides the mirror shard just a bit closer because she will be annoyed if she brought nothing of value back!]

I don't know anyone. [Besides, well, them. But seeing as how she hadn't had any luck with the altar bit they'd brought back, she's not sure how much help she may be from now on.

She catches the mirror shard a little too perfectly, sliding it carefully into her palm and being mindful of the sharp edges. She reads this one just fine but honestly...it's kind of boring in comparison to the creepy nothingness from the altar.]

It's from a dance studio. It used to be in a city that looked like where we are now. There's a lot of people...and it's so...normal.

A dance studio?! Well, that-- that's kinda unexpected.

[ He thought it was going to be something creepy or mystical tied to it. ]

Well, I guess that makes sense. But then what happened to it? And why did the mirror show me the time we spent with that woman?

I'm not getting anything else from it. Just that.

[She sets the mirror shard back onto the table, looking at it uncomfortably. As a level 7 psychometer, not knowing things is clearly abnormal for her and she can't help but to have a bad feeling about all this even as she gestures towards the mask.]

Give me that. Maybe it'll have something.
