[ you spy with your little eye someone who isn't being quite as stealthy as they think they are. a tall, dark figure (maybe handsome?? we just don't know), loitering in alleyways, behind buildings, up on rooftops... it's hecka creepy. if you approach fast enough, zero doesn't run away!

and sometimes, they even initiate conversation., with things like, ] Wanna go kill stuff?

[ not that zero is adverse to general murder, but why not make some money in the meantime? ]

[ Truthfully, Hisoka feels exactly the same way. He'd had quite a stockpile in his bank account back home, but now we're starting all over again from scratch, and he did so like to have what he wanted. ]

[ zero perks up slightly, back straightening, but nothing much else changes about them. at the question, they cock their head to the side. they don't really mean to be, though the effect isn't one they actually try to avoid. ]

So I've been told, yes.

[ Nobody asked your opinion about fashion, Hisoka, shut up... He does a theatrical little bow, motioning for his new friend to lead the way. ]

[ hmm. zero starts moving again. they did mean a vivid mission, so going to a game center is their goal.

for now, at least. who knows what the future holds! ]

[ There is something slightly cheap and unsatisfying about... all of this adventure to him. The virtual reality, the encoding, the lack of true death. He is a fickle man, but without real threat in his life how is he going to maintain his sociopathy? Where will he get his adrenaline fix? It hasn't gotten to him yet, but it weighs in the back of his mind. What will he do when he begins to bore.

For now, the man in the dark suit is interesting enough, and he is eager to see his skills, even if it is in a game. They head leaisurely for the game center, no real need for small talk beyond, ]

Is this what you do for a living.

[ zero barely turns their head at the question, and keeps walking. ]

[ they reach the entrance of the game center. ]

[ But he's just being obtuse, really, ]

I am on the sales floor of a sexual fantasy shop.

[ Clown smile. Not creepy, at all. ]

[ a job is a job..! and zero doesn't have much inclination either way about sexual fantasies. they're more interested in getting into the game and getting started.

the mission they're interested in is based on taking over a military encampment in the middle of the night. probably, they could go in through the front, but zero's style is more subtle to begin with. they start to go around the back once they've quick-traveled to the right location. ]

[Whatever Zero wants, Hisoka can do. For now, it amuses him to see if this odd fellow has an leadership or cooperative qualities.

For an obnoxious clown he sure can move quick and quiet. Crouched out of sight of the patrol, he signals to helmet guy as to their numbers and direction. ]

[ zero turns their head, acknowledging the signals, though without an actual verbal or visible response. they begin moving down, to the back gate.

it's hard to break in, but they don't bother with that. instead they start scaling the rugged wall up, and over. ]

[ Nen-enhanced, he simply jumps to the top and waits, crouched, for his companion. The sneaking is beginning to bore him and he eyes the patrol below with utter malice, wondering how easy it would be to slice a playing card through the thin seam of the body armor and their helmets from this distance and this angel.... ]

[ disregarding their companion right now for the most part, zero continues in the vein of staying undetected. if he causes trouble, zero doesn't really care unless it'll completely ruin the fun for them. they're personally occupied with slipping through the patrols, deeper into the compound and to the highest ranking officer's room. ]

[ Perched on the wall, he makes up the rules of a game... how few cards to how many bodies... He attaches bungee gum to the ace of spades and begins.

One... two... three... ]

[ teamwork isn't zero's strongest suit, and they just want get things over with. they leave the stranger behind to get to the office, preparing to get in and work their way out. ]

[ He's made a good showing before someone finally sets off an alarm within the camp. Ah. Well, that rather ruins his game of stealth, he supposes. He goes to find his companion and see how he's getting on with his sneaking. ]

[ zero has been working their way out from the center, having dealt with the highest ranking officer first, then his guards, then going through the other offices. the alarm going off is an annoyance, but it adds to the chaos, too, and zero finds another vantage point to pick enemies off from. ]

This is fun after all.

[ ah. zero turns slightly to face him, tilts their head before offering a slight smile (:)). it's good that he's enjoying it! ]
