[ you spy with your little eye someone who isn't being quite as stealthy as they think they are. a tall, dark figure (maybe handsome?? we just don't know), loitering in alleyways, behind buildings, up on rooftops... it's hecka creepy. if you approach fast enough, zero doesn't run away!

[Maybe it might have come off creepy on Yusuke's end too, but after his less than pleasant encounters with the NPCs in that dating game sim (if it could be called that, anyway), he wanted to keep tabs on any that were around in case they decided to go nuts again. It was hard to get a reading on Zero, trying to be less than obvious about his observation (hint: it wasn't working), but the more he focused, the more it became clear-- whoever this person was, they weren't programmed. So... that was probably good?

-- but OH CRAP, they're looking back at him now. It was a little disorienting, what with the helmet covering any sort of features on them... kind of like looking face to face with a black void. He frowns slightly, somewhat flustered, and turns his own face away, focusing back on the track before the race starts.

The pistol fires, the loud shot ringing clear and true into the air, and Yusuke lurches forward, revving up the engine before blasting through the starting line. It was exhilarating, having the wind whip through his hair and his pulse pounding with the speed. He eases his weight back, popping the motorcycle into a wheelie before letting out a loud whoop.

... what a nerd.]

[The dust from Zero's bike passing through caused him to cough a bit, making his landing back to the ground somewhat sloppy. Was that on purpose? It was hard to tell, since nearly everyone's bikes were kicking up some degree of dirt due to how dry it was. However, intentional or not, Yusuke wasn't going to let someone else get ahead of him.

Hitting the engine a little harder, he gains ground on Zero, only to quickly cut in front and zoom forward, kicking up his own cloud behind him. The race was just starting, but he had absolutely no intentions of losing ground this early on.]

[Crap, couldn't this thing go any faster? What's the use of him trying to beat someone in a race if there was a cap on the speed?

There was a low sound of irritation at the back of his throat as Zero whipped around the track, trying to push the already stressed machine to somehow make it around them. He was going fast enough that as he went around the same bend, his body became dangerously close to the ground, threatening to topple over if he wasn't careful. Luckily, he was upright enough by the time he catches sight of Zero again, but the sight ahead of them almost had him slam his brakes.

Who puts a ramp like THAT in a racing track?!]

[Well, damn. Whoever this weird helmeted guy was, they had some serious balls. Not that Yusuke was about to let himself be cowed by a stupid ramp, as impossible or deadly as it seemed.

His hand twists hard on the accelerator, delivering a burst of speed that was enough to gun across the gap Zero had left and send himself barreling up and over the edge. As intimating as it was earlier, the moment he was rocketing through the air, the void of nothingness below him and the other side of the track far off... it was thrilling. Exhilarating, even.

So of course he had to let some of that giddiness out.]

WHOO HOO!

[His bike dipped forward in the air, and, using it's momentum, he maneuvered it into a roll, nearly flying off the vehicle but settling back down onto it with a dramatic slam when it somehow, miraculously, landed on the other side. The rush was so much, he all but forgotten the need to beat Zero from earlier.]
