[ June 21st is approaching.

Back home, only Lien ever really celebrated with her. It was their shared birthday after all. Everyone else gave their well wishes, polite, but distant. Maybe, just maybe, this time Ai thinks she can take charge for herself and make her day something enjoyable and something to remember. (And sometimes she thinks of how she could have celebrated the other girls birthdays too. They deserved that much, not just her.)

Also, it wasn't just her birthday she was happy about. She was definitely happy about a certain person's birthday after she visited him. (And Ai hoped what she did wasn't too much...)

Ai can be found in the shopping district, grocery bags in hand, and looking into a pastry shop full of weird alien cakes. She wrinkles her nose at a particular cake as it stares back at her. Dear god, let's hope it's not alive. ]

Hmmm. No, I don't think even I'd eat that...

[She readjusts her bag of groceries in her hand, looking thoughtfully at the other products on the shelves as she continues the conversation.]

But it can't be wrong to be nice to you in return even if it isn't shown with grand gestures.

Oh? Then how do you classify it if someone doesn't want people to be nice in return?

[Legit question. Though Archer just walks along, grabbing what he needs. He's not one to think on what he's getting because he's so used to this.]

[Really. Aside from certain things, its pretty hard to make Archer legitimately mad.]

I don't want to do that though. Although, it's not like I don't have a mean bone in my body, but on the other hand, I don't act on it.

... But you know Archer? I may have mentioned it already, but I am grateful for everything here. For everyone.

For the first time in a long while, I can actually say that there are people who look straight at me in a way that I didn't know I lacked.

There's no need to get emotional about it.

[She may not be crying, like Archer has done to her before (no regrets) but it's still the same type of vibe.]

Besides, that's a real teenager statement to make.
