Odin and his beautiful girlfriend, Frigg, wait patiently in a doctor's office. Odin has one of his arms wrapped around her shoulders. He holds his dear close, hand rubbing soothing patterns along her arm. Frigg tries to hold her face steady, not betraying the worry behind her eyes, but the gentle biting of her rosy lips let out her true feelings. Odin tries not to say anything about why they are waiting in the doctor's office. He instead talks about what they will be doing afterwards, how they will find food to eat and entertainment to occupy the rest of their free day. He talks about their plans for the weekend, he talks about the plans for their vacation in several months.

The light of his life, the jewel of his heart, she should not be feeling this way. Frigg, sensing what her beloved is doing, cannot help but let out a light laugh at his enthusiasm. That laugh invigorates him, as it always does. It is her laugh that first drew him to her in the first place. Her laugh and smile made him feel alive. Every time he hears it, he can't help but try to hear it again and again.

And he would have, were it not for door opening and the doctor walking into the room. Whatever good mood that Odin had been striving to create instantly vanish. The room turned somber and Odin tugged Frigg closer to him. They both looked up at the doctor, eyes full of worry and hope, waiting on every breath for the doctor to speak. The doctor says nothing at first, then he speaks and Odin and Frigg can feel their entire world crash down.

"I have some bad news for you but, according to the lab results, unless you receive an organ transplant you'll die within the month. We have placed you on the transplant list, but considering your blood type, there's no guarantee when you'll get a match. "

Frigg's calm demeanor breaks and she falls helplessly into tears. Odin turns to wrap her into his arms, feeling his own facade break as tears stream silently down his face. Frigg grips at Odin's shirt and Odin stares angrily at the wall. He would rip the organ she needed out of his own body at this moment if he knew that his blood was a match for hers. He has never before felt such helplessness. What can he do in this situation?

How could his light be dealt this cruel hand?

He seems to be filled with boundless energy and has a cheery smile on his face. At the moment, he's currently in the library, pulling books off the shelves and flipping through them, jotting down notes in his Manual of Justice^TM.

[Television is still a very fascinating thing to Yukina. She knew humans enjoyed plays and she assumed that's what these television shows were akin to. She didn't know the technicalities of them but the shows were really engaging!

When he garners her attention, the recognition is instant. She blinks a little, looking surprised.]

[ he grins and nods at her. he's glad he's found someone willing to spend the time to answer his questions. it's for the betterment of the show after all ]

Great! I suppose, for starters, my first question will have to be this: did you enjoy the transmission?

I believe so. I felt bad for both Odin and Frigg so... I believe that is enjoyment.

It drew out an emotional response in you, so I would definitely count that as enjoyment!

[She already knew that Owain was Odin as soon as she watched the first episode. In fact, it was quite exciting to watch him, although he reminded her very much so of when they first met. Other than the fact it was a blur.

Still, she watched, so when she spots him at the library--]

Owain, congratulations! [It was hushed though because it's a library?!]

[ owain looks up when vietnam quietly congratulates him. he jots down one more note in the book before closing it and waving her over ]

I take it you saw the transmission!

[She quickly makes her way over, now it's easier to talk to him without all those loud whispers.]

I did! You were very impressive. I am looking forward to the next installment.

[Why is someone stopping him about a soap opera... It's not like Fugo was in a rush to get anywhere at the moment, but really, if someone's gonna go out of their way to stop him about something, couldn't it be something important...?!

His expression is somewhat skeptical, and it really only gets more skeptical as he realizes this guy looks familiar, somehow.]

Yes, yes, the soap opera! I believe that is the name traditionally given to that type of dramatic storytelling.

Yeah, I guess I saw some of it. [Maybe not enough to give an in-depth analysis of Odin's motivations and psychological state, but hey! It's something.] What about it?

[What did she enjoy the program, indeed. With her seriously pondering about such a serious situation, she had to answer this quite seriously! But after some deliberation, she finally came up with an answer!]

Everything! I mean, how can you not like most of the stuff on such a dramatic tale your character! It's so tragic!

Sure thing, little turd-o! [ She whacks him in the back with a good-natured laugh. Due to her insanely insane strength, it almost bound to send him sprawling. ] Like what? Why I think the title is named the way it is?

[ he's fortunately used to taking strong attacks, but he's so caught by surprise by how strong she is that he can't help but lurch forward at her whacking of his back. his notebook flies out his hands and he has to stumble forward to pick it up. ]

Although I do not have any control over the title, I would love to hear your reasoning for it!

[ "For some reason or another" is a pretty good way to describe it, honestly. Shinpachi still.. isn't quite sure what that was supposed to be, he's no good with these modern things.. if that was a modern thing at all.

Well.. it wasn't bad? [ What a nice and clear answer to that question, huh.. But it is his honest opinion though. If it bored him, there was no way he would have seen it all the way through.

But the way he scratches the back of his head with one hand shows his confusion anyway. ]

[ he doesn't watch a lot of TV. he's accustomed to spending his free time reading or training, but every once in awhile he gets curious about what's on the magic picture box. As the Cereal Pours is not the type of show he would watch at all, but it caught his attention that day because he could have sworn he'd seen that guy's face before.

when he spots Owain in the library later, he confirms it. he didn't come to socialize, but he can't help but approach Owain to ask what the hell that was all about. ]

I saw you while I was flipping through channels the other day. Is that your job?

[ listen to him, talking like an actual modern person. "flipping through channels." such progress he's made. (kind of.) ]

Ah, yes, being a performer in that program is indeed the job I was assigned when I arrived in this place.

[ he's really not sure what word to use. "stupid" is harsh even for him—Owain's just doing his job, apparently. if pressed, he might say it was overly dramatic.
