I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed
Who: Otome (
mombastic) x 2, Steven (
geophile) & Hiro (
theshiningone)
When: IC 6/30
Where: Otome's apartment
What: Robot wrestling happens
Rating/Warning: Probably robo-death and some non-oil bleeding?
[ It's been a bit... uncomfortable lately. Her robot 'helper' has tried to get her out of the way through any means possible, starting with very tight hugs, then trying to lock her in the bathroom "in order to pamper yourself for hours like you deserve!" and then trying to mummify her with bandages, and a whole slew of wacky homicidal ideas, and finally--
Maybe there was a missed call, and concerns and suspicions were raised. Maybe they were just nearby. But approaching Otome's apartment, there'll be several noises heard. Namely:
1. Loud thuds and a crash or two.
2. Two voices, both of which sound like Otome, loud and distressed.
Also the door is unlocked, so please don't break it (again). ]

After the forbidden dildo incident, Hiro refused to instantly trust anything CERES put in a cute bow without questions. Stumbling upstairs, he was hot on his feet as he was approaching the hallway to where Otome's room was.]
--Damn! I hope I'm not too late! [And he'll be yelling at the top of his lungs.] HOLD ON, OTOME!
no subject
after a phonecall to otome with no response, he's gotten worried - enough to run to her apartment, poké ball in hand and ready for action if it's needed. from the other side of the hallway, he's broken into a run from the elevator... only to hear someone else yell. the voice that it belongs to becomes clear when they meet in front of otome's apartment door, and he looks quite surprised. ]
...Hiro?
no subject
[Even if it's a tense situation, Hiro is still cracking some jokes. Mainly to keep his cool and diffuse the situation a little. There was a moment of surprise on his face before it shifts to something more urgent. He'd be more cheerful and easygoing right now, but this wasn't the moment for casual hellos.
He wasn't going to reject some extra help in there. So Hiro shoots him a firm nods before he turns to the door. If he took a moment to turn the knob, he would've realized that it was unlocked... However...]
We're going in on three! One TWO! THREE!
[AND HE JUST KICKS THE DOOR WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO BREAK THE HINGES AND SEND IT FLYING ACROSS THE ROOM.
... R.I.P Otome's door.]
no subject
Thankfully, the door hits the wall and not the two blonde ladies engaging in non-sexy wrestling on the floor, a few of the chairs overturned and a cup shattered on the floor not too far away. They do both turn their heads towards the doorway (now lacking a door, poor sweet angelic thing that it was), and it might be hard to tell which one is Otome and which one is the robot, except that one has a heavily bleeding arm?
And, you know, the other one is clutching a scalpel. ]
no subject
while he'd love to ask why the hell hiro kicked down the door without, you know, checking if it was locked in the first place, there are more pressing matter at hand - namely, the fact that there's a bloody fight happening on otome's apartment floor.
while the appearance of blood makes it easy to tell which otome is the real one, the task of breaking them apart from their struggle still remains. thankfully, steven has that covered. ]
Carbink, separate them!
[ the creature that emerges from the ball in his hand with a flash of energy obeys, the crystal on its head beginning to glow a light blue with psychic energy. it'll cause both of them to restrain both of their movements, but it also forces them away from one another to leave a couple of feet of space.
while carbink focuses its powers to keep both of them where they are, steven will approach the otome with the scapel in her hand and yank it out. she won't be able to fight back, leaving both of them unarmed. ]
Hiro, watch the other one.
no subject
[Was that a demon? Hiro would've questioned it, but there were urgent things to focus on right now. He quickly rushes over to the bleeding Otome as it was clear that one was the real one. It's been a while since he's seen injuries like this since they fought demons in their world.]
Are you alright, Otome? That looks really nasty...
[He'll be ripping off some from fabric from his coat (WHICH WAS NO BIGGIE SINCE HE HAD MORE THAN ONE BUNNYHOOD) and he'll be starting to wrap that around Otome's arm... awkwardly. It wouldn't had been as good as how she's treated their wounds, but he wanted to stop the bleeding somehow and do something. Seeing a friend bleeding like this was always an unsettling sight.]
no subject
You and I both know I've had worse. I'm sorry to ruin your jacket, though.
[ Considering the blood's already starting to soak through the fabric, whoops.
But then there's the other Otome, who's looking truly betrayed as Steven snatches her scalpel, gasping rather petulantly.
"Steven... why? I-I thought you cared, and you won't even let me defend myself?" ]
no subject
I care more than you know - just not about you.
[ the look on "her" face has his grip on the scalpel tightening, his eyes glancing to hiro and otome. ]
If it's all right with you two, I'd like this thing destroyed as quickly as possible.
[ he sounds calm, but his body language shows how tense he really is. ]
no subject
[Hiro gets up from Otome's side and walks over to Steven. In contrast, he's looking surprisingly calm and composed compared to a minute ago. But make no mistake, he was burning with fury on the inside. Even his tone is more curt and colder than the usual.
There's even a bizarre gleam in his eyes as he puts his hand over Steven's own. It was partly to calm the man down, yet Hiro was also mentally doing something else. He analyses Steven's body language and how tense he feels from holding the scalpel. Going off from that, Hiro makes a very simple conclusion--]
You've never killed before, haven't you? Between you and me, I have more experience with this kind of thing.
no subject
"What did I do wrong?? I just wanted to help everyone! I don't want to die!!"
Well. This is pleasant. ]
no subject
what's a little more surprising is seeing hiro's composure take such a turn. it's definitely not like what he's seen of the young man in the past, and the fact that he's saying that he has "experience" with killing... it's a little unsettling, but not enough to put him off. he feels as if he can trust him. ]
I won't let you do it alone. At least allow me to help. [ he's trying his best to ignore the robot's pleas, moving the scalpel to hiro's hand as his focus turns to carbink. it's still focusing its powers on the robot, but its expression looks a little troubled as well. ] Carbink, I'm counting on you.
[ the rock-type understands what its trainer is communicating, re-focusing itself to drag the robot out of the apartment and into the hallway, pinning it to the wall and out of otome's sight. steven follows, but not before giving the real otome a tired, but sympathetic smile. ]
no subject
[On the other hand, Hiro is giving Otome a very goofball-esque smile like he was seriously going to take out a garbage bag and come back for dinner. He's even speaking like this is a happy Sunday compared to just a second ago. It's... kind of settling how he can flip his switch on and off like nothing happened. And there were some questions about the rock-type demon(?) that he had, but this didn't seem like a good time to ask...
For now, Hiro is following Steven out of the apartment and once they reach their destination, he'll be casually holds up the scalpel with a friendly ol' smile.]
Okay, so here's the plan! We'll murder this thing by impaling it through the heart and I'll burn the remains. For all we know, this thing could piece itself back to life, so we gotta be very thorough with destroying it completely.
[He's talking like they're about to do co-op on a boss for a video game. It's hard to say if he's talking so lightheartedly to diffuse the situation or if he seriously did view this as a game to an extent. Like Miyako said, Hiro might have had a cold ideology to him, after all... Who knows.]
no subject
Otome moves once she can, even if it's just to wearily slump against the coffee table and close her eyes. She'll properly tend to her arm in a minute, or at least make sure the bleeding's slowed.
If only her robot could be so peaceful. But no, Otomebot has no qualms with struggling to free herself from Carbink's hold (which won't work) and, failing that, screaming in utter terror. In Otome's voice, but it's fine, probably.
Even when it starts to plead. It's fine, probably. ]
no subject
Does it even have a heart, though? It may look human on the outside, but the internal anatomy is still robotic. [ he thinks for a moment. ] If you can, I would slit the throat or break the neck for good measure. I agree on the burning.
[ he may not be able to walk the walk, but he certainly can talk the talk. ]
no subject
[It was a conceiving scream, but Hiro was not fazed. If anything, it was just fueling his inner fury more. He puts up his bunny hoodie (which was his Ash Ketchem equivalent of "IT'S MURDERING TIME") as he turns over to Robo-Otome and lifts his hand up as white flames start to sprout from his fingertips. It was like a white snake ready to coil and strike out as its prey. Now a quick and painless might have been what the robot was wishing, but...
Hiro would not give it that blessing right now. He wanted let off some steam with some well deserved revenge. It didn't have feelings, yet he wanted to make it suffer. Anything that hurts his friends or lacked empathy for human lives wasn't going to get any sympathy from him.]
I'm gonna activate this thing's self-destruct sequence. [Hiro never came without his stone-cold one-liners. The white flames will strike out to Robo-Otome's arm and burn its way through the clothes and the skin. Hiro was currently adjusting his will to "hurt, suffer die you heartless piece of junk". The flames will be munching away at the machine's arm as Hiro was inflicting the same wounds that it gave Otome. Eventually, Hiro jerks his hand back like a puppeteer dancing with its strings annnnd... The whole arm of the robot pops right off.]
Sorry! It doesn't have feelings, but I wanted to give it a small dose of what Otome was feeling. Not that it'll get it.
no subject
... Except no, she can't only imagine, because after that, she's slowly getting to her feet and moving towards the doorway. It's not so much that it's her own voice she's hearing, because she already knows that she and the robot don't share that sort of connection. No matter what it looks like, it isn't her.
But just because it isn't doesn't mean she can let this pass, not with Hiro like this. There's a difference between putting an end to an enemy and drawing that end out, like torture, and she can't allow that. So-- ]
Hiro-kun. [ softly, but steadily, as she leans against the door frame rather heavily and takes in the scene.
That sure is an arm lying there, and oil smeared on the floor. ]
This isn't the right way to go about this. You know that, don't you?
no subject
it's easier to cope with when he sees its circutry and that its "blood" is black oil, but it's still unpleasant. his eyes turn to otome when she speaks, though - he's tempted to tell her to take it easy and go back to resting, but he knows that there's no point in that. ]
She's right. Believe me - I understand your feelings, but the faster this gets done, the better.
no subject
[Get it? Arm for an arm? How he could keep up comedy in this situation was a miracle or maybe he had more screws loose than one would think. And despite that surprisingly frightening display of violence, Hiro is still smiling which could be more unsettling than the act itself. But much to their wishes, he abides and walks up to Robo-Otome and holds up the scalpel to its throat.]
Welp! It's been fun, but you need to die now. Bye bye. ♥
[And like he was slicing through hot butter, Hiro lets the scalpel slit through the neck of the robot and the 'blood' spurting from the the 'jugular' will be landing on his face and clothes. Good thing that this wasn't real blood or that would make this whole sight even more unsettling.
Despite all of that, Hiro is mentally going "Mission cleared!" Saving Otome was the objective and her nor Steven was killed in the process. Just another day in the life for a hero!]
no subject
Thank you both... I'm afraid things got a little... out... of...
[ Except something's clearly wrong, still, because Otome's a little too pale, and even with an injured arm, that shouldn't be enough blood loss to have made her need to lean on the doorframe for assistance.
Especially considering that she's actually starting to slump more to the ground. ]
no subject
Don't over-exert yourself. You're still losing blood. [ and to hiro: ] We can't wait any longer; she needs proper medical attention. Can I leave the rest to you?
[ taking her to the colony hospital would mean leaving hiro alone to burn the robot's remains... but from the way he's handled things so far, that shouldn't be a problem for him. ]
no subject
--Yeah, thanks a bunch! I'll check on every now and then to see how she's doing. I'm probably gonna be busy with more clean up duty here.
[There were more of these monsters running around and hurting people. He planned on checking on with more of his circle to see how everyone was faring. And in the process, he'd have to do survey throughout the streets to see if there was anyone who needed helped. All of this was just reminding him of his experiences back home and...
It was strange. He almost felt excited that something like this was happening again... He felt bad that Otome had to suffer and Steven had gone caught up in this, yet things weren't boring now. Hiro will hold up the blown off arm for some wave gestures as he starts to walk off.]
Take care of her, okay? I'm counting on you, Steven.
no subject
But for now, she can't keep an eye on him properly, not like this. Sorry, Steven, she may not be of much help here when it comes to moving her anywhere. ]
no subject
[ it's cool, it's cool. he's actually a little stronger than he looks, so it isn't much of a problem to have her lean on him, and carbink is still there to help position her properly now that its telekinesis isn't focused on the bot. once they're outside, metagross will be able to take over in carrying her in a quicker, more comfortable fashion.
still... he's concerned about hiro, too. he might be capable, but he can't leave him alone in good conscience. ]
...Take Carbink with you. If anything goes wrong, it can offer reliable support.
no subject
[In mid-walk, Hiro stops to point over to Carbink. While Hiro thought that he was capable to handle himself with all of his confidence, he had to recall the chance that something bad could go down. Having an extra ally would help for some reassurance and he didn't want to turn down Steven's offer of concern.
And he had some questions... But he'd save them for Steven for much later on.]
Hehe... Okay then. The more friends, the merrier! [He'll throw up a little statue at the Pokemon.] Nice to meetcha, Carbink! Let's survive together!
[It almost sounded like they were going for a picnic instead of fighting for their lives. Whenever everything cools down, Hiro will return him for sure. He had Byakko and Aramisaki, but he wasn't going to pass up having more pals along for the ride. Didn't matter if they were human, demon or anything else... As long as he could help others survive and have some fun along the way... Everything would be fine.]
