What: It's Taichi's turn in the robopocalypse, and Agumon's caught in the middle.

A: The Digi-Hangover

[Taichi hasn't had the most pleasant of awakenings. His clothes, his goggles, his digivice, his cerevice... virtually everything is missing. Including, most importantly, Agumon!

So, you'll find a young boy wandering around the streets in his pajamas while shouting out.]

Agumon! Agumoooon! Where are you?!

B: Making My Way Downtown

[Agumon's over with a different Taichi, one who is dressed in Taichi's normal attire, complete with the digivice and Cerevice. All was going according to plan... not even the orange lizard walking at his side had caught onto the difference yet.]

Taichi, what happened to our robot friend?

Oh, I sent him on an errand to the other side of town! We'll meet up with him later. [He says with a casual smile.] For now, let's just find all of our friends!

Okay! Sounds like fun!

Tell me what I need to do to make you happy and I'll do it.

You don't have to do anything for me. But if... If you and the other Hikari can each be happy?

[He smiles.]

That's all I really need to be happy.

[Her eyes narrowed. She turned to face him completely.]

You mentioned her again. [The "other" Hikari.] Stop it. I don't want you to keep thinking of her. You're supposed to be spending time with me.

I'm the one making you happy. Not her. She's not even here.

[Whoa. Taichi's alarmed by her sudden shift, and his eyes widen.]

H-hey! It's okay. We can still be happy spending time together. She still exists, you know. But... There's no reason why we can't all be happy, right?

[She continued to stare. Long and hard.]

...and what if she didn't?

[...That look on his sister's face unnerves him, and now he's more taken aback.]

What- what do you mean? [He has to be misunderstanding something about her tone, he's sure of it.]

She still exists. But what if she didn't?

Then I would be the only Hikari, and your only sister. I would be the only one who could make you happy like that. You'd have to love me.

[A look of horror spreads on his face at the idea. How could a robot emulating his little sister say something so disturbing? Tears are almost stinging at his eyes as he responds sharply.]

No.

[After a beat, he finds words and spits them out, charged with emoition.]

Hikari has to exist. She has to! And I can't love anyone or anything that hurts her.

[Taichi can't help but imagine it now, and it comes out in the coldness of his next words.]

If... if the real Hikari did not exist... then I'd never be happy.

[For a minute, it seemed as if the robot faltered in her resolve. Her eyes softened, and she looked almost...hurt.]

[But then the steel was back once more, and she pulled her hand back and shook her head.]

You say that now, but that's because you haven't been given the chance.

You'll see. You can learn. Just like I did.

[And she started to turn and walk towards a nearby tree.]

[Taichi's eyes widened at that expression of hurt. Despite his outburst and how much this robot was coming to unnerve him... that still struck him raw in his emotions.

At his heart, he still wants to help her. If he could be a good big brother to her and help her, maybe she wouldn't have these odd and scary thoughts. But now, he doesn't know what to do, as she wanders away. But her words are still chilling in their own way, and Taichi attempts to follow her.]

What do you mean? What are you going to do?! We can still work this out! You don't have to... you don't have to feel that way! [He's desperately grasping at straws here.]

[While he was grasping at straws, she grasped for one of the fallen tree branches on the ground. Testing the weight in her hands as she stared down at it and spoke.]

I'm going to do the only thing I can do, Oniichan.

[With that, she turned and swung at him. Hard.]

And I can't have you try to stop me!

[That's quite a thing to grasp! Not to mention to hit someone with. Taichi didn't see it coming, and the blow threw him back against a tree trunk, which he slouches against with blood tricking down from his nose.]

[Satisfied that he wouldn't be able to stop her, the robot threw the stick away and turned to head off.]

Because.

It's the only way. You'll see.

No...

[He groans, but that hit and the impact with the tree leave him too dazed to do anything about it. But he worries - not only about Hikari, but about what his own robot could be up to, and if Agumon is okay. He'll have a lot of searching to do when he's ready to move again...]
