What: It's Taichi's turn in the robopocalypse, and Agumon's caught in the middle.

A: The Digi-Hangover

[Taichi hasn't had the most pleasant of awakenings. His clothes, his goggles, his digivice, his cerevice... virtually everything is missing. Including, most importantly, Agumon!

So, you'll find a young boy wandering around the streets in his pajamas while shouting out.]

Agumon! Agumoooon! Where are you?!

B: Making My Way Downtown

[Agumon's over with a different Taichi, one who is dressed in Taichi's normal attire, complete with the digivice and Cerevice. All was going according to plan... not even the orange lizard walking at his side had caught onto the difference yet.]

Taichi, what happened to our robot friend?

Oh, I sent him on an errand to the other side of town! We'll meet up with him later. [He says with a casual smile.] For now, let's just find all of our friends!

Okay! Sounds like fun!

Why are you so selfish?! [He goes back a little with the kick, but he quickly comes back swinging.] You get me, or no one! Those are your options, Mr. Friendship!

[Agumon nods and runs over to try to pull back at Taichi.]

Please, you have to stop! Think of what the real Taichi would do!

Real Taichi, real Taichi... Stop talking about stuff like that! We don't need any other Taichi anymore!

[He's mostly human at this point, but he's still a bit stronger than the ordinary Taichi is, while he keeps trying to attack Yamato, more savagely than the real Taichi would.]

[Before Yamato can fully get back to his feet the swing hits, and he belatedly throws up his arms to shield himself from more blows. Ordinarily he'd be able to hold his own against Taichi, but this is way beyond anything like that. If he doesn't get away, he could be in trouble.

Which is when Gabumon steps in.]

I won't let you hurt Yamato! Petit Fire! [He's not aiming to seriously hurt Taichi, but hopefully catching his clothes alight a little might be enough to scare him into putting distance between them.]

[Taichi just barely rolls out of the way of the fire with an angry growl, but his clothes are singed; still, he's about to go right back at Yamato again, but first he addresses Agumon.]

Agumon! You're my partner, you have to protect me! Something's wrong with both of them, and we have to stop it!

[Agumon doesn't believe him for a second, but he can't bring himself to attack even a fake Taichi, either.]

Please, just stop! I won't hurt you, but I can't help you with this either!

[The brief respite is enough for Yamato to stumble to his feet, backing off from Taichi. He's a little bruised, but now that he's on his feet he's ready to face Taichi on more equal footing if he has to. Gabumon stands protectively in front of him, hoping it won't have to come to that.]

Friends aren't things you can treat like belongings! [Yamato shouts at Taichi.] You can't just take them away from other people and keep them all for yourself! That's why Agumon won't listen to you -- he isn't yours to take either!

Who are you to tell me stuff like that, Yamato?! [He points at the other boy accusingly.] I'm just trying to hold onto my friends! You're the one who turned against me first. You can't stop thinking about other Taichis!

[Now he looks at Agumon again.]

Agumon, quick! Warp evolve and take care of them!

Taichi, I... won't...

Agumon!! [He growls.] We'll see about that! [The Taichibot now rushes forward and tries to punch at Gabumon instead! Endangering himself is the best way to get a partner to evolve, right?]

Ahh! [Gabumon ducks and backs away without counterattacking. He's surprised to be attacked so directly, when he'd been sure his Petit Fire would be enough to scare any ordinary human away.] What should we do?!

If he won't listen to reason, we have to stop him.

[Yamato says it through gritted teeth, and Gabumon nods. The Digivice at Yamato's belt begins to glow, enveloping Gabumon in turn.]

Gabumon, evolve! ...Garurumon!

[Once transformed, Garurumon pounces at Taichi, using his larger size to try and pin him down. He's still holding back and trying not to hurt him at this stage, though, not wanting to do anything that might trigger Agumon's evolution.]

He- he evolved! [Taichi fakes fear to try to appeal to Agumon. With Garurumon's strength, the robot is easily pinned down, but he uses this to his advantage.]

You see, Agumon?! They're just trying to attack me! You have to help me, Agumon, I believe in you!

I- I...

[Agumon clutches at his head with fear. Even if he knows by now that this isn't definitely the robot, hearing Taichi's voice call out like that fills him with pain. And part of him does also have an inch of doubt: what if this is the real Taichi and he's just acting strange?

It's all overwhelming, and so evolution is forced. The digivice at the Taichibot's side glows while a bright glow surrounds Agumon as he transforms into Greymon.]

Further!! You need to be stronger! He- he's about to eat me!

[And in a panic, the glow remains, but also with a surrounding darkness as the evolution tries to force itself to continue...]

[Garurumon leaps off of Taichibot when he sees Greymon transform, crouched and ready to strike. They've seen this before, so for something similar to happen again, something must be wrong... Garurumon glances back at Yamato and Taichi.]

Both of you, stay back!

Idiot! [Heeding Garurumon's warning, Yamato backs off still further and shouts at Taichi. He's preparing to run if he has to.] Make Greymon stop! If you do this, you'll be putting yourself in danger as well!

No! [The Taichibot shouts back and folds his arms.] What's wrong, Yamato? Scared? I bet you wished I was the only Taichi you cared about now!

[It's too late, anyway. The evolution is completed; and a large roaring skeleton is standing where Agumon once was.]

You think this will change my mind?! How could you use Agumon like this?! [Yamato shouts at Taichi, his voice shaking with anger. Yes, he's afraid -- how couldn't he be, knowing SkullGreymon's strength and knowing he's outmatched so long as Garurumon's power is limited to Adult level? Yet the anger he feels at this Taichi who could do such terrible things to his friends far outstrips that.]

We need to stop him. Go, Garurumon!

[Garurumon runs and leaps at SkullGreymon, opening his mouth and shooting a burst of blue flame from his jaws.] Fox Fire!

Hey, this is your fault! You're the one who let it come to this! Come on, Skullgreymon, destroy them!

[Skullgreymon lets out a roar and slaps at the Fox Fire, only mildly scathed by it. The digimon proceeds to advance forward, and the Taichi robot (actually named Property of Taichi, or Props for short) looks up at him with a sneer.]

I knew I could count on you, Agumon! You really care for me... You're the only one of these so-called 'friends' worth living!

[But Skullgreymon doesn't seem to notice or have any interest in the robot's words at all. Rather, he keeps on stepping forward and kicks at Props, who is sent flying against a wall and collapses lifelessly, with black oil oozing out. The digivice and Taichi's goggles conveniently scatter along the ground nearby.]
