[SO. After Kashuu's texted everyone to round up the posse and passed out the directions - to Grell, anyway, since Lili's already been here before - he hops his way on over to the pleasure district (while thinking to himself that really, someone needs to start a spa in a more tasteful location, gosh).

Not that he's embarrassed to be here, though. He's standing in front of the spa's entrance, hands on his hips, looking around with a muted, distracted sort of curiosity as people mill past. During the daytime, it's pretty relaxing to be here, actually... But!! He immediately snaps out of whatever thoughts he's currently contemplating when Punk 1 and Punk 2 finally arrive, waving them over with enthusiasm.]

Hey! I already got us signed up for the best stuff, but you can take a look through this, if you want.

[He's got a pamphlet in his hand that lists out everything from Ridiculously Expensive Facials to hot stone massages. This place has it all...]

[She hates the pleasure district so very, very much. There may or may not be an effort to cover her face with her hair up until she actually catches sight of Kashuu, picking up her pace to meet him at the spa's entrance because she is here! For a spa! And absolutely nothing else, how disgusting!!

There's visible relief as her shoulders relax as she takes the pamphlet from him and right on cue:]

Oh, the facials sound acceptable. [Raising a hand to place it on her cheek. HAS HER SKIN RECOVERED FROM HER HOSPITAL VISIT??] I can pay for all of us....

[stop throwing money to make friends, Lili]

[you know, the pleasure district should shock her. it should be delightfully scandalous in the dark of night and require a lady to hide her face with a veil as she maneuvers through and finds the one who summoned her to this excursion...well, it's daytime and she's currently lacking in a veil and her only choice is to drift through trying not to take as many peeks as she wants. let her sink into some absurd metaphor about debauchery and sensual pleasures later. why does anyone know her.

in any case, she arrives much less tense than Lili does, waving hello back when she sees the two and glancing at the pamphlet without actually taking it.]

Oh, Lili, you certainly don't have to...

[unless you're going to insist on it as the repayment for her sheltering you back with the duplicates or something. generosity is nice, but it's unladylike to take advantage of people unless they're certain wastes of life. you have to have standards.]

But my fate I place into both of your hands. You're the more experienced ones here!

[which is a prospect she doesn't sound bothered by at all.]

[What a ragtag group... Lili will have to have enough shame for both Kashuu and Grell, who will apparently just skip through the whole place a-okay on their own.

That said, at the offer, Kashuu raises his free hand. The other waves the pamphlet around a little.]

Oh - I got those covered already, it's fine!

[Kashuu: stealing Lili's friend-making methods... EXCEPT NAH he just gets good discounts here (as he does in half of the places around the city?!), so he uses that to his full advantage. Either way, he'll lead the way to the front door and hold it open for his fellow beauty companions.]

So! You wanna start with facials? We can do manicures later, too... [Gotta have those, okay.]

[KASHUU DOING THE KASHUU THING - but she actually looks more pleased and appreciative than put out that her idea was already covered. Nice job, Kashuu, going above and beyond expectations. So she's just going to clap her hands once at that and walk through the door.]

You have done well.

[PRAISE BE, IT'S BEAUTY TIME

and she turns to Grell:]

You needn't worry, we won't lead you astray.

[she's going to owe you for this, Kashuu, but for now she won't voice that thought and instead follow behind Lili like a bright red, tall duckling. it helps her feel a little more at ease to take her cues from someone else.]

Perish the thought. I see this as a doubtlessly rewarding adventure that we all need - no, that we deserve.

[even if the structure of such places has changed greatly from what she knows, she firmly believes the principle is the same - a refreshment of the body and spirit.]

[Aw yeah a "you did good, kid" from Lili. He's beaming and then IN HE GOES and over to the front, where he'll lay the paper back for the receptionist to take. Just a few words and he'll have their facials and manicures all set up! It's clear he's done this A Lot.

But while the stations are being prepared, he'll turn back to face Grell, contemplating the question.]

Y'know, things have been going okay for now.

[Like, considering all the PAIN AND MISERY that the bots rained down on them, and the confusing nonsense that followed shortly... He'll watch Lili noticeably though, since she's the one who got megastabbed and all.]

Um.

Lili exchanges a quick glance in Kashuu's direction, but the fact that he's watching her just manages to fluster her a bit. Rude shit, don't give her away!! Nevermind that given this timeline, she probably got out of the hospital... yesterday... and found out that her roommate was missing.... yesterday.

A remarkably girlish response from Lili as she looks her age for once, glancing downward and floundering for an answer-]

Well enough! [ . . . . ] This day is simply... a welcome change.

[YEAH.]

[she can sense blatant attempts to hide the truth, but she's tactful enough sometimes to not push it. she'll get the full story later. maybe months later, but eventually, she hopes she'll get it.

but for both of their sakes, she'll keep the conversation moving past that.]

Oh, that's just splendid.

[no need to talk right now about the duplicates, about needing to smash their metal heads into the street...]

I'm so used to being busy with work that I really can relate. Always someone needing something or something needing attention and to be done...relaxing is usually so far out of the question. Ah, suffering builds character, but it is still no welcome friend.

[A BLESSING, THAT GRELL. Kashuu will talk to Lili about it later, too, because he's Concerned™ but - now is the time for recuperation and relaxation. No need to bog down the mood, right?]

That sounds super busy... Relaxing is important, too! [Of course Kashuu "tries to get out of fieldwork whenever possible" Kiyomitsu would think that.]

Maybe we could make this a monthly thing or something. That way we'll always have a little relaxation to look forward to whenever things get super crazy.

[And the stations are cleared out now, so in comes an attendant to beckon them back! This is one of his favorite rooms in the building, if only because it has the best smell. Lavender is nice and soothing and all, but he prefers brighter, more citrus-y scents, and the face masks and fresh water spritzers used here leave that behind.]

[the Starbucks Squad begins to take root....

Lili's glad that they're moving right along regardless, her shoulders relaxing as she follows after and seems right at home with the soothing scents and treatments intended specifically for relaxation. She inhales and despite everything, she manages a small smile.]

I wouldn't be opposed.

[A set date for relaxation.... sure, why not. Especially since-]

Grell, you should take time to relax especially. Just because we are here, that doesn't mean that we need to be suffering.

[she knows that kashuu treats himself alright.............. but grell that's such a worrying answer?!]

But suffering can mean so many things! Suffering under stress, for something noble, suffering for love...oh, one doesn't need to be suffering, but some of the deepest sentiments in life can only be found through it.

[she says this without a trace of being self conscious, moving along with them. thankfully this attendant isn't looking back and has probably seen worse than anything Grell throws out...]

But for your sakes I'll make the attempt to simply relax. I promise.

[THAT'S AN EVEN MORE WORRYING THING TO HEAR. Grell sounds like a lot of the older swords and spirits he knows when she talks like that, honestly... He glances over his shoulder with a look of Vague Concern before he's guided into one of a row of seats, all set side by side. Easy to talk this way, at least!]

That's, like... A different way of looking at things, I guess.

[Different, but not necessarily bad?! Hopefully?? He sure is hoping so.]

But this is totally the place to relax if you're gonna! It smells nice and the music and water sound good, right? Taking a little time out for yourself everyone once in a while is a perfect way to strike a balance here.

Lili's just as surprised, even as she's taking a seat herself?! Goodness, what...... The attendants all sort of flutter around them, getting them ready for their spa treatments. But Lili's still fixating on what came out of Grell's mouth?!]

I suppose that suffering is sometimes necessary in order to see results - but please don't let yourself suffer in this place.

but as it is no more bizarre proclamations come out of her mouth, and she lets the attendants do as they please. today was more of a luxury than anything else, and there's something gloriously fun in that.

But since Grell really does seem to be having a good time, Kashuu relaxes a little too, content to let people fuss over his face and hair all they want. At some point, he'll make a vague remark--]

Huh... Does anyone know what this is? It smells kinda familiar.

[Something's scented with wisteria, but since it doesn't grow in the mountains, it's been a while since he's smelled it back home.]

[ . . . . oh.

She hadn't even noticed it until he points it out, but Lili's just humming softly at the question. However given the fact that she works in a flower shop, there's really no way that she can't place it.]

[In about two seconds though, her eyes snap open and she begins screaming internally.
