[It would be kinder in a lot of ways, to not have to dwell on the things a place like this was able to give you, only to take it away. But then again... Souji wouldn't trade his memories of this place for the world. There's a lot of bad ones, and some hideously embarrassing ones too, but at the end all of it was part of a greater gift which nothing can cheapen for him. It's the gift of hours, days, weeks, months added to a life which could only be counted in units of that length to begin with.]

[Now he tilts his head thoughtfully, sitting up a bit straighter to peer on the other side of the bar. Then, making sure that no waiter-like figure is in sight, he makes an effort and awkwardly heaves himself over to the other side of the bar. There is still some sense of grace to his movements, even though it's clear that each one is a huge effort to him. And it gives him an opportunity to nick two containers of - hopefully - water and place them on the bar, grinning.

I think you're going to have to lift me back over now, huh? [It's somehow more okay if it's Sano, any Sano, because he could easily lift most people around regardless. And it's easier too if it's mostly made a joke of, mostly for fun, and less obviously because without a stool on the other side, he most likely can't get back.]
