You know what everyone needs after rampant robotic attacks and another iteration of clone wars? A vacation! That’s right everyone, you deserve this. CERES understands what you need. CERES is here for you all the time, so never doubt that this is a pleasure colony, and they are here to look after all of your needs. Kick your feet up, relax, and let CERES Recreation and Activity Necessity Keepers (Team RANK, that is) set you up with your ideal getaway. It’s as if you can sense the incoming relaxation and luxury before you even completely finish loading. There’s the warmth encompassing your entire body as your code gets transferred into this particular ViViD Level. A cool, refreshing breeze hits you. The sounds of waves gently lapping against the coast fill you with relaxation. The sun, the sand, the surfs, it’s all there – welcome to the beach, baby! An echoing greeting message from the ocean comes next, if you can translate it. OOOOOOOOOOOOHMAHH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHD. YOOOOOOOOOOOORRRALL SOOOOOOOOOOOOO KYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT. KYOOOOOOOOOOOT EEEENAAAAUUUUUUUF TOOOOOOOOOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

PHASE I [ 0800 ] That said, isn’t that breeze a little… too strong? It feels like it’s brushing up against all of you, if you know what I mean. When you open your eyes and look down, it becomes rather clear why. It seems that you’ve found yourself in some pretty interesting attire. Everyone. No exceptions. You appear to have two options – be overcome and scream like the Victorian maiden your heart says you are, or strut like a model in this stuff. Turn some heads! Work that up do! But don’t worry, we’re also conscious about safety here at CERES! Therefore everyone’s also been provided a pair of super high-tech safety-tested appendage protection floatation devices (STAPFD for short.) At least everyone around you is caught in the same sort of attire – and everyone around you also appears to be stuck inside a giant sand castle. It’s entirely malleable to what you want it to be! Want to see a fancy sand bidet? Feel like adding a sand statue in your honor? Think that wall should now be a door? Well, with enough perseverance, you can make it happen! Just uh, be careful about getting sand in your… everywhere. PHASE II [ 1000 ] Someone broke it. Not pointing any fingers, even though you sure do seem like a prime suspect, but someone broke it. It almost starts like an earthquake with how the castle starts to rumble, the sand shaking right beneath your feet. And then the walls right next to you start to cave in followed promptly by the ceiling right… above your head. Oh dear. The sand starts to run and fall, losing its structure and shape. The hallway behind you starts to cave in, ceiling first and then the walls follow suit. Now the sand really is getting everywhere – but not just uncomfortable places. It’s in your hair, your eyes, your nose…. this sure doesn’t seem like a pleasant way to go! Best to start running – there’s a trusty drawbridge to get over the moat (because what’s a sandcastle without a moat?) but who knows how long until that, too, is going to give way? Best to cross over it before it starts to shake and disappear too. Or if you don’t make it, hopefully you can land some pretty impressive airtime to make it to the other side! If not, well...there'll be the sensation of sand crushing down upon you, filling your mouth and eyes, and you won't be able to breathe at all – and then you're alive again on the beach (but possibly in yet another new, uncomfortable, skimpy swimsuit). Honestly, be more careful, would you? PHASE III [ 1200 ] However, once you do make it to the other side, it’s all smooth sailing from there! Or is it? Hah, as they say, life sure can be a beach. Which is what this is. Welcome to your Beach Episode, folks. Now that you’ve made it out of the collapsing sand castle, you’ve made it to the luxurious, picturesque golden coastline. Sure, you’re coughing up fine, luxurious, sand dust right now and you’ve definitely gotten sand in all of your crevices thanks to your swimsuit, but that’s okay! Go take a soak in the ocean or something or cool off with a smoothie. There’s a smoothie shack off into the distance, complete with a long chalkboard with… well, probably a few familiar names? And some unfamiliar ingredients. Sounds appetizing right? That said, once you do ingest some of the smoothie with the name of a newcomer, you might suddenly find yourself feeling a bit… different. You’ll be taking on some of their traits, one of the most intense parts of their personality – or you might need to take a second to sit down because you’re suddenly seeing one of their memories. Whoa. What do they actually put in this stuff? PHASE IV [ 1500 ] For the brave souls that venture out into the water, you have even more adventures waiting for you. Anyone who’s swimming around, wading in the water—hell, even looking at the water is getting scooped up and deposited in one of these giant orbs. But don’t take up too much room, because someone else is getting shoved right in there with you. Time to get cozy with your new friend, because it's only going to get worse as the waves begin to carry you out into this big, blue, virtual ocean. Hopefully the choppy waves don’t bounce you around too much or – well, you could always get really friendly with a stranger! Why not? At least until it’s made very clear that fresh air does not make it back into these balls. That seems like a bit of a design flaw. Now what? Fight the other person who’s inhaling all your air? Suffer through it for swimsuit-clad fun? Or if you break it…. well, you sure are stranded out in the ocean. Or are you? After enough flailing, you’ll be met by a giant, dumb-looking creature who will then eat you whole. Everything goes dark. This is surely the end -- And then you're in Cerealia proper; it seems that was the exit to the level (but why there?) and you'll find yourself either in one of the fountains or the pond in the park. Either way, you'll be very, very well. And this time, that's not virtual. But hey, at least you'll have all of your stuff with you. BONUS [ xxxx ] Do you hear that? Anyone idle on the beach will hear a distant melody coming from further out into the ocean. It’s a beautiful, elegant song that automatically makes the listener stop what they’re doing and immediately wander toward the noise. It takes you a moment to recall – it takes a moment to think about anything now, really – but you remember hearing the smoothie shack owner say something about mermaids populating the beach. Could this be their song calling out to you? Whether you would normally abide by this kind of call or not, you find your feet walking further and further out into the water, the shallows lapping up to your ankles and up and up as you are drawn in by the song. A rather classic song, though the usual instances of French are also replaced with the very enticing, enchanting nonsense promise of omelette du fromage........and then they try to drown you. [ Remember to apply proper warnings on threads with sensitive or inappropriate material and do let a mod know if your thread careens off into maiming or canoodling so we can lock the log. ]

PHASE I

[ To be fair, it isn't the first time she's found herself in a strange castle that she doesn't think she has any business being in, but it is the first time she's appeared in one with such revealing clothing. Although, it's that thought alone that has her stopping, the memories of a previous time in another world coming back to her -- it was an odd thing to have two years worth of memories rather suddenly returned to you.

Once she manages to calm herself, to take a breath, to settle, she's quick to test her magic, using an illusion to cover her unfortunate swimsuit to instead be in a tank top and shorts: much more acceptable for her comfort and still working for the climate she finds herself in. She glances up after casting the spell and purses her lips when she finds that someone actually saw her do this; Clarke doesn't even know what type of world she's in, if using magic is acceptable, but her cover might just be blown now. ]

Did you see that? [ She sounds apprehensive, but not entirely unfriendly. ]

PHASE III

[ As soon as the castle began to deconstruct itself around them, Clarke had stepped into one shadow and emerged from another, not wanting to even try and fight her way out of something; running was something she had become good at, but with her magic returned, she's itching to use it. Granted, knowing she isn't in the Drabwurld (or her home world, for that matter), Clarke knows that using it so blatantly is probably not the best idea after her initial use inside the castle. Instead, she uses shadow travel, hoping that no one actually manages to see it; she has no real interest in explaining herself again.

From there, she makes her way down the beach to where people seem to be congregating to get a drink. Her own eyes begin to scan down the list, stopping when she finds her name. Hot-blooded shounen tears? She arches an eyebrow in question before she hoists herself behind the counter in order to rub a hand through her name, erasing it from being requested as a drink, despite seeing that priceless is listed for the cost.

Satisfied, she jumps the counter back to the other side before walking from the shack, obviously disinterested in actually spending any amount of time waiting around to see the results of why people can order based on names. Instead, she drops starts to walk along the beach, looking like a woman on a mission, headed towards- something. ]

BONUS

[ Experience with the sea-dwellers in her previous world, Clarke is at least aware enough to be able to ignore the call of their voice, though she wonders if it's her own ability to compel that prevents her from being called into the water by the creatures that lie in wait. What had someone said- Mermaids? She's not entirely sure, but it would be the first familiar non-human creature she's seen so far.

Despite knowing that her closeness to the water's edge could be an invitation for them to come to her, she doesn't seem entirely bothered by the prospect. Instead, she seems to be waiting for others to wander too close to the ebb and flow of the waves, putting some measure of compulsion in her voice when she sees anyone get too close; it's only so that she can get their attention away from their deadly friends beneath the surface. ]

Unless you can breathe under water, you shouldn't go any further. [ It's as good of a warning as any, right? ]

[Bellamy sees her name on the board at the smoothie shack and freezes. He has no idea what hot blooded shounen tears are and does not care, because he's trying not to get his hopes up on what seeing Clarke Griffin on the board might mean. If she's here, if this is another wave of people arriving through the ViViD, he needs to find her, preferably before it takes a turn for the worst like his own arrival experience.]

[There's a towel wrapped around his waist because Bellamy might not be shy about himself, but it doesn't mean others should be subject to his ass unwillingly ok; he knots it as he moves hurriedly at the beach, not interested in having it fall off and not having the time to keep adjusting it. He wants to just start shouting for her, every glance of blonde sending sharp hope through his chest, all of which fall flat as each face proves to not be Clarke. He's not exactly trying to be subtle (impossible anyway, with the way he's rushing around), but he's not actively trying to draw attention to himself either; he isn't thinking about appearances at all.]

[He barely apologizes when he bumps into people, pausing only once when he accidentally knocks into someone a little too hard to make sure they're okay. There's a flash of red down the sand that catches him off guard, because - it feels like Clarke in the way they move, but for all he knows it's the game being an asshole. He moves towards the woman anyway like he can't help it, even if his gaze is more frantic in every other direction.]

[If the drink was a fakeout, he doesn't think he'll be able to handle it. So for now he just tells himself that Clarke is here, and that he needs to find her. The rest of the beach party doesn't matter.]

[Phase II]

[The good news is that the Dead or Alive ninja girls exist in Kaguya's world, so honestly skimpy clothing and bikinis aren't really anything that phase her. However, the fact that she's wearing one is totally different. She does spend a good amount of time quietly freaking out about this-- Who does this game think she is?? Da Ji!?--before deciding that helping people escape the crumbling sandcastle is a bigger priority.

Lucky for you all, Kaguya can teleport!

Which is exactly what happens when she suddenly grabs your character's hand] I will get you to safety. [There's a shimmering golden light, and then suddenly the two of you are safe and sound and relatively sand-free on the other side of the...moat thing. She sighs in relief.]

Krazy...Kaguya Sunrise?

[Kaguya studies the menu and lets out a delighted little laugh, covering her mouth politely.] Is this a human invention? I have never had a... 'smoothie' before. I will never tie of the ingenious nature of humans.

It is too bad I do not have navy ships with which to buy it with...

[She reads the rest of the menu, occasionally laughing out loud at a particularly clever or ridiculous one.] What is 'crystal meth'...?

[Phase IV: A]

[Well alright then. After being dumped rather unceremoniously into one of those ball things, she flails and immediately drops to her knees and just sort of. Sits there. Because getting up and moving around is clearly not the answer here and she frowns gently. Despite the weird bathing suit, she's the picture of a demure royal, back straight and hands folded neatly in her lap.

Kaguya looks to whoever the unfortunate second party is here and clears her throat a little to get their attention] I am sorry you were also brought into this. Shall I try to get us out?

[It's 100% likely that her attempts to teleport them to safety, however, will just be met with landing in the ocean. Still, it's a good offer, right?]

[Phase IV: B]

[The good news is, she's back in her regular modest clothing. The bad news is she totally landed in the pond and that's 12 layers of fabric she has to fight through now.

She struggles to the shore, putting on the grass three round mirrors and her sakaki wand. She's glad to have them, but they're very damp now. But... her robes are really heavy soaked like this, she can hardly pull herself up. She looks around desperately.]

Excuse me? Please-- I am terribly sorry to be a bother, but could you please help me? [She looks rather miserable and embarrassed] My sincerest apologies for causing such trouble...

[ And here's someone who's managed to overhear the conversation in its entirety, but opts to be somewhat helpful by answering the question in the kindest of voices, although her expression is somewhat serious. ]

I wouldn't drink anything with that in it, if I were you.

[ Then again, she's skeptical of anything CERES offers here, to be honest. Especially when she's looking at that list of smoothies. . . ] I mean, unless you're a fan of getting high, then I won't stop you.

[ PHASE I ]

[ Sure, anyone would be surprised to find themselves in strange attire, especially if it's a swimsuit, but Caster? Ahahaha, well...she's pretty much loving it right now. After all, she's worn a skimpy swimsuit before, in another timeline or something like that, so what's the harm in this? Though...the floatie is a bit strange. How did they get it on her with her ears in the way?

More pressing is the sand castle she's stuck in, as well as the fact that she's stuck in it with a bunch of other people. She appreciates a hot, sweaty body as much as the next gal,. ]

I saw we smash the walls down. [ Said with the biggest grin too. She certainly doesn't want to be in here, not when there's surely an oceanfront outside to enjoys instead! So she goes right ahead, tail all a-twitching, and makes a door outline in the wall...which she then kicks as if that will work. ]


[ PHASE III ]

[ The smoothie shack is just the thing to make an otherwise sandy day better! Caster certainly appreciates it, what with her coughing up sand and having to brush it out of her ears. Remember how characters in the old cartoons would smack their head and a waterfall of sand would come out? Yeah, pretty much the same thing for her right now.

One particular smoothie flavor catches her eye, and of course she has to order it. ]

Aww, it's called Tamamango! How cute. [ She's flattered someone had the decency to make something in her honor! And it tastes just as good as it should, she discovers after a little sip. She can't help turning to another person next to her and asking about their own. The color is interesting, but she's more interested in whatever pun they came up with for their special drink. ] What's yours called?


[ PHASE IV - A ]

[ She should've stayed away from the water, she realizes. Something grabbed her and put her in...a thing. The best way she can describe it, really, and now she's in some goofy bubble!? She wants to be swimming and basking in the lovely sun, preferably with a hot guy or girl slathering her back with oil. Not...whatever horror movie she's found herself in now!

She turns to her companion in the odd orb and shakes their shoulder rather insistently. ]

Ooooooh, this is just cruel! Isn't it?! [ She stops shaking them to hug their arm instead, which was probably a bad idea given the amount of boobage she has, but she's too busy being agitated and growling at the water outside them to notice. ] This is no way to spend a vacation! Help me get out of here!


[ PHASE IV - B ]

[ Upon finding herself in a fountain, Caster feels one of two ways: relieved to not actually be eaten by some big, stupid-looking whale and to be in civilization again, and disappointed because damn, she's not at the beach anymore! She's so mad, her soaking wet ears are shaking as they pin down by her head. ]

This sucks! I was promised a glorious beach day! [ She wasn't, but when things were just starting to look up from the bizarre sand castle thing, she feels she has every right to be annoyed! But as it is, she'll just sniffle, pick herself up, get out of the fountain, and start wringing the water out of her clothes. Odd that she's suddenly wearing her typical kimono instead of that silly swimsuit, but today's just been a weird day in general. She makes for quite the pitiful sight, actually, with her ears drooping as she's squeezing water out of her tail. ]

Tamamo just wanted to enjoy the beach...

[ Overhearing this, Inaba raises a brow; half out of curiosity and half out of exasperation because while she feels ridiculously sorry for the other girl - and are those fox ears? she kind of wants to touch them - she can't help but place her hand on her hip, sighing. ]

Well, that's just how this place is. Ruins any type of "vacation spot" that you might think of.

yes, she's shrieking... again. going from the desert sand to the beach sand pleases her for a moment, but it only lasts until she realizes what she's wearing (or not wearing, practically). it's not that she's super self-conscious, but this swimsuit is completely, unacceptably tiny.

...which may be why she immediately drops to her knees, curls up into a ball, and starts frantically digging a hole in the sand. what the hell is she doing? it's a valid question.

maybe you should ask? or at least offer her a towel. good god. ]

[ having barely escaped the crumbling castle with her life (though not much of her dignity, alas), she sneezes out sand a few times in between attempts to shake more of it out of her pigtails. there's some in her mouth, too, so she spits it out like the true lady she is.

with the taste of sand and salty water still in her mouth, a smoothie sounds absolutely perfect. she runs over to the menu, mouth already open to order the first delicious-sounding thing she sees, but... wait, does that say "nail polish?" what in the world is cocaine?

then she sees her name. "Lemon Lissa-de." hot tea, milk, and... ]

—"Pretentiousness?" Hey, I'm not pretentious!

[ other than that, it actually sounds kinda good. but she balks at the price. ]

What if I don't have a favorite poem!?

1. [How can things go from marginally bad to incredibly worse within the span of two seconds? This is a nightmare, surely. It's just an overly elaborate dream! For starters, Franziska's outfit is not only embarrassing it also makes her feel uncomfortable. The wind is so cold and there's nothing she can do about it for now. Not yet anyways. She's angered by her sudden change of environment. While Franziska doesn't necessarily have any insecurities about her looks she can't stand being like this. Someone has to take responsibility for it!]

The outfit I'm wearing is so poorly designed it's almost a joke. Only a fool would wear such foolish clothes in a foolish place created by fools.

[You may catch her having a temper tantrum. Best not to get near her when she's in this state. The sound of her whip hitting a blunt object keeps repeating itself. Eventually she just runs out of steam and holds her hands together in a fist. ]

It's only been ten minutes and I have sand in my beautiful hair. How irritating.

[Everything's so wet. She didn't sign up for the beach, that's for sure. Nothing really catches Franziska's attention, that is until she notices the blackboard with names scribbled on it. Some of them sound familiar and then there's hers. ]

"Fruit-ziska?" Who on earth came up with these names? Ridiculous, it's ridiculous. I repeated myself because I felt like it. No words can describe how I'm feeling right now.

[ athena is trying to enjoy the beach event as much as possible despite how little she's wearing, but she jumps when she's questioned all of a sudden. ]

[ If anything, there are definitely more than two options here, depending on the swimsuit you're suffering with. You can scream for sure, but that draws even more attention to yourself. You can strut... but that takes a lot of confidence.



Or you can try and blend into the sandcastle wall and pray for death to come faster-- Well, not quite, but this certainly wasn't what he'd expected after remembering being in a desert last. Now, there's sand everywhere and his armor is gone, instead is the ridiculous butler style "swimwear" in its place. In fact, if you happen to glance over he might be using the inflatable they've been provided with as a piece of cover and he... seems to be refusing to move from the wall itself, instead looking around for a place to make an exit. ]

If it's made of sand that means it isn't impregnable, but... [ He's talking to himself, yes, but if you want you can always chip in with ideas. ] ...if we start with the base the whole thing will fall down.

[ And he kind of doesn't want to move his hands away in a room full of strangers... what a dilemma. ]

( phase ii: i've made my mistakes )

[ Well, okay. Maybe he does sometimes hit at things like a hammer to a nail instead of being more cautious, but they were never going to get out of here had they not done anything. When the walls begin to crumble though, he finally seems to forget about covering up and is ushering people out of the hole that has been made in one side of the castle. ]

Quickly! We don't have the time to stand around!

[ It's a loud yell, so hopefully even if you're on the other side you can hear it.

Hopefully. ]

( phase iii: got no where to run )

[ At least this time there is some kind of drink, though not many of the above sound appetising in the slightest. Honestly, some of them sound as though they're a weird ritual that blood mages might get up to. It makes him pause, though he really has no idea how to stand anymore without it being overly awkward.

He doesn't even know where to begin, but there might be so hope in unraveling information out of the smoothie shack's bartender. ]

None of these make any sense. [ Maybe that isn't the best way to start......... but at least it's to the point? ] Are you just here to just present us with riddles or can you offer anything actually useful?

( phase iv: the night goes on as i'm fading away )

[ If he had known he wouldn't have ventured into the water. It had been the idea to use it to just take a moment to cool off, but also to take shelter where maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't feel so weird to stand without many clothes. That plan fails horribly when he's pulled up into the plastic ball with someone else, flinching away when whoever it the unfortunate person who is stuck with him for this.

He doesn't panic but he clearly tries to offer more room between the two of them. ]

What is this even supposed to accomplish? [ God his head is pounding at this rate. ]

[Kaguya makes a pained noise as they're forced in the ball-- she can't keep her balance when she's so caught off guard like this and she topples over almost immediately.

Would it be better to be caught in this weird situation in weird clothes with a complete stranger, or someone who would know, to some degree, that this state of dress (or undress) is as uncomfortable for her as it surely is for him?

Probably best to not dwell on any of that, honestly.] Lord Rutherford. [She says it in way of greeting, first and foremost, and then looks off at the water they're bobbing in.] Perhaps it is just for the amusement of whoever is in charge...?

PHASE I:

[The last thing he remembers is getting some sleep after that one fateful encounter with his brother. He can't remember the last time he slept so well, actually. But upon waking he's...wherever this is (he's still trying to parse that little tidbit). At least it's...a castle. A sand castle. Okay. Castles were familiar to him. He'd seen tons of castles in his day, full of people!]

[But never with such weird...clothes...]

[That's when the sensation of too much wind registers. When he sees the fact that's essentially in a black speedo...well, he just...sighs in total exasperation. First his world, then his clothes??]

Are you serious...?! Who the hell stole my clothes?! And my boxers?! And put me in this weird thing?!

[At least he's not shy. After all, everyone else is stuck in the same boat as him, right? But he does stand out, considering the enormous, jagged scar going across his back from the back of his neck to his left hip. With that, he's looking around. Paying extra close attention to not stare at anyone or anything too long. In fact, he's probably making uncomfortable, unblinking eye contact out of blatant fear of offending anyone.]

[He may also look a little constipated. But he's not. It's something else entirely.]

Soooo...I can't be the only one confused right now, right?! Please tell me you know what's going on...I've heard of being debriefed after a stressful situation but this is a little...erm...extreme...

Phase II:

Oh come on...! What is with this place?!

[Well, he definitely didn't do it. Or maybe he did. He's still not completely with it. All he knows is this sand castle is coming down and he's not about to be buried in a goddamn speedo. He rushes for that bridge...that very rickety, imposing bridge, and sprints across it. He skids to a stop on the other side and plants his feet. ( the outfit of choice doesn't bother her at all, she's use to showing her body to the people around her. this is just only the start of a tyrant, maybe she should cover herself up but ha! that's a joke! now, she's positioned by the smoothie shack that has gained the attention of many people around her. there's various names listed on the chalkboard and there's a few that she recognizes. karna, tamamo and some others that she's met before. it's rather odd of how everyone seems to have a drink titled after many of them but as she runs a finger down the board, messing up names other than her own; she's shocked to find her own listed.

( how troublesome, who knew that coming out so far in the ocean would place her in a bubble with someone else. it's not that being with someone is bad, she actually doesn't mind it. not even the fact that it could limit their breathing stresses her. the only thing she dislikes is the fact that they're trapped inside of it when she has better things to be doing, like getting a tan or relaxing her beautiful body. with a hand extended out to place against the plastic of the "safe haven" they're inside of, she's sure that she could pop it with her nails if she tried. )

Of all things! I thought this was a place of rest and relaxation for a moment, it seems that I have let my guard down. Hm, no worries. ( looking down at the water that they float on, there's a giant eye that looks up at them which is rather ominous. the servant frowns as she waits for what may come next, not being able to distinguish the beast because it hides inside of the darkness. what follows next is saber figuring how to go about this — to free them — she believes there's only one thing she can do. flicking her wrist a bit as a small flame appears that begins to extend and manifest into a red blade with crooked ends in a matter of moments (it also stays aflame inside of the bubble which may be dangerous), she points it down at the bottom of the ball. )

I'll handle this! When I get us out of here, I demand your hands to massage my back! That is what many people come to beaches for, correct! ( or maybe not! the whale decides to squirt water from it's spout which sends the bubble into the air and now they're shifting up and down on a fountain of sorts in mid-air. perhaps this is a saving grace from being eaten? )

( is that singing that she hears? it reminds her of the time when she'd go on stage and sing to her many people. she finds that the voice is enticing, but it'll probably entrance another but herself since she finds that the melody could be just a little better. after searching for where the tune had been coming from, the weird creature she finds at the end seems to have some qualms with nero not being tricked by her voice. in any case, she states that she finds the song to be good, wonderful exactly but it could be better if nero joined in. )

( and she does. which could cause a positive or negative effect. with her voice and how unbearable it is, it could be one of the reasons why someone has been pulled out their hypnosis. trapped at the sight of watching both this creature and nero sing to their hearts contents. if someone isn't smart, they may believe that it's nero who holds this siren voice because of the song that they're both singing at the same time. although, one is just horrible and makes a person want to cover their ears while the other is still entrancing but the terrible voice cancels that out.

thanks nero! though, the creature is upset with this and what it decides to do next is chuck a coconut at nero's direction but luckily for her — it managed to miss and crash right into the face of the (un)lucky passerby swindled by the evil's siren's voice. both saber and the unknown creature's voices stop around the same time and the monster quickly rushes back into the water but for nero, she is rather upset. )

[ The outfit is one thing. Izuku's as red as the suit even though he's certainly the definition of beach ready (for a fifteen year old), but although he's mostly been trying not to stare at anyone's unmentionables and not pass out from all the blood going to his face for this long, the earthquake makes all of that fade away with a snap.

This? This he can do.

A hero's job isn't to rescue himself and leave innocent people behind. With the castle crumbling, Izuku's doing the only thing he can do: clear more space for people to escape instead of navigating through crumbling doorways. It's obvious to him pretty quickly they need more space to get people out of here in time. And even five percent of All Might's power is enough to handle some sand. He concentrates, draws the power he can safely command through his body, and draws back from people for a running start so he can leap high enough to clear anyone's head before he swings. The air pressure wouldn't be enough to beat a bad guy, but it can certainly knock a crack hole in a sand castle wall. He lands with a grunt, rubbing his elbow. Maybe a little too much power in that one. ]

[ When the options are 'hang around the smoothie bar with its weird smoothies named after people', 'find new places for sand to work its way into' and 'actually go into the ocean blue', that's basically a single option, in Izuku's opinion, so he's not actually upset about being in this... bubble thing. Not knowing his company, though, that makes him a little nervous. He's not a huge kid, solidly average height and all, and he makes himself smaller by instinct, really hoping he hasn't ended up with someone like Kacchan in a tiny enclosed space like this. ]

[ Freedom is sweet. Sweet, and... wet. Great. The pond in the park isn't a great place to wind up, but at least the bag he packed for camping is waterproof.

But she is unhappy with the disappearance of her clothing — Ruby made those for her so where the heck did they go and how can she get them back —

The swimsuit is not a suitable replacement for them in the slightest, and she's already put an outfit made of leaves overtop of the bathing suit, because she feels plenty more comfortable like this. It didn't take her long to make, either.

Hooowever, the lack of her belongings means a lack of Pokeballs. And by extension, the Pokemon in them. And her Pokedex. And everything else she had??? What the heck is this.

So you better believe you'll hear her shouting at people, and probably you as well. ]

Regardless, once he hears the rumbling, he has a bad feeling...]

[He starts to run, grabbing the arm of the nearest person to drag them along. Hopefully they'll understand his urgency, but he does look awfully skeevy in that swimsuit. Maybe he's just a random pervert.]

[Somehow Raven escaped the collapsing sandcastle mishap, but he's getting pretty thirsty from the heat and all the running around. So he heads straight over to the shack, doing a once over of the choices, and the creative pricing ranges involved.]

Dontcha have anything normal ta drink? Maybe somethin' that doesn't involve sacrificing virgins or orphan souls? My taste ain't that pricey.

Sure, the outfit may be a bit strange, but that is nothing to worry about.

Besides, the moment she realizes what she is wearing, she comes to the startling conclusion that others must be wearing the same. That, coupled with the beautiful beach and soothing breeze gives her ample reason to not concern herself with frivolous things like modesty. )

Oh, gosh. Oh gosh! Now this is the kind of sunshine and sand I like. This is, like, a huge, massive improvement over some desert. And even better than all that...

The look on her face is some combination of emotions rare for her: a bit of shock, a bit of disgust, a bit of misery. )

[ This is also ridiculous, but not unexpected. Hasn't he already found himself in a sand ditch once before? He's really starting to think that the whole lost and dying alone in the desert thing is preferable. They didn't cover this level of humiliation in the presentation...

There's no time to be modest! He's got to run and hope that he doesn't side ball out of his swimsuit. (Yes, that is totally a thing. Why do you think he prefers to wear trunks?) If he sees you while he's running, at least he can put his embarrassment aside for the greater good of not being crushed in a pile of sand. ]

[ And if you didn't meet during the grand escape, you'll at least see a pretty impressive sight of him almost literally flying out as the castle crashes down behind him. It doesn't look entirely intentional, though, and he most definitely lands face down and ass up into the softer sand of the beach.

Phase 3

[ Once he's upright, Yosuke can finally enjoy the beach. Right? Right! It takes him a minute to get the sand out of his hair and, uh, places (which he tries to do with some level of modesty), but the view is definitely a good one. And the coastline isn't bad either. (Ha, see what we did there?) At least the women here are wearing similar things, so...fair's fair, right?

There's a lot to take in, he's got to reflect on the presentation, what happened prior. What exactly are the implications of this? It's a little over the top, scifi for him, but...no embarrassment of his level can be made up. Only his luck is that shitty. But he definitely deserves a drink after this.

So he makes his way to the smoothie shack, still feeling self-conscious but more exhausted than anything else. He rolls up to the counter with a sigh, and just let his head fall on it. ]

[ There's only so much time for wallowing, though. At some point he pulls himself up and looks at the menu, but...

[ Don't even ask why he thought it would be a good idea to go out into the water. Maybe because it's the beach, and that's what you're supposed to do. Maybe because the water seems like it would offer some sense of cover if he goes out into it. Regardless, this is decidedly not how he wanted it to go, but he's quickly realizing that it doesn't matter what he wants. This place is designed to screw you over.

Now it's time to get really close and personal. Mostly naked. Again. Hopefully you're a cute girl. ]

[ Shu's too busy to notice any eyes on him as he looks down and around. The pink, green, and blue highlights are still in his blonde hair and tail, which is good. It almost coordinates perfectly with his new extremely revealing bathing suit and the weird floaties. With a sniff and an exaggerated sigh, Shu's voice carries the most amusing and gentle of tones as he looks at the closest person and shrugs. ]

You know, if my label ever saw me like this, they'd probably either fire me or they'd try to milk this for all its worth.

[ Oh well. At least he can enjoy himself for a moment, twirling in place. ]

Do I look good? Or at least, do you think I look better than you do?

[ And now he smirks, hoping to get some sort of reaction. His tail sways side to side, brushing against the sand. ]


II.

[ Shu didn't realize that the castle was collapsing in time, nor did he clear the bridge--- years spent running, staying healthy because of intense practices and performances, even seeing the doctor on a monthly basis--- meant nothing. And as the sand filled his lungs and the world faded into black, he thought about one person. A drummer. The first one he ever truly worked with and cared for and then...

... he's sitting on the beach, still in unflattering beachwear like nothing happened. Noticing someone else nearby, hopefully someone who may have also experienced the same thing, he tugs at their flotation device with a grimace. ]

... did you just die, too?

[ Clearly, Shu has never done that before. ]


III.

Never thought drawing a star would be difficult.

[ He's pointing out that his name on the board isn't Shu☆Zo, but Shu??????????Zo. How does one actually pronounce that? Is it in the inflection or perhaps the question marks are actually said? That'd turn his name into something long and memorable, all right, and nothing positive to him. ]

Not sure if those ingredients would make a delicious smoothie, but... if you could buy one and tell me what it's like, then I'd be grateful.

[ One who drinks THIS special combination would find themselves with similar highlights, possibly fluffy ears and/or a tail, or possibly watching a memory of him performing on stage in front of thousands singing to a crowd, holding a giant golden mechanical clock-shaped guitar. ]


IV.

[ As he sits in the fountain, Shu kind of wishes he was still in that bathing suit. Being stuck in these clothes while soaking wet didn't bode well for his future, especially if he got sick? Oh well. Better than nothing. Clearly, he's not on the beach anymore and finally back into civilization... the place almost reminds him of MIDI City, save for the number of robots and foreign looking people passing him by--- like this was something that happened often.

But he suddenly forgets all of the bad things as he climbs out of the fountain and picks up his instrument. Its weight is comforting as he brushes his fingertips over the strings. Pulling it over his head, the strap light and barely tugging at his shoulder, he strums a chord or two.

Shu smiles. Slightly off-tune, but that's easily fixed. He probably looks insane, but for the first time in what feels like days, everything seems just right. ]

[The advantages of having a bushy tail is that even if his honor is at stake, he will never be as naked as everyone else is with their outfits. It was an odd outfit in its own right, and he doesn't understand the point of revealing your butt to the world (he's shameless, but he thinks that this level is closer to a dark mage's than his), but it could be worse. At least he can easily cover it up with his tail and pretend he was just walking in his underwear.

Not really as bad as the guys struggling to hide their shame that's out in the world.

Still, the drinks on the board were very curious, and heck-- no one had honor left here, so he feels a bit miffed when his own branded drink requested that, but it certainly looked interesting. It's enough to have him sniff around for people to bug, smiling brightly as he tries not to wag his tail.]

Hey, hey~ Can you do me a favor? It's not a hard, I promise! I just want someone to order a Kale-den.

Kaden pouts as he punches the surface of the ball, testing its malleability. When it ends up rolling instead, he lets out a long 'whoooaaaa' and tumbles inside, losing his footing and ending on his ass. Now, unless you're under that ball, that might not seem so bad. Or under him. That might be awkward.]

[Is it just him or does it feel too stuffy in here? Not that he wanted to go in, but he kind of just got roped into it. He doesn't seem too bothered, just baffled at the device as he tries to figure out his footing.]

Felicia hadn't expected to end up in this strange place when she followed Corrin down that drop for a second time, and she certainly hadn't expected to find her clothes utterly destroyed. In place of her usual layers and skirts was a very slim and flimsy piece of fabric that barely covered her chest and her unmentionables. Frankly, undergarments provided more coverage, and Felicia was absolutely mortified to be out in the world wearing so little.]

It's okay, Felicia. No one's here, so we can solve this problem. No one's here....it'll be fine!

[She was murmuring to herself, cheeks a brilliant red as she searched the sandy landscape for something that could help her maintain some semblence of decency.

[Felicia was staring at the chalkboard menu in bemusement, intrigued by the familiar names and the interesting ingredients that were listed alongside the drinks. While she had no idea what a smoothie was, she was certain that anything combining tomatoes and crispy lettuces was sure to get not only her own approval, but that of the fastidious Prince Leo. With her long hair unbound and a palm frond in hand to help preserve some of her modesty, she was feeling much more comfortable in the shade of this peculiar establishment.

...Now, the biggest question was how to pay for all of this.]

[Spoilers, it was Undyne's fault. Undyne definitely helped break the castle. In fact, witnesses may recall seeing a tall fish lady searching for an exit for all of five seconds before she got frustrated, screamed "NGAAAAAAAAH!, and promptly punched one of the walls into sandy oblivion. She looks proud for about half a second before the castle starts rumbling ominously.]

...oh crap! Run!

[Being a HEROINE OF JUSTICE though, she can't just flee while innocent people are in danger thanks to some mysterious foul villain and not her at all!! So she'll be dragging stragglers to their feet and helping them across the bridge, either by a) princess carrying them across like a shoujo protag or b) grabbing them by the head or the feet and hurling them across the gap like a goddamn missile. She may do this even if you aren't struggling to get across just because YOU'RE TAKING TOO LONG SLOWPOKE!! Have fun....]

PHASE III;

Oh cool, they have a drink named after me! [Undyne looks pretty pleased about this! What a nice thing to do. She will suffer those six seconds of discomfort because she's not a weenie and then turn the person next to her.]

Hey, what's Viagra, by the way? Is it something badass? It better be if they're putting it into my drink!

PHASE IV;

[Sorry to whoever got stuck with her in here, because Undyne is pretty damn tall and takes up a lot of space. Not to mention loud. There's definitely some shounen yelling going on here.]

UGGGGGH! What the hell is this?! I know how to swim, I don't need some hand-holding babysitting floating bubble bullsh-- [If you're a kid, she'll cut herself off here. (If you're not, she'll finish the curse.)] Uh, I mean...bullspit!

[She turns back to the person stuck with her and crosses her arms.]

Okay! Way I see it, we got two options here. Option one, we break the freaking thing! [She points at her gills.] I don't have to worry about drowning, so you can just sit on my back and I'll carry you back to shore, it'll be fine.

Or option two - we keep the ball intact, find a giant cannon, and launch ourselves out of it like majestic heroes.

Actually, it sounds like she's having an angry argument with the other mermaids while they're trying to drown her to no avail. Not quickly, though. Move too quickly and this suit isn't going to do anything but fall off and, while Temari isn't overly modest, she's not too keen on accidentally naked. Though, judging by what might be happening with the sand, she might be able to conjure up a sand cover-up, sand in unmentionable places be damned.

Which is why she's staring at the wall, hands on hips, and muttering:] So how does this work?

PHASE III
[You know what? Despite an entire castle of sand falling on her earlier, this isn't so bad. It's gorgeous, it's a nice break from, you know, war, and the sun is warm. She's not wearing enough to mess with a tan, so why not?

Here's Temari laying out on a towel she found somewhere. When a shadow passes over her, she speaks without opening her eyes.] You're blocking my sun.

BONUS
[What lovely music. Before Temari makes the conscious decision, she's on her feet, all thoughts of sunbathing driven out of her mind. In fact, most thought is driven right out of her mind as she simply follows the melody.

Across the sand, lithely weaving around people who might be in her way. Into the water, waves lapping at her ankles, her knees... and that's when she balks, worrying her lip between her teeth.]

Not good. Not good. [But she takes another step forward.

[She lands in the pond.

Why not? At least she's not wearing that thing anymore, which... well. If she was going to get soaking wet, it would have at least come in handy this time. She flounders, completely unprepared for a very wet faceplant and finally comes up for breath in waist-deep water.

All right. Whatever that break was, she's done. Completely, absolutely done. She storms out of the water.] The hell was that about?

[He can't do a whole lot to stop the castle from falling apart, but he can at least help evacuate. Even if that's mostly holding people beneath him as he tries to block the sand from falling on them.

But with the drawbridge falling apart, his legs convert to grasshopper legs as he prepares to jump.]

Phase IVa
[It's likely a hilarious story how Eiji ended up in the water and stuck in one of those balls, but he is now face-planted in it, still transformed, and you are on top of him.]

Uh, I know there's not a lot of room here, but can you move your knee? Please?

Phase IVb
[Eiji wakes up in a fountain with the water pouring down on him. It takes him a minute to recover from the shock (and realize that he's wearing actual pants underneath his suit) before he cancels his transformation and sits up.]

Where...wait, no. This is the colony, right?

[He starts to get up and staggers and falls right back down again. It's starting to occur to him that he's still injured from Inugami, he hasn't eaten, and he was transformed for quite a while.]

I think I might need to rest.

[Eiji wasn't alone, though Jinga managed to come out of this drier but with a definite excessive amount of sand all over his black clothing. He also wasn't doing anything about getting rid of it. Instead he held a sheathed long sword pointed at Eiji, his face set in a rather curious mix of annoyance and resignation even as the armor was dispelled and Eiji tries to get up before flopping back down.]

What kind of Knight are you?

[Because most Knight armors tended towards one or two colors and they certainly did not have a belt like that. He just couldn't take the chances, not with the fragile truce he had just made with Ryuuga.]

[ He really doesn't get it. First off, why is he back in this place? And second, do they really expect him to be embarrassed by something that kind of resembles a fundoshi with a leash? Okay, so the leash with a bow on it is a little embarrassing, but that's easily solved by twisting it around the band at the waist and sort of tying it into itself. It's not that bad, and if sumo wrestlers can run around in this on a regular basis, so can he! But because he's not entirely comfortable like this, his usual ponytail is promptly untied, leaving his hair to hang loose, the longest layers able to provide some sort of coverage or obscure at the very least. He'll just complain later when he has to brush sand out of his hair!

Third, why is he surrounded by sand? And there's no exit that he can see?! ...not that he tries awfully hard to search. Alright, being inside a sandcastle is kind of creepy, so he's just going to try and dig his way out through a wall, flinging the sand behind him in the proce-- oh shit, look out! ]

Ah... sorry! [ Anyone nearby will get a hasty apology complete with flailing and a frantic explanation that trails off into mumbling. ] I was just trying to--! That is, I couldn't find the exit, so... I really wasn't trying to hit you, you were just in the-- It just... kinda... happened...

[ Escaping the sandcastle wasn't that difficult, really. Realizing that the sound he's following is intended to draw him out into the water, though? That's a little harder. There's other people around who are wading out toward it too, so clearly it's not a bad thing!

Wasn't there something about mermaids? Where are they anyway? They're supposed to be populating the beach, but it's not like he can see any! Maybe he should've paid more attention to the crazy guy at the smoothie stand, but all of the drinks seemed a little weird (couldn't they have normal sake here) so he hadn't gone for any and had just wandered off. Right into the water because the song caught his attention.

Actually, the only problem he's finding is that he's short and it doesn't take long before being able to touch the bottom is getting a little difficult... but he wants to find where that sound is coming from. ]

Sputtering (and getting sand in his mouth in the process), he backs up to the opposite wall and tries to save himself from this sand hell, thanks for nothing, Heisuke!

Needless to say, when he recovers, he goes for a headlock because justice calls for a noogie.]
