[Johnny wasn't terribly trusting, even at the best of times, but Veronica had given him more than he deserved in terms of trust and assistance, so he didn't feel too sore about telling her, at least a little bit, about what he'd learned from Gyro.]

Oh, it's like... it's this technique I've been learning from a friend.

[It's been a while since he could use that word, friend, and Gyro has more than proven himself that on a number of occasions. He probably wouldn't condone talking about his secret family technique with a pretty face, but Johnny wasn't planning to talk details.]

It's all about rotation and energy and a lotta stuff I don't really get, but it's pretty useful.

[He holds up his pointer finger and sets the nail to spinning, trying to balance himself and still keep it where she can see. It's an odd sensation, the spin has, but not painful.]

Kinda like how a top spins, you know? You just sorta... I guess transfer that energy into other things.

[Gyro'd even used it on his horse, to wind the muscles. Probably the sorta thing that would do real damage if he didn't know what he was doing. But spinning a bubble like this? That was probably more Johnny's speed.]
