[SO HERE THEY ARE. Chizuru has discovered the joy that is having someone other than Hijikata obey her every whim, and like the devoted sister that the Temperance card is influencing her to be she is, she's decided that she wants to share this wonderful bounty with her dearly beloved brother.

So she beckons Shirasu along with a "Please, follow me," because she hasn't quite yet descended into rude shitheadedness, and off they go to find Kaoru!

Once they get there, she'll knock on the door and call out to him.]

Kaoru-san? It's Chizuru. I have a surprise for you!

[CONSIDERING ALL THE WEIRD SHIT THAT'S GOING ON THIS CAN ONLY END WELL. By well I mean horribly.]

[ This is all news to him. But that is perfectly fine. He drops to one knee before Kaoru, and just nods. ]

[WELL WHO'S KAORU TO TURN AWAY A FREE NINJA except that's exactly what happens first, because he has no idea what's actually happening here and is too cautious to accept something like this freely. One hand is held up, and Kaoru's brow furrows.]

There's no need to kneel, Fuuma-san... Or to clean my apartment.

[Other people tOUCHING HIS THINGS no thanks... He remains standing in the doorway, but at least opens it up a little. Nothing seems out of place from the foyer alone... Kaoru's apartment is pretty much as sparse and starkly clean as Shirasu's with the exception of a HoloGM pack painting the interior similarly to his old house (because Kaoru, unlike some people, cares about not looking like a serial killer without any decorations!!)

His eyes are fixed on Chizuru more than Shirasu though, despite the fact that Shirasu is CLEARLY THE ONE who needs the most help here?!]

He is the surprise.

[Chizuru gestures at Shirasu... SURPRISE, Kaoru, you get a person. But that is, perhaps, not the most informative answer she could give, because after a moment's pause she realizes that she needs to elaborate on that. And so she does.]

Shirasu-san is being very accommodating today... He's proven himself to be incredibly useful. I thought that if there was anything you needed done, he could help you.

[And as if the "whatever you wish" wasn't proof enough - ]

He does anything that he is commanded to do.

[ Shirasu really needs an adult. Unfortunately, many of the sane people are locked up in his apartment because Chizuru told him to do that.

When Kaoru tells him to rise, he does so, and refrains from immediately starting to clean because Kaoru said he didn't have to, and Chizuru didn't explicitly order him to.

And, apparently, Chizuru is giving his services to Kaoru, which means Kaoru is the new master. Or something. It makes perfect sense to him, and he doesn't question either of them. ]

Please use me as you see fit, Nagumo-sama.

[A PERSON... A PERSON?? That's a new gift. Kaoru glances dubiously at Shirasu, but that's basically what's needed to get him to finally step aside and hold the door open.]

Please come inside, both of you.

[Because this is now officially a sketchy situation that Kaoru would rather not air to the public, wow.

Either way, once they're all tucked into the relative privacy of the hall (because Kaoru still has yet to lead them into the main area), he'll look between them again.]

Now what is this all about? Thank you for considering me, Chizuru - and for the offer, Fuuma-san, but... [But what is he supposed to do... with a ninja.....]

[IN THEY GO. After all, they wouldn't want Kaoru's reputation to be damaged. No one can know he's engaging in human trafficking... Or rather, that his sister is and thinks he would want to get in on it.]

What is this about..?

[Chizuru looks a little confused by the question, which is probably a pretty good indication that something is wrong here. She furrows her brow and tilts her head to the side.]

I wanted to do something nice for you... did you not need me to?

[Her expression falls a little and she ducks her head.]

I'm sorry...

[ It's not as though he doesn't know Chizuru is still there, but since Kaoru's the one giving orders... she no longer matters. He's polite enough to stand quietly in the foyer, just waiting for instruction. ]

[WELL... GOD, what a pickle. On one hand, Kaoru's still thinking clearly enough to realize that this is a situation that will one day become Awkward. On the other, he never thinks 100% clearly when it comes to Chizuru, so the fact that she's just toting a person around like a satchel and handing him off like one really does take a backseat to the fact that Chizuru got him something. A... person BUT STILL.]

You don't need to apologize. You thought of me; that's more than enough.

[Which is the biggest fattest lie told to Chizuru's face in Cerealia to date, but Kaoru is genuinely grateful (kind of) beneath the crazy (but it's just more crazy so does is there really a huge difference??) for the thought. It's not good enough!! But it's a step in the right direction!

That said, glancing back to Shirasu...] But Fuuma-san truly isn't adverse to helping? I suppose I could use a little... [There's some mild hesitation now but once the order ball gets rolling, it sure won't stop, wow.]

[Liar liar pants on fire... good thing Kaoru is a pretty princess who doesn't wear pants here. He'll avoid getting burned that way.]

I'm always thinking of you, Kaoru-san.

[It's not necessarily a lie. Right at this moment, her thoughts are basically full of him... until she sees someone else she has an obsession with. The thing about Kaoru, though, is that they look so similar that when she sees her own face she thinks of him, and then the obsession wraps right back around again if she ever happens to catch sight of her own reflection. #twinproblems

She glances at Shirasu as Kaoru does, and then nods.]

He didn't have any problems doing the things I asked of him, so I doubt he will have any problems doing as you say...

[ Shirasu looks up calmly, and kneels again, because that's what ninja do. ]

I am yours to command, Nagumo-sama. Being of service is my only desire.

[ He's done everything from speak in a weird accent to carry around a little girl, to accept a wedgie from a man in a blue and red body suit to tell a total stranger all his clan secrets to kidnap people... all on the orders of other people today. There really isn't anything he won't do. ]

[Ah yes, the age-old adage that he clearly has beaten...

Shirasu just gets a brief look again because Kaoru's too busy being a freak that latches on to "I'M ALWAYS THINKING OF YOU". If only... she'd say things like that without being affected by weird cards... Kaoru's fondest wish.]

Then I'll thank you for your consideration. [A smile! This one's kinda genuine, even!!

But then, back to Shirasu--] If Fuuma-san would be so kind as to loan timely aid, there are many preparations that I have to finish. I'll make you a list.

[Bossing people around just comes naturally... BUT OFF HE GOES to fetch some paper and a pencil, which is presumably invitation for them both to come in. The interior is pretty sparse, decorated familiarly with a HoloGM pack and no actual personal trinkets. There is, however, a sprawling mess of Things that Kaoru is apparently getting ready to use, including a couple of dangerous plants and a cage that contains a couple of realistic-looking snake cybuddies. Good work, captain.]

[That is a wish that will never come true, alas...

Right now, though, she is being affected by weird cards, so she just returns his smile with a fond smile of her own and watches as he addresses Shirasu. There is a strange sort of feeling in the pit of her stomach as she watches them interact that she has trouble identifying. On the one hand, she's glad that if Kaoru has help with the things he's doing, it will be easier for him. On the other hand, she's sort of irritated that Shirasu is helping him instead of her helping him. And on the other, because apparently she's a freak with three hands, she was the one who gave Shirasu to him so isn't she really the one helping him out?

...the yandere life is a struggle.

While they wait for Kaoru to get that paper, Chizuru follows him in and looks around, her gaze resting on those things he has gathered for his pranks. She leans over to get a better look and peers at the cage.]
