[closed] Let's take a break...
Who: Ankh
notsogreedy and Eiji
powertotearer
When: IC: 7/10
Where: Their apartment
What: Life has been hectic lately for them; time to chill at home with a giant pile of popsicles
Rating/Warning: To be updated if there's anything worth mentioning
[They've had a couple days to settle in by now. The apartment isn't big--actually most people would probably call it tiny for two people--but considering the spaces they've gotten used to sharing, it's more than adequate. And for today, at least, Ankh has no intention of leaving it. Since he arrived here, he's been restless, feeling like he didn't know enough about this place to feel the slightest bit comfortable. After the pizza party yesterday, though, he has more information than he even knows what to do with... and maybe between all that and all the stuff that happened just before he and Eiji got there, everything is finally just starting to catch up with him.
The freezer has been stocked with ice pops, and the refrigerator with enough other food to last at least a few days. Neither of them have any reason to go anywhere. Ankh has managed to set up a sleeping space for himself not unlike what he had back in the attic of Cous Coussier, and for the moment, he is flopped up there doing absolutely nothing. Unless idly keeping an eye on Eiji in case he decides to feel the need to leave and go do something stupid counts.]

I don't always hurt myself.
[Yes, you do.]
no subject
Right. Just most of the time.
no subject
You make it sound like I can't walk out the door without getting hurt.
[It is true, though.]
no subject
[Really, it's an exaggeration, but not by that much.]
no subject
[Oh yes, real mature, Eiji. Mock the bird for using the window.]
no subject
If you managed to hurt yourself walking through a door, that would be really pathetic.
no subject
That only happened once.
[It involved Hina and the kitchen door at Cous Coussier during a busy lunch rush. Not that he's going to say that out loud, of course.]
no subject
[He heard it, he just needs to tease him.]
no subject
[Because there's no super-strong girls to try to carry more meals than anyone really should carry, at least not in this apartment.]
no subject
[Honestly, he'd sort of like to know what the story behind that one was. Though he's not really surprised Eiji somehow got hurt going through a door. He nods toward Eiji's arm.]
I still think you're going to end up with another injury before that's completely healed, one way or another.
no subject
But of course, Ankh knows just how to push Eiji's buttons, and now he's all huffy.]
Oh yeah? And if I can?
no subject
[He says, as if he hadn't already had that thought a minute ago.]

no subject
How am I supposed to know? It's not like there's anything you want.
no subject
[No, Eiji. That's just mean.]
no subject
I'm not giving up the ice pops.
no subject
[Well, now that worked out. It gave Eiji some wiggle room if he couldn't stand folding another shirt and had to wait for that restaurant to open, and it meant Ankh would have to not get fired from wherever he was working again.]
no subject
[It's not a bad deal, really. He was planning on keeping that job with the birds, anyway.]
And if you lose?
no subject
Name it.
no subject
[It's a surprisingly hard question, considering he already got what he was going for out of this, namely motivating Eiji to not hurt himself so much. Granted it's still likely he will anyway, so Ankh may as well get something out of it. He's just not sure what right now.]
I'll figure it out later.
[If Eiji will accept that. It's worth a try.]
no subject
[And of course Eiji accepts it, because that's how he is. He thinks he's winning this one anyway, since as far as he's concerned, he doesn't really want anything out of it anyway, so it's no big deal if he loses.
Give him a week to realize that the whole point is to help bring him out of his mood and that it means Ankh actually wins no matter what, and then he'll be sulking for another week.]
no subject
Sadly, they've run out of things to talk about again. But that's fine. They're both capable of appreciating silence... for a while.]
