I— No. Goodness, that is not how that works!

[ Why are so many people around him so bad at cooking? Sebastian really has to wonder this, but at the same time, it's something he'll have to meditate on later thanks to the sad state of the microwave. He opens up the door and tosses on the wet towel (since I forgot to mention that detail, whoops), trying to smother the flame. ]

Please at least soak those before throwing them in, lest the fire get worse...

[ for a second, tsurumaru looks really tempted to just chuck a dry towel in there... but for once, he's going to make the more rational decision, heading over to the sink to carefully run his set of towels beneath the tap, wringing them out just enough to dampen them.

but instead of throwing them in as sebastian had, he's... clutching a wet towel in his hand, sticking his hand directly into the burning microwave in an attempt to pat down the fires himself. following directions and being safe is for chumps, anyway.

does it hurt? probably! so far, though, he looks just fine. ]

[ what the heck tsurumaru... Sebastian looks concerned as they work on putting out the fire, and yet, he doesn't actually pull Tsurumaru's hand away. Between his own tolerance for flame and Finny's tolerance for pain in general, he's not quite assuming that it's affecting Tsurumaru as it might a human. ]

My goodness, does that not hurt?

[ oh, sebastian's smart! which also means that tsurumaru's going to be a bit disappointed from not getting the reaction that he was looking for, reluctantly pulling his hand back out of the microwave and patting down the flames on his glove with a nearby damp towel. ]

I thought you'd be a little more surprised than that...

[ meanwhile, the microwave is still roasting into a crisp, but that's okay for now. regarding whether it hurts or not to just stick his hand directly into a fire, however — ]

Of course it does. I'll have to go to the repair room afterwards — scratches are fine and all, but burns kind of hurt if you leave them for too long, you know?
