[Well, in any case, this glitch is quickly identified to be an odd-looking teenaged girl - that is to say, Maya, and upon appearing, she pretty much just crumples to the ground]

[Except-- aside from pulling herself up to a sitting position, she doesn't seem to be making any efforts to get up or talk to anyone. In fact, she looks.... upset? Wow, is that even possible???]

[Well, you're minding your own business! Trying to get wherever you're going!! HARK, there is a small teenage girl, directly in your path.]

Okay, Maya, one foot after the other.... two feet after the other... three feet after.... wait, that doesn't make sense.

[She's coming towards you! If you don't move fast, she's going to crash directly into you, or topple over and take you down with her]

phase iii - speaking of watch your step;

[On that note, there's another option. You, once again, are trying to conduct your business, getting home, checking on your friends, trying to go somewhere, whatever. But down, on the ground, is said weirdo teenage girl, and she appears to be crawling very slowly... on her hands and knees, in some direction. Okay. That's all fine and weird, but every so often, she freezes up, her eyes widen, and then she reaches for whatever's closest (which is probably your ankle, but can be: bench, a cleaning robo, or... anything else, really) as if trying to put her hand through it.]

[Obviously, this does not work out for her, because these things are all solid objects]

[Aaaaand she's trailing off as she remembers the Nexus Code. Fading away, seeing all the faces of the people that had been here, her friends, the people she absolutely needed to save--- they were fading, and she couldn't do anything.]

[Also: who is this guy. She raises her head to look at him, but he doesn't look familiar to her]

[ and then the faint rustle of fabric as he crouches down to get a closer look at maya. he'd guess that maybe she's blind? but her eyes look fine, and being blind wouldn't explain why she's crawling around on the ground. still, it doesn't quite sit right with him to walk away from ... whatever this is.

Do you need any help? You seem to be having some sort of trouble.

[Well, now people have started giving him dirty looks and murmuring this and that. Ugh, if he doesn't want some chivalrous buffoon to step forward and tell him off for some perceived misdoing, he probably should help her up.

So he actually bothered to reach down and pick her up by the back of her clothes, shook her just a little to get the dirt off her, and set her on her feet. There. That should fix whatever's wrong. Clearly.]

[with the status effect she's under, she's easier than normal to topple over, so - yep, both of them sure are on the ground once maya slams into her. she takes a moment to collect herself, pressing a hand to her head to try and stop the vertigo as it comes flooding back in. distractedly, as she picks herself up:]

It's no trouble, Star, really. Are you alright?

[extending a hand down to maya once she's standing herself. if there's anything strange about what she just said, she doesn't seem to realize it.]

Phase III

[While en route to the apartment building to check up on more of the group, Phoenix looked down to investigate the hand suddenly on his ankle. Considering what he had been through earlier? He was a little spooked by something suddenly grabbing him.

But this wasn't any something!]

Maya?!

[It was Maya! As relieved as he was to see her alive and as Maya-ish as ever, he soon gives her a flat look.]

...Why? [That's the only word he can find to summarize this situation.]

[Maya's completely limp (and quiet aside from a small moan) while he does this, but sways a little when she's actually on her feet like she might fall over again.]

[she actually starts to bow, here, apparently taking him at his boast-- I mean his word, except she loses balance and knocks into him. Ow.]

[Anyway, as he's crouching down, her vision's returning to normal so she can actually see with her own eyes that he is in fact, a confirmed person. Incredible. She gives him a smile, because that will definitely reassure him.]

My code's a little messed up I think. [She has no idea how computers work] and I'm a little dizzy, [A "little dizzy", sure] so I just figured it'd be easier to crawl instead of falling. [And that's why she's crawling on the ground. Yeah.]

But it's okay-- I'm near the apartments, right?

......That's oddly specific, so I'm gonna guess you got nabbed too.

[aaaand down they go in a tangle of limbs. Maya's much slower to get up, and she only does it when she's got the hand extended. But she frowns in confused at the name]

....I think you mistook me for someone else...?

[she remembers this girl, but it was kind of in a flurry of Hunger Game nonsense, so maybe she just misremembered her name or something? Or she's calling her a movie star?]

[It is something. It's an assistant!! But while he's shocked, she doesn't seem to have heard him clearly. She, still on her hands and knees on the ground, pats at his leg this time, and frowns.]

...Is this a person?

[She seems genuinely confused about this]

[Phoenix just looks increasing baffled and tries calling out to her again.]

[After Athena told Edgeworth that Maya disappeared, he did not expect to see her materialize right in the middle of a bookstore. Sorry, instead of catching him at the comic shelves, he's in the thriller mystery novel aisle and he's so shocked that he actually jumps back and sees what - or rather, who - popped in on his shopping time.]

[He sets aside the book he had been looking at and extends a hand for her.] Are you all right?
