A past and nightmares that seem so unreal
Who:
tiarae (Usagi Tsukino) & OPEN
When: Event 30 - so, memory sharing and losses, also elemental effects.
Where: Apartments, then in general out and about
What: Usagi tries to deal with this memory sharing. And memory loss. In the process of being unsure what to make of this fox?
Rating/Warning: Possible death depending on the memory being potentially shared? Possible mentions of suicide in one or two memories depending.
Apartments:
[She doesn't feel any different. Sure, she's been a bit down, a bit conflicted considering recent events, with the sewers and all, but that doesn't mean that Usagi expects to suddenly be seeing things. Because that is her immediate wondering when she spots the fox, three-legged and missing some teeth as it glares, baring said teeth at her before scarpering.
Usagi trips as she hastens to attempt to follow it out of her room, but it seems to be gone once she makes it to the lounge as far as she can tell. Rei was used to spirits and the like. Perhaps Usagi should ask her about this? She herself has never had to deal with such things. How to make sense of it herself, the way Rei has. If this was some sort of strange spirit. Usagi could be jumping to conclusions, but she isn't sure what else might explain the sudden appearance and just as abrupt disappearance of the fox.]
Rei-chan, did you see.....a fox?
Out and About:
[Of course, she doesn't immediately realize. That the fox is somehow real in a sense. That it seems to be attuned to her memories. That others have their own animals of sorts following them, attuned to theirs. The consequences of touching one. So when she does head out, towards work or school, the arcade, or just to wander in general, she has no idea on what she might expect. If her fox touches someone or if someone else's strange companion touches her.
She might seem a little more somber than usual, a bit more....paranoid? Looking behind her every so often for the fox.]

Ah, um....I couldn't help hearing, but. Do you see some weird animal too? A fox?
[ooc: Any preferences on a memory for him to get? Or just hit me up if you want to share one of his with her. I have a list of potential ideas in a comment to this post, but any will do. If you are familiar with the series, just keep in mind I took her pretty early canon-point wise, just after the Dark Kingdom arc, so she has yet to even meet Chibi-Usa etc.]

[Eiji feels really dumb right now.]
Sorry, if I'm bothering you or anything. I just don't want it bumping into anyone. It's done it enough today.
[OOC: I'm pretty familiar with the canon, so that's no problem--any memory's good. If you want a memory from Eiji, just going to ask you to do permissions. Tldr, the dork has some pretty awful memories of war and his last game.]
no subject
[What would happen if the fox did? Maybe she is better off not finding out.....]
[ooc: No worries! Usagi is at least somewhat familiar with fighting and all, due to being a senshi and memories of the Silver Millennium and how that crumbled when Earth's army invaded. If it's easier, we can roll with one of hers if you're more familiar, since I admit to being canonblind.]

Anyway, when it touches someone, they see one of your memories. And you can feel really sick when it happens. It's...well, it's not nice, that's for sure.
[OOC: No problem! We can do one of hers.]

[But...memories? Like when the seal unlocked at her regaining her memories of being the Princess? Like the mirrors at the carnival earlier at Cerealia? Usagi isn't sure what to make of that. Depending on the memory, there are decidedly some she would rather keep secret. That anyone would want to keep private.
But they don't have a choice. Because of course it's at that point that her fox's tail brushes against the other. Bringing with it a memory of a slightly younger Usagi walking out of a jewelry store with a test from school. Her first meeting with Mamoru. With her Endymion, in this life.]
M-Mamo....Mamo-chan?
[That felt really strange. Also knowing that whatever it was, he also saw it. Though at least this one isn't so private as certain other memories.]
[ooc: I am so sorry this took forever. I still feel like I'm kind of catching back up from my hiatus a bit.]

Who was that?
no subject
[Boyfriend, lover, even in their previous life together. It seems even this time they were still fated to meet. Yet this also just makes her miss him all the more, the reminders and memories like this. Even their meeting shown there feels like forever ago when really it was probably months or a year at best.]
no subject
[You'll have to forgive Eiji if he's a little slow in picking up how much you miss him. He's really bad when it comes to understanding love.]

[Ikkuko had still found out and shut her out for a while anyway. But it could have been worse. She hadn't yet actually made good on threats to send Usagi to cram schools like Ami or anything.
But the memory is just as strong as if this was yesterday. Her first meeting with him in this lifetime. Before the memories of Princess Serenity returned to her. It's almost amusing, remembering how they first didn't necessarily get along, his teasing her even back then.]
no subject
[Well, at least this, he's got some tact about.]
I guess that must have been embarrassing.
no subject
[Not her best subject. But then....there isn't really one she excels at. But that is no surprise, considering this is the girl who says her favourite time at school is lunch and her hobbies being eating and sleeping. Yeah.]

So he has an idea how to open it back up.]
You know, there are other countries with enough Japanese people that you can do pretty well visiting there. There are a lot in Hawaii and Brazil, for example.

[She couldn't refuse a chance to laze in the sun and swim all day. But at the same time, she's not sure she's heard as much otherwise. But she hasn't really bothered to look, where might be best to find other Japanese tourists.]

[Already half daydreaming about the possibilities. And not yet seeming too upset or distracted with the memory shown. It could have been a lot worse, really. That one was rather mundane in comparison to some potential revelations.]

[Sure, Usagi hates school in regards to English and stuff, but nobody could say she wasn't an extrovert who made friends with everyone. People, that's what she's good at. In spite of her flaws. That's why she fights.]
no subject
[And this is probably not the advice Usagi's friends would want him to give her, you know, about actually trying to learn in school.]
no subject
[Still. She wants to eventually get a job, to stay with Mamoru and her friends. Always. And at least now she's trying to be a little more careful in attempting to keep the fox in sight. Not that she can see his, but her own at least.]

The next thing Usagi will see is Eiji a few years younger, standing in front of a school in Africa. He's trying to help out, passing out school supplies, but most of the kids shy away from him, leading the teachers to apologize to him in English.]
Oh, no, it's okay. I understand.
[But later, after school, one of the kindergarten girls comes back over to him. She only speaks Arabic, and Eiji's fumbling with the words.]
Uh, Alfreed, is it? No, I'm getting it wrong, right?
[The girl doesn't understand him much either, so she quietly hands him a smooth white stone. That's enough for Eiji to understand, and he grins back at her as she shyly smiles.]
no subject
[Even with this being the second time it's happened, it still takes Usagi by surprise. The feeling of the invisible - to her - fox curling up at her feet, the sudden memory that plays out.]
That girl, she was a friend of yours?
no subject
Um, yeah. I helped out her school a few years ago.
no subject
[Or her and any of the other senshi. Regardless of if he was this girl's boyfriend now or not. Usagi catches that glare, making it obvious he doesn't want to be reminded of it. Of her.]
no subject
But you'll see him again. We just have to restore our worlds.
[However they went about doing that, anyway. But he could fake some optimism for her.]
no subject
[She has to. Rei says so. Chibi-Usa is proof, if nothing else. Usagi has to have faith. Hope. It's what she does. All she has, here.]
