[closed] what is love?

Who: Raven ([personal profile] fishyoldman) and Jibril ([personal profile] bookdrooling)
When: During Event 030
Where: ViViD
What: Raven and Jibril go on an Educational Date (TM) in ViViD. How romantic...?
Rating/Warning: Rated P for perverted old men.

[Raven's not sure how this happened. What started as curiosity about all things weapon and blastia-related on Jibril's end, and flirting for fun on his end, lead to Jibril revealing she's incapable of feeling love. That just seemed sad to Raven, not so much because he cared whether she refused his cheesy come-ons, so much as because he felt bad for her own sake. So, he offered to teach her.

Too bad his track record is absolutely terrible when it comes to these things. Sure, women are all over him back home, but love love? Beyond a superficial level, with all the touchy-feely sentimental stuff included? He's terrible at it. Maybe not as terrible as a 6,000something-year-old angelic weapon of destruction, but still. To say he doesn't even know where to start would be an understatement.

For now he's happy to just wing it and see what happens. So he's waiting for her at their agreed meeting point outside ViViD, with his damaged little spirit dove in tow crooning feebly, and his newly-renovated bow in hand. The Divine Cannon looks good as new, if not better than before.]

Hey, little guy. Can ya try ta sound a little perkier? You and me are gonna see a cute girl real soon.

[Raven crouches down to ground level talk to his spirit companion, but it doesn't respond or seem to hear him at all. To Jibril, it'll probably just look like he's giving himself a pep talk. Weirdo.]

[Right at the meeting time, Jibril did what she did best. Which was mostly to use magic to travel around. Which she did technically promise to teach Raven at some point....once Jibril had decided that she had deciphered the magic system he used. Though when it came to magical theory, not much could get past the angel.

Still, with a loud WHOOSH of displaced air, Jibril and her own lame dove instantly appeared in front of the center, as it was only a quick teleport away from her own room.]

Good afternoon. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?

Really?

[His heart seemed able to handle that much, at least. Was that some kind of human expression?]

Ah, well, I won't make any promises. If I can get to somewhere easily I will. Perhaps you should brace yourself better?

Oh~!

[She more wants to see what it can do versus actually looking at it so she gestures for Raven to follow after her. Mostly so they can both go inside and she can set up a pre-programmed game. One more focused on using bow....blades. Or how Jibril imagined they would be used. Behind her, her dove kind of limped after her. Probably the same Raven's was doing.]

We'll have to put it to the test before we can make any definitive statements about it, however.

A friend?

[Hmmm....oh right. Jibril kind of had one too.]

Certainly, as long as you don't mind one of mine. It doesn't seem to want to leave my side.

I believe the game genre is called Action RPG, or role playing game. Namely, when we begin, our abilities will be limited and the longer we play, the more we can spend 'experience points' to gain new abilities.

To make things more interesting, I've decided to limit my own abilities by taking a new combat experience path. If you'd like to limit your own to keep things from being too easy in the beginning, let me know and I can program that.

[Namely, with herself limited, they could keep from sweeping the game from the beginning.]

I don't mind a challenge every now and then!

[Thankfully they were starting from level one.

Still, after a few key presses at a terminal, they were ready.]

Let me know when you're fully prepared and I'll start it!

If you insist!

[A couple more button presses and with a flash, they were sitting in a futuristic city environment. With a lot of demons around them.

Kind of like that whole Devil May Cry thing.]

I'm counting on you to keep me safe!

[She wasn't but she may as well add on the pressure.]

[Jibril let herself have a sword so she could try out something new while she was at it. That sword, she waved around a couple times, just to test it out. Thankfully, she was still physically strong and the demons also seemed to not care for the moment as nothing was yet in their threat radius.]

If you want more experience, you kill them all. If you want to beat the game faster, you just take out the ones you need to.

[Looks like Raven is already familiar with the concept of aggroing. Though Jibril honestly isn't but when using canned game designs, it tends to get built in.

The lack of blood, though, means it's rated a mere PG-13, mostly because Jibril didn't want to get TOO excited about killing. When you're a murder machine, it pays to have restraint.

Raven's strategy is a good one, at least, luring over three rather than a much more threatening group.]

Oh! Are you a veteran of this type of thing?

[Either that or it was an accident. Still easy enough for Jibril to ready her sword.]
