Who: Takeru Takaishi (and Patamon) and you!
When: 8/1
Where: Anywhere!
What: After 3 years, Takeru is slowly trying to remember about this place and getting use to whatever Cerealia has for him! And failing to write a story too! And maybe a question to ask everyone.
Rating/Warning: Nope!
A - Making my way downtown
[It had been one weird, weird day for Takeru. After suddenly reappearing in his world, he had to wonder if everything he thought of was merely a dream. Even when he told his mom, she told him that such things didn't exist. But then again, a lot of his friends thought he was making things up. So surely, there was no way that such things like Cerealia was ever truly real right? On top of that, after a previous conversation, a part of him also had to wonder if everything back home was real too.
Either way, it didn't stop him from living the past 3 years as if nothing ever happened. After finding himself back in the Digital World and rescuing Hikari, the last thing he would ever expect was to come straight back here! However, here he was now! As soon as the familiar slide show was over, all he could do was sigh. What was a 10 year old boy to do now?
Why go around a familiarize himself with his surroundings and catching up with everyone he knew, of course! Staring straight into his CereVice, he wanted to pay close attention and see just where he was going. Too bad he wasn't looking what was actually in front of him.
One might see Takeru randomly bumping into walls, lamp posts and maybe even you too!]
B - The joys of writer's block
[After spending the some time in Cerealia, Takeru was slowly starting to get the hang of this place. And what better way for him to ease his way into this new lifestyle than for him to begin his new writing adventure here? Of course, that was a lot easier said than done.
As he sat under a tree, one could see scraps of paper around him. With a small pout, he was determined to write something! But it seems as if his muse was nowhere to be seen! If one should look at those paper, there were a bunch of stories written out! One could be a mystery that involved a missing item, another would even be about a princess, or maybe another would be about Cerealia itself!
Either way, all Takeru could do was give a loud sigh.]
You've got to be kidding me....
C - Writing on them networks
[As Takeru looked at his device, he debated if he should ask. But if it was bothering him for a while, it was probably best to ask anyway]
There's something that has been bothering me lately. I remember a long time ago, someone mentioned to me that when we go back home, there's a chance that it might not even be real.
I don't think so but its been a while since I've even been here. I'm not even sure if that's true anymore.
D - Wildcard!
[Anything goes here! If you got something else in mind, let me know! My plurk is Rosemotifs!]

Sorry, are you-...?
[Hey, wait a minute here. Was that...?]
H-Hikari-chan? Is that you? [But didn't he just see her a few hours ago? And why in the world was she so little??]
no subject
Ta...Takeru-kun?
[It was his eyes. And hair, but moreso his eyes. She stared into them and recognized the little boy who, not so long ago, she'd had to look down at in order to meet his gaze.]
...you got taller.
no subject
...In fact, now that he thought about it? Did any time pass by at all since the last time he came here? This was going to be awkward.]
I haven't seen you in 3 years, it's been a long time since I last saw you!
[If he remembered correctly, wasn't she suppose to be a kid since he last left?]
...But I hope you weren't worried about me while I was away.
no subject
[Hikari had always been fairly subtle when it came to visually expressing her emotions, but right then, Takeru would be able to see the exact moment her heart dropped. Three years. He was three years older than her now. Not only that...from his words, it sounded to her like those three years has been spent apart from one another.]
[She'd known it was a possibility, sure; he lived in a different part of Tokyo than she and most of the Chosen did. With his mom. Still, to hear him say that aloud...]
Does that mean...we're not best friends anymore?
[If...they had gone so long without seeing each other. Getting to play together. Grow up together.]
no subject
This was even worse than the last time he made his best friend feel horrible. But how was he suppose to feel that one of his friends was so much younger than he was?]
Of course not, we're are best friends! Just because I'm a little older doesn't mean that we can't!
[Although, he can't deny that it was going to be awkward]
no subject
But...you said we haven't seen each other in three years.
Not even once?
no subject
As he got down to Hikari's height, he gave her a small smile]
No, we haven't but you want to know a secret? I'm going to be moving to Odaiba really soon! We'll be able to see each other then!
no subject
You're...really moving to Odaiba, Takeru-kun?
[It had yet to dawn on her that she should have addressed him as -san, now that he was three years her senior. The name flew too easily out of her mouth. Like an old habit she had yet to rid herself of.]
That means...we'll get to see each other again? Whenever we want?
no subject
Mhmm, we will! And we're going to make a lot of new friends along the way too like Daisuke-kun, Miyako-san, and Iori-kun! So you don't have to worry!
[While it probably wasn't a good idea to mention what he saw in the future, it couldn't hurt just to give her a little preview. However, he couldn't help but wonder just what kind of effect it might have should she go back home.
Would it drastically change everything? Who is to say for sure]
no subject
Good. I'm glad.
[For now, for her, it was enough.]
no subject
Then how about we go somewhere? You feel like going on a walk around the park right now?
[And slowly befriend his best friend's 7 year old self once again]
no subject
Do you...remember the paths?
no subject
[That and he might as well let her take the lead. After spending the past few minutes trying to remember where everything was, it was probably better to let her do it.
...And avoid hitting lamp posts and other people too] How do you get to the gardens again?
no subject
It's this way. Not too far, so we should be able to walk there.
You'll know you're getting close when you can hear the water. Or when you smell the flowers. They look really pretty right now.
no subject
[But more that he thought about it? The more he couldn't help but wonder]
But you weren't out here in the garden by yourself while I was gone, were you?
no subject
Not always. Sometimes, Tailmon would come with me.
no subject
[Despite the 3 year difference, it never stopped Takeru from feeling the urge to know if Hikari was okay. Especially not after what happened to her before he arrived here...]
no subject
...no.
[Though, before he could start to worry (more)--]
But it's okay. Tailmon was with me most of the time. And when she wasn't, it's because I wanted to be by myself for a little bit.
no subject
And you were okay during that time? [He really didn't want to keep asking her questions but he just had to be sure.
Especially when somebody could just disappear instantly without a notice here]
no subject
Is there...a reason I wouldn't be okay?
[Unless he was talking about her being sad. Which...she had been. Sad, if hopeful, and occasionally lonely. Missing her best friend and the fun games they were able to play together in between all of the bad things that happened in this world.]
no subject
Although, the problem now was if he could keep hiding it from her]
I didn't know if you were when I was away so I wanted to be sure.
[While he wasn't telling the truth, it wasn't a complete lie. However, he had to wonder just how long he had before she figured it out]
no subject
I...was worried about you. And Patamon.
[But otherwise okay. Relatively.]
no subject
I'm sorry, Hikari-chan. I didn't mean to make you or anyone else worried about me.
[Pause] But at least I'm here now aren't I? And we'll make sure we won't have that happen again!
no subject
I want to promise that, Takeru-kun.
But...I know you didn't want to disappear. [She certainly didn't blame it.] And I don't want to disappear on you, either. But it happens, and...I'm not sure there's any way we can stop it from happening.
no subject
And yet?]
Then we'll just have to hope that Cerealia doesn't. Don't worry, I said I would protect you didn't I? I'm not going to break it, I promise!
