[open] TEST YOUR MIGHT
Who: Yusuke Urameshi
fingerbanged & YOU!
When: IC: 8/2
Where: A really, really bad Street Fighter knock-off in ViViD
What: The past few weeks and the disappearance of a friend have been rough on Yusuke, so he's taking his frustration out in the best way he knows how-- punching things. Unfortunately, with CERES machinery on the fritz, it seems like there's new (and not entirely willing) challengers being glitched into his level of Ultra Alley Brawlers...
Rating/Warning: RATED Y FOR YUSUKE aka heavy chances of violence, bad language, blood, and everything else that comes with sticking a hot-blooded shonen protagonist in a fighting game-- also potential embarrassing outfits
[So you may be minding your own business, happily playing some innocent ViViD game such as Cybuddy Raiser or Gourmet Mother, or you're in the middle of labor-intensive RPG-style session, about to finally hit that desired stat level and take on the regional boss. Or you may even just be hanging around the ViViD Center, taking a break from the energy draining effects of the machines before jumping back into the fray again.
Suddenly, the area around you shifts and pixelates, stuttering and glitching for a moment or two, before it corrects itself, and-- wait a moment. This wasn't where you were before! Instead, you're looking out at one of these slightly grainy surroundings, while the dulcet sounds of this beautiful song blares all around you. Thankfully, your attire remains the same-- unless you're one of the unfortunate few whom the game had decided needed an outfit adjustment. But it's okay! High-cut leotards are great for kicking!
Like a large, blinking sign, the words A NEW CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED flashes above your head, before vanishing into thin air, replaced by a time slowly counting down from 90. Before you can really dwell on what those words mean, however, the loud sound of pounding feet rushes in your direction, a young man in this get-up charging towards you, fist cocked and ready to fight.
... you may want to do something about that.]
[tl;dr, welcome to the not!Street Fighter simulator! It's up to you if you want your character to be glitched into a weird fighter-game outfit, keep their normal attire, or change into some alt outfit from canon! If your character isn't a fighter, that's okay! There's handicaps in place, and, given how ViViD likes to mess with things, your character can easily be super strong or super weak given how you want the interactions to go! There's potential for final boss fights and bonus modes (as well as time-up 'draws'), so go wild! If you want to hash anything out or plot, hit me up at

But... Darin was a demon, wasn't he? He had to be-- his energy was so thick right now, it was stifling. So was he in denial or something? Did he not know?
This wasn't the time to be puzzling this out, though. What was more important was keeping this guy from destroying him, or at least knocking his HP out the window. With attacks like these, though, it was getting more and more difficult to counter, Darin's hits finding their mark more often than he could block. As the other man pulls their arms apart, however, it became crystal clear what he was planning to do next, and speed was the most important factor.]
YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING, YOU DUMBASS!
[Once Darin plummets in for a headbutt, Yusuke swings his own head up as hard and fast as he can meet him, hoping that his diamond-quality noggin can take the brunt of the damage and deal an equal amount back at him.
... let's hope this doesn't backfire terribly, though.]

[Darin staggers back, blood pouring down his face. His breath comes in harsh rasps and that energy that he had been putting out simmers and vanishes as quickly as he had brought it out.]
What...are...
[He manages to get half of his question out before he drops to his knees, and falls face forward onto the shattered ground. His HP bar is depleted and while he's not dead, he's definitely exhausted. He even groans a bit. He's not knocked out but he's just on the verge of consciousness.]

Yusuke sways a little on his feet, his hair matted and damp with blood of his own injuries thanks to their clash. Amazing. Truly amazing. He hadn't met anyone yet who could withstand a headbutt of his, but here this jerk was, still able to speak before collapsing to the floor. There was a weak chuckle as his hand reached up to slick back his sticky, wet hair, a wry grin playing across his face.]
... heh. Like I'm... gonna...
[But his strength gives way, and he topples messily onto Darin, letting out a small grunt as his body impacts the other man's. Yep, he definitely needed a nap of some sort.
On the upside, it looks like neither of them have to worry about a penalty-- the words DRAW blink and flicker above them, before winking back into oblivion.]
