Where: THE MACHO CAFE
What: It's a mingle log! Appliances and machines aren't working as they should, Vietnam and Ai Thao have turned to the Macho Cafe to use their STRONGER and BETTER kitchen. And then they ended up with muscular volunteers because they couldn't say no. Vietnamese chicken porridge for all plus a few fun games from thescary dreamy muscled employees!
Rating/Warning: Really strong, muscular waiters, a lot of food.
[ It was about that time again where Ai Thao and Vietnam wanted to share their culinary passion with the rest of Cerealia. Since their pho dinner went pretty well last time and there's yet another influx of new arrivals, they wanted to cater to them again! Problem is... The usual equipment sure hasn't been heating up or chilling their food well. But that problem seems to have been solved.
If you pass by the Macho Cafe, there seems to be a fun event going on involving a delicious special on chicken rice porridge (free bowl for every customer including new arrivals). The savory aroma wafts throughout the cafe and out of the door hopefully enticing new customers.
You'll probably spot Ai Thao and/or Vietnam walking around the tables taking away plates and asking how the food isand totally not staring/looking away at the masculine workers nope. There's a bit more to do here other than get free food though.
Ai, here waves cheerfully at new people who come inside. ]
Hello! Please come in and enjoy yourself! Um, we should have more seats than we do at the Sanctuary and there will definitely plenty of chao ga to pass around.
Oh, and I think one of the guys might have set up some games? They were really excited about it...

a. EAT AND DRINK
Sit down, have a drink, and free chicken porridge. The muscular workforce is all too eager to pull you into a chair thrust a bowl at you, oops, hope some hot porridge didn't spill on you?! Other then that, you might be seated across from someone you know, your best frienor someone completely new! Chat it up, see if you can make heads and tails of Cerealia if you're new, or discuss Athena's Timeline Document. It's more fun over food after all.
b. MO' FOOD MO' PROBLEMS
There is a humongous bowl of steaming hot porridge sitting menacingly at the biggest table. In fact, it's so big, it nearly takes up the whole table, it might as well be a huge pot. There's a sign in front of it:
"FINISH IN 1 HOUR!!
GRAND PRIZE: 350 CREDITS!"
Ai Thao Kha is banned from the contest
c. DEM GUNS
Here's another sign at another table! With a lot of the handsome muscular men who flex at you as if daring you to come close!

It's not just me. Miss Sen is the one who did a lot of actual cooking. I helped prep! And so did the workers here in the cafe.
We had some portable equipment so we could have had this somewhere else, but it hasn't been working properly. So we asked if we could use the kitchen here and thankfully all of them have been very kind to accommodate us!

[And a minute it takes! Ai has to zig zag past the super muscly men, but she gets a tray of chao ga to Soleil safely and it's steaming and piping hot, served with poached chicken salad and fried bread on the side.]
Here you go! This is something that's made in my country. It's a comforting and surprisingly filling dish, so I hope it can help recover any lost strength!

I did have a long workout today, so this is just what I needed.
( She grabs a piece of the bread, but pauses right before she takes a bite. She reaches under the table with her foot to push the chair across from her out. )

Yay! Good food is better with a pretty girl. I'd offer to share, but I'm already sure I'll have seconds as it is.
( She goes to town. She takes a few sips of the soup before regretting being so impatient and decides to actually let it cool a bit before devouring it. She isn't a slob and she has enough manners to (mostly) not talk with her mouth full, but she sure is going at that food. )

We served a noodle soup from our homeland last time and then we wanted everyone to try out the porridge dish too. It's a comforting slice of home so to speak.

It's only the second time Miss Vietnam and I had an event like this where we gave out free food. The first time, we held it in the Sanctuary! We wanted the new arrivals to get their bearings and settle down nicely by making them feel welcome. After all, everyone of us must have felt lost when we found ourselves here.

Mostly, anyway. This is definitely much better than what I normally find around here.

I like pudding, too. I prefer meat, but I love sweets, too. I was actually practicing making them before I came here, actually.
