[ Peridot doesn't exactly specialize in physical strength herself. Even if it's not "impressive" per se, he's still doing what he can, and she's still touched by the idea of him more or less fighting by her side. ]

[ It does slip from her "grip" a bit when it's impacted, but she gets hold of it again quickly enough. This could really work! ]
