[Early in the morning, Rock Lee can be found jogging around any section of the city. But as he jogs, he has a notepad open and is frantically scribbling in it, while dried tears are on his face.]

I must remember... every last past of that dream!

[Perhaps you hear him say that; or perhaps something more concerning is happening. He's not always paying attention to where he's going while writing, after all, so he may be about to run into something dangerous, or even collide into you!]

[Or you may find Rock Lee at a later point in the day, anywhere around the city. Regardless of where it is, the main thing to note is that several stalks of corn have started sprouting up around Lee. He looks around in confusion.]

It... it seems to be real, Kashuu-kun! [He picks up an ear of corn, examines it for a moment and then throws it right at Kashuu, as if this test will prove it.]

[Kashuu makes a little startled sound and reflexively SMACKS IT OUT OF THE AIR.

...But it sure is solid!! He stares at his hand and then at the corn in mild confusion.]

Where'd that even come from...?

[Rock Lee watches silently for a moment as the corn falls to the ground.]

Cool move! [He chimes with a thumbs up before he addresses the question.] ...Ah, I have no idea where it came from, Kashuu-kun! It seemed to appear from nowhere!

[Just as reflexively, even though smacking corn wouldn't be at the top of anyone's list of accomplishments. MORE IMPORTANTLY--]

Did you trigger some kinda weird corn thing when you walked through here?

You are welcome! [He frowns as he thinks that over.]

I do not know how it could have triggered. It simply... keeps on occurring!

...I guess there are weirder things, and corn's pretty useful. Aren't you a little worried, though?

[What if Lee is the next victim of the children of the corn??]

Worried?! But... These plants are innocent! There has been no threat at all!!

For now, yeah! What if that changes? What're you gonna do then?

W-well, if they wish to fight me... then I will take them on!

There, that's the spirit! Always be prepared for an attack.

Hm... Yes, this is true! Normally, these odd occurrences are cruel in a way. But, this one... this one!! ...It seems to only be inconvenient.

Maybe if you turn your back on the corn for too long, it'll come to life! ...Or something.

[Rock Lee gasps.]

That... that would be truly cruel! For the corn to only feel the youthful spark of life when I am not there to feel proud of them and cheer them on...!

You gotta be ready to cheer 'em on just in case, then!
