[The first option is the dream taking place in Yuri's Perfect Version of her world. Namely, Kurosawa Antiques. She sits at a table, a cup of coffee in hand; outside, the sun is beginning to set, casting an orangey-red glow through the shop. It's warm and comforting and Yuri actually looks rather content with everything.

There's even a second cup set out for someone else to enjoy.

Behind the doorway that leads to the back of the shop is the rest of the house, where Yuri actually lives; A walkthrough can be skimmed over here]

[Or maybe she's featuring in your character's dream? This is some inception level of dreaming here.]

((OOC: Whether they remember their time in Cereal is up to you, though if nothing's established I'm going to assume they will remember. And thanks to Yuri's natural abilities and everything going haywire in the city, let's say both parties will be aware of/remember the dream when they wake up. /finger guns))

[Kashuu is the sort of annoying person who seems to make himself at home basically Anywhere and Everywhere, including other people's dreamscapes, apparently.

That is to say, he sure does just come waltzing over like that second place at the table was set specifically for him. It's nice here, anyway - it feels warm and safe and comfortable, and seeing Yuri happy is pleasant, too. After he sits, he tugs at the handle of the cup but doesn't pick it up yet.]

Smells good! It's coffee, right?

[She looks amused, but the cup was poured for him anyhow. Probably? She doesn't quite remember pouring the cup, but surely it was for him.]

Mm-hm. Hisoka's taught me how to make it; whole beans, nothing pre-ground here. Hisoka's a little picky like that, I guess.

[Yuri doesn't mind, though. It's given her a whole new appreciation for coffee that she didn't have before.] We have tea too, if you don't like coffee.

[adornmental]

I don't mind coffee. We don't have it a lot, so it's kinda like a nice treat, see?

[Now he picks the cup up, taking a breath of the steam in before having a tiny sip so he doesn't burn his tongue.]

Huh... Usually the coffee I have is bitter, but this one's almost, like... smooth!

[Yuri tries to hide just how pleased she is with the compliment by taking another sip of her coffee, but it's hard to deny the little smile.]

I'm glad. I can make coffee like this for you and everyone else any time I want now... And I don't have to worry about the appliances going crazy and trying to attack or something. [Thanks CERES.]

But, it's almost a little weird to be this relaxed, you know...?

[The little smile is definitely something he picks up on, and he smiles back in turn, bright and beaming.]

That's the best part, right? If I had to deal with one more microwave exploding, I dunno what I'd have done... But if that's really the case, I'm gonna have to stop by more often.

[For MORE COFFEE, but also for good company. Though her last question gives him pause for a second.]

Yeah... I'm not used to having any time to relax, so it's extra weird.

It's kind of appropriate you're here though... [You know since this is an antique shop and all. Is she calling him old? Yes.

She hides her smile behind her cup again, but gives a little snort in response to her own joke coughing on her drink and clearing her throat. No nope no joking around here.]

We've got all this time to do what we want now, but I don't even know where to begin.

You better be saying that 'cause it's nice and cozy and warm in here and I'm a friendly guy who really fits in in that kinda atmosphere!

[WHO'S SHE CALLING OLD, WOW. He's got hundreds of years left to go before he gets to kooky grandpa status!!

But he can tell she's joking at least, considering the little cough. Considering how Yuri can sometimes he, he thinks he quite prefers to see her joking, even if it's at his expense.]

You're right about that, though... I had a whole list of things to do, y'know! But now that I have the time, it's like I can't actually... [Trailing off, WAVING A HAND, as if that might somehow help him grasp the words.] ...Organize it all? Or something. Is having too much free time even possible?

Hmm, is that why...? [SURE KASHUU WHY NOT. Like he hasn't already reached kooky status at least.] Don't worry, I won't sell you by accident.

[That'd be terrible. Something something her promise to never abandon him or whatever etc. But she can understand his point there--too much time definitely seemed to be a problem.]

It's like now that you have so much time you think 'I can get to this whenever.' There's no time limit, so things just keep getting put off. I'm not sure if that makes me happy or not... I'm glad to be back home, but...

Obviously that's why! And you better not or I'll come back and haunt you.

[As if Yuri isn't haunted by enough things already?! But hey, at least Kashuu isn't a horrific spooky hellspawn ghost or hachishakusama or something.

He makes a little sighing sound of semi-agreement, either way. That about hits the nail on the head as far as he's concerned.]

It's the worst, right? And then so many days pass by and suddenly it's been like, fifty years! [Not for a human, Kashuu?!] But I guess we'll get used to it eventually. How's it going for you, anyway? Readjusting to things...?

Hmm, whatever would I do then. [Not hauntings! She's never dealt with that before!!

His question makes her sigh though and she shakes her head] Fine, I suppose. But it's-- Weird? It's like the more I try to remember things, the more I forget and the fuzzier it gets. But everything's been going so well since we left, it's like I don't want to spend too much time dwelling on it to begin with.

[Yuri pauses and runs a hand through her hair, shrugging sheepishly.] But it's a quiet mountain village. It's a lot different from the way the city was, so there's a lot of little things I have to get used to too. [She peers at him over the edge of her cup] What about you? Can you move around this freely?

[adornmental]

Hey, take it seriously! I'd make for a really bad spirit to be haunted by! [All of her cosmetics would disappear! Her wardrobe would suddenly be filled with overly-expensive cutting edge items!!

But more important is the readjustment period, he supposes...]

Mm, yeah, I get that too. I still remember a lot of it, but I don't like thinking about that stuff anyway. [A little, sloping shrug.] And I remember you guys! That's the only part I really care about. [A SAP.

As for her other question, he stretches his free hand out, flexing his fingers.]

Mmhm! I've always been able to do that, but it's nice to visit everyone. Are you gonna do that, or are you just gonna stay here for a while?

[WOW DON'T BE RUDE] Well, if that's the case, I suppose I'll have to guard you well against anyone trying to buy you or steal you or something. [Sheesh.

She hesitates at the question, watching his fingers move.] As long as I have my memories, that's all that matters to me. I'm glad we kept them-- I'm not sure what I would've done if you'd shown up being able to remember me, but I couldn't remember you or vice versa.

I thought once I got back home, I wouldn't want to move or anything, but... I'm getting more and more restless. I guess once you have some taste of adventure it isn't long before you want to get back to it. [As long as it's not GHOSTLY ADVENTURES again, she could do without that thanks.]

I actually want to get out and see the world and everyone else now. It'd be nice to get everyone together and take a trip somewhere, right?

[adornmental]

[TOO LATE, HE WAS BORN THAT WAY.]

Good! You said you'd take good care of me, anyway. Don't think I've forgotten that, okay?

[PUFFING HIS CHEST OUT A LITTLE as if he's totally proud of the fact that she made that promise at all... Which he definitely is.]

The thought of losing all those memories is pretty sad, though... I mean, I kinda thought that was the way it would be for a while, back when people said they went home and didn't remember anything. Guess it's a good thing they were just getting more info from the code or whatever without actually going home.

[Though something about saying that aloud seems to hit a strange chord in him, and his expression shifts into something vaguely disgruntled for a second before he shakes it off and moves on. The most important thing here is--]

Ooh! Like a vacation?! [He NEARLY SPILLS HIS DRINK because he's so damn excited that he lurches forward.] A vacation with all of us!

I remember, I remember. [She wouldn't joke about forgetting that, though there was a bit of temptation to start. But no, she wouldn't be mean to Kashuu for the sake of a joke.]

How did that work out...? [As in, how did they use the code to go home? How are they able to visit each other like this? The more she tries to think about it, the more-- cold, she feels. Anxious.

Luckily Kashuu's outburst pulls her from it and she jumps back as he lurches further. She stares, wide-eyed, and makes a small, 'aha' sort of noise of amusement.] Yeah, something like that. We could go anywhere, right? It's not like there's anything to stop us. Anywhere in particular you want to go?

[adornmental]

[This is why they get along, clearly... Because she's still willing to indulge his dumb ass when he indirectly asks for reassurance.]

Um-- [That's a good question, though... Ah. Something about that sits poorly with him, sending an almost nervous trill up his spine. He sure is quick to refocus on something new, too.]

Dunno, but the important part is enjoying our time here! So let's pick as many places as we want, okay? We can make a whole huge trip out of it. [He places his hands down palm-flat on the table like he is READY TO GO RIGHT NOW.] I wanna go to Paris and Hawaii and the Water Tribe capital, and I promised someone I'd go to America too and then I gotta visit Stahn and Leon, and - oh, what about your friends? Where are they, we gotta see them too! But definitely Hawaii first.
