Once upon a dream
Who:
onerous & u
When: 9/24
Where: dream world
What: A bit of a catch-all for anyone who wants dream shenanigans
Rating/Warning: None...probably.
[A]
[The first option is the dream taking place in Yuri's Perfect Version of her world. Namely, Kurosawa Antiques. She sits at a table, a cup of coffee in hand; outside, the sun is beginning to set, casting an orangey-red glow through the shop. It's warm and comforting and Yuri actually looks rather content with everything.
There's even a second cup set out for someone else to enjoy.
Behind the doorway that leads to the back of the shop is the rest of the house, where Yuri actually lives; A walkthrough can be skimmed over here]
[B]
[Or maybe she's featuring in your character's dream? This is some inception level of dreaming here.]
((OOC: Whether they remember their time in Cereal is up to you, though if nothing's established I'm going to assume they will remember. And thanks to Yuri's natural abilities and everything going haywire in the city, let's say both parties will be aware of/remember the dream when they wake up. /finger guns))

[While she'd like to just stay and run Hisoka's shop with her, becoming an actual priestess might not be a bad thing, either to fall back on or pursue with the shop to fall back on.]
Not so old. I wouldn't put you a day over 400. [Yuri manages to keep an entirely straight face.]

You're off by a few millenia, if we're counting my memories as lifespan.
And you're right. It's never not too late. You'd be more than welcome to learn. [It's not as hard as people think it is.] You already believe in the spirits, I know that. The supernatural. So, really it's just learning the protocols and procedures. I'd love to.

[Yuri's quiet a moment, staring into her coffee] ...It's strange. I never used to think about the future before; it'd just be one day at a time. Actually making plans and thinking of an actual career and things like that...
I don't dislike it. I think becoming an actual shrine maiden is something I'd really like to do. [Yuri glances to Rei, smiling slightly.] It's probably your influence.

It may be. I'm told I have a way of inspiring people. If my friends are to be believed, anyway.
[Taking a sip of her coffee, she sighs contentedly.]
I'm glad you'd like that, though. It's a dying art. To many people think of it as just something to do when you're in high school and college, to pay the bills. But you...don't do anything halfheartedly. I think that's what I like most about you.

She looks a bit embarrassed by the praise.] Maybe I'm doing it because I like the uniform. [Thaaat's a lie. The biggest lie Yuri's probably ever told and she shakes her head in amusement.] If I start something, I'm going to stick with it.
And you're always encouraging me. When someone believes in you that much, you have to rise to their standards. [She sets her cup down and looks steadily at Rei from across the table.] ...Thank you for that. I think...I've managed to become a much better person because of you and the others.

Rei's smile is small, but genuine, her cheeks a liiiittle bit pink.]
I try, at any rate. I'm glad to hear that though. I admit I like seeing how strong you've become. Though, that's not me. That's you, and your dedication.
I'm just glad that I get to see you continuing to grow.
