[So Cerealia's falling apart, weather's invaded the city, Mosley's a robot, Naki's friends went on a murder spree while he was holed up in his room, etc etc....he's tired. He's not entirely sure why he's tired, after a week of doing nothing but mope (emotional exhaustion is still a foreign thing), but. What he knows is that he should get up, go out, do something, stop lying around. Maybe find something to cheer up the others? What would Ichi-nii like....]

around town

[Naki's in his favorite fox coat, with a matching whiskered face mask, peeking in at various shops in the shopping district. Picking out a notepad at the stationary store! Perusing the snack aisle at...some place that sells snacks! Trying on a scary mask at a costume shop! Staring curiously at a toy store display of plastic jumping beans! Getting ushered out of a store with a NO PETS sign on the door!

Why.....]

But I'm not a pet...! [whines the fox around his neck, as he stares perplexedly at the door.]

[wild card? Shopping aside, he can also be found wandering around the gardens, feeding a carrot to the horse near the dojo, sitting by the street somewhere just watching people walk by...playing rhythm games on his cerevice, maybe.]

We've been well, thank you! Or...as well as one can be in this place, at least.

It's about the same. [ with a very faint smile. ] I wound up causing more problems than I wanted to, unfortunately.

[She caused them? Ah, was she affected too? Naki gives a slow blink and a small nod, in acknowledgement.]

We're glad you seem unharmed, at least! Considering all the recent chaos. [the fox says, tail swishing.] The past few days have been rather difficult, haven't they? But at least we can say we are well enough to move on, and confront the future.

[mombastic]

... I like the sound of that. The only problem is... I'm not sure how to confront it yet.

[ With this talk about Flamines and even possibly being able to return home... ]

...To be honest, neither are we. It's difficult to know exactly how to confront such a huge issue...

[Especially with their saniwa gone and their comrades in something approaching disarray. The fox and his sword turn their gazes to the ground.]

[ Well now, she can't have this. It's probably a bit personal for two creatures she's only met once, but that isn't going to stop Otome from reaching out to rest a hand on their heads. ]

Difficult, yes... but I don't think it's impossible.

[They might've only met once, but Nakigitsune is quick to trust (and fond of headpats). He looks a little surprised at the action though, carefully glancing back up at Otome again from underneath the safety of her hand.]

Ah...you're right, of course! We'll all make it through this, one way or another.

[Naki blinks, turning his gaze to look at the fox (without actually moving his head), before belatedly giving a reply.]

[mombastic]

There you go. [ Otome smiles encouragingly, ruffling Nakigitsune's hair before she lowers her hands. ]

It's far too early to be feeling discouraged. We're already learning more than we knew before, after all.

[yaayaa]

[The sword nods. It honestly is kinda cheering to hear this...though it also feels weirdly strange to be positive after all that time being magically depressed. Strange in a good way?]

We have indeed learned a good deal, haven't we? While we may not be entirely sure what will happen next, we at least have a better grasp of the situation we are in, and the history behind it.

We'll do our best. [At what? At everything, I guess.]

That's right. But the two of you stay safe in the meantime, okay? As long as we don't try to handle this alone, it should be fine.

[yaayaa]

The same goes for you, as well! Nakigitsune wishes your safety, and will happily assist you if the situation arises.

[Naki makes a foxhand in agreement. He may have failed miserably last time, but next time!!!...Hopefully it'll be something he can handle next time.]

Past and future troubles aside, though--we hope today will be a good one, at least!
