[open] he works hard for the money...
Who:
allfortheclan & you!
When: IC 11/11 (OOC 1/31)
Where: Residential, Entertainment & Pleasure Districts
What: After the event, Shirasu tries to go on as if nothing happened! And he got two new jobs. Those jobs need customers, visitors, or people to just bug him in general. (Aka: Catch-all post!) Also, Shirasu and Sousei get stuck in an elevator.
Rating/Warning: Probably none!
a: good morning
[ Who works opening shift at the French-style bistro? This guy. Who knows nothing about France? This guy. But he looks spiffy in his uniform with a little red scarf tied around his neck. And he's there until they turn over for dinner in the early afternoon. ]
Bonjour may I take your order? [ It's a good thing that some French words translate so well into Japanese pronunciation, isn't it? ]
b: what's a lunch break? time to train.
[ Since he a) has not accepted the concept of a "lunch break", and b) he won't be caught dead at the gym in case he runs into Sousei, Shirasu takes a small section of the gardens -- somewhere with trees -- and spends a few hours training (martial arts forms, climbing/jumping up and down trees, meditating). Today, he's also adding in practicing following people without being seen. Did he succeed? ]
c: tea for two and two for tea
[ Off to job number two, playing host at one of the Pleasure District's tea houses. Would you care for a cup of nice green tea? Or maybe sake or beer? Conversation and drinking games are included, sort of like with geisha except without the pretty clothes. Though his lavender kimono's a little more sheer than he'd normally wear... oh well. Come alone or bring your friends. He'll be there all night.
And eventually, he'll go back to his apartment and clean or doze or do anything else that keeps him from dwelling on the fact his life has zero purpose and he's estranged from his remaining family and it's all his own fault. Because the best way to deal with things is to... not deal with them. ]
d: shenanigans
[ You're catching him between locations, or maybe he had a food delivery from the bistro. Was it you? Here's where we just make up something exciting. ]

e is for elevators
He pushes the button, waits calmly, steps in, eyes closed and unbothered by any company he might have. Besides. It's almost always empty.
The doors slide shut.
He pauses.
... It's not empty.
The clothes were unfamiliar enough that he honestly did not notice at first, but--it's pretty obvious now.]
Fuuma Kotarou.
[It's said almost slowly, and then his brows furrow and he turns to the buttons.
He wants off.]
e is for excellence
And since the stairs are closed for repair work, he can't get out on the next floor. ]
Yamainu.
[ He's just going to take his "Eiffel Tower"-shaped delivery bags and move to the very opposite side of the elevator, thank you very much. ]
no subject
... It wasn't Shirasu's fault this time, as hard as that is to swallow.
But nonetheless, he wants out--
Which is when the elevator stops mid-floor, jerking to a sudden stop.

ha.
milla's seated down and absently nibbling on her lunch (some beef stew and bread), though it might be more accurate to say that she's more focused on spreading most of her bread for the alien equivalent of cute little wildlife they have in cerealia who knows (they're not that cute)--
--she hasn't noticed yet. ]
You look strange but you're not all that different, are you? [ spread, spread, spread ] What, you want more?
[ ... and she's also getting embarrassingly into this. she'll notice. eventually. eventually!! ]

For a few minutes, he just crouches on the branch, and rests his chin on his hand as he observes. The girl looks young, athletic -- she looks like a fighter by the way she holds herself. ]
Be careful, they might follow you home.

yes. ]
That sounds like something someone in a tree would do. [ flatly. ] If you're not careful, someone might knock you out of it.
[ like her. with... her bread. yes. ]

Good afternoon, Mary. [ He remembers what had happened when they'd met a few days ago, and has a feeling that would be the cause for her anxiety. ]

Ah, yeah..! [ He's.. looking a little confused though. ]
I totally want to eat something here, but some of the stuff on this.. how am I supposed to read this?
[ He's not as dumb as he usually seems, okay. But on the other hand, it's not exactly like he speaks anything but Japanese. ]
no subject
A lot of it's strange to me, as well. What kind of food do you usually like? [ He can direct to "meat" or "not meat" or "desserts" -- he has tried all of those, he can definitely recommend something there. ]

But he pretends not to. For a little while, after all. Instead he sits down at the base of one of the trees, folding a paper crane out of a piece of paper. When it's done, he holds it into his hand, stares at it, and...
.. sends it flying right up into the tree where he knows Shirasu is watching him. Move quick, because it'll explode only a few moments after - even if it's a small explosion and not too lethal. ]
no subject
So when the origami crane flies up into the branches, Shirasu is ready for a trap. The branch he's on splinters when the bird explodes -- interesting trick -- but he's prepared and lands on the ground in a roll. The kunai stay put for the moment, but he gains his feet in a crouch. ]
I'm impressed.

Hello! [She says her greeting loudly it's almost like she's yelling.]
Am I interrupting anything? [She likely isn't but it'd be rude to just barge in here without warning.]
no subject
Welcome, you're not interrupting at all. [ Now he rises and steps out of the room, bowing. ] Please, come in.

[ It's all right, Yoon will be joining him in the "what is France" corner! Anyway, Yoon doesn't dwell on that for long. After a few seconds, he's looking back down the menu. There are so many dishes that he isn't familiar with... It's a shame that he wouldn't be able to try them all in one day.
But that's all right, too. As it means that there's plenty to learn, and a day will never be dull during his stay in Cerealia. For now, he'll play safe and go with recommendations. ]
What is today's special?
no subject
We have Champignon Parmentier au Gratin. [ He says it more like "shamupinon parumenshie o gurachin", but it's close. ] It's a mushroom stuffed with potatoes and covered in cheese. [ Helpful! Hasn't actually tried it yet. ]

Don't worry!! I'm slow too. :'D

But here we go, someone who is going to take an order. Oh! He even greets in French, it's actually not bad. But ah why not, with no one to actually tease about this later, she might as well play along.]
Bonjour, monsieur. May I have an espresso and...what would you recommend?
no subject
I like the desserts here quite a bit. [ They're radically different from Japanese sweets, but they're sweets and that's all that matters. ]

[ Replies Mitsuru in her perfect French accent. She's looking at the menu, clearly at a loss as what to order. Today is one of her day's off and she's trying to take the day "leisurely". Whatever that means. ]

Fuuma-san?

Kirijo, good afternoon. [ Sets a glass of water down on the table. ] You're looking well.
A (late forever)
Going inside she sits down and looks around, well until she hears the French and spins to meet the face. ...She knows him!]
Bonjour, Mister Ninja!
