[Shirou’s busy exercising at the CERES Gymnasium because he thinks it’s important to stay fit. He’ll just be off to the side doing some push ups. His days of training at the dojo are over. At least he can still keep his promise to protect Sakura. In the end, that’s all that really matters to him. After an hour of workouts he stops training and takes a break. There’s just one other problem. He brought too much food with him here today and he doesn’t want to eat it alone. Someone might make fun of him for it so he’s trying to find a solution quickly. He’ll go on ahead and ask someone nearby a simple question:]

Are you hungry?

[Please help him eat this.]

[The weapon shop’s open for business. Shirou’s taking out some swords and placing them out at the front. He’s been working at this place for a while now, but he’ll always remember Zero’s unruly behavior in the shop. Doesn’t she know you can’t just attack people who work here? She’s insane.

Hopefully whoever comes in today won’t be as crazy. He’ll want a new job if this one becomes too stressful. Shirou shakes his head while looking a little distressed.]

[Edgeworth is at the gym too, for the same reasons. He has to stay fit if he's going to end up fighting all manner of weird things here again, and he can't afford to get rusty. So, he's not far off, performing several moves with his practice sword in a complex dance that weaves everything he learned together from start to finish, then after wrapping up with a flourish, cools down by stretching.

It's when he's stretching his legs that Shirou walks up to him.]

Why do you ask, Shirou? [He's prepared to turn down an offer to treat him to lunch. No, please, Shirou, you don't have to.]

I have a problem. [That's putting it lightly. Shirou folds his arms and talks with a serious look on his face.]

Sakura and I cooked too much food last night. There's no way I can eat it by myself. I'll share some of it with you if you're hungry. [Please don't turn down his offer, Edgeworth. ]

[What. This wouldn't be the first time someone made too much food and offered it to him, honestly. Then again, Saya had probably been under the influence of a tarot card...]

I...I see. What did you prepare? [Asked out of curiosity more than anything. Edgeworth isn't a picky eater.]

[Ai had just finished doing some light strength training and had just sat down with a towel around her neck. When Shirou approaches her, she blinks once or twice before answering.]

Ah... Well, I haven't had lunch yet, so I suppose the answer is yes...?

[Yes! Ai is officially Shirou's new hero. ]

In that case, would you like to eat part of my lunch? Cooking's a hobby of mine and I made too much food by accident. [Sakura's at fault for this too.]

I can buy a drink so you won't get thirsty. How about it?

[He hopes he's being reasonable here. ]

Er... [She's shyly thinking this over... But Ai stops herself before she goes overboard and nods.]

I'd be grateful for your generosity. But, um, could I have your name first? I'm Ai Thao Kha.

[Crossing his arms so hard. Shirou, you can't even project swords all that well, what gives you the right to work here.

As a matter of fact, Shirou could probably read that on his face really well.]

[Shirou can tell what Archer's thinking and it makes him feel embarrassed. Sorry he can't project weapons properly!]

Hm...Archer, I know you're mad but don't just stand there. What do you want?

I'm just wondering what kind of idiocy you've gotten yourself into and, frankly, I'm not disappointed.

[He doesn't really care to put a whole lot of effort into training, but at the same time since there's not much of a call for him to fight as much here, he doesn't want to get rusty. Murasaki, if he were to ever show up here, can't top him, after all...

So it's one of those rare moments he's at the gym, and finally ended up just sitting down when he hears the question.

[Considering the fact that he works at the gym (and the dojo in particular), it'd be stranger for him not to notice the people who work really hard.

He's curious, usually, even if he doesn't interfere.

But then Shirou is asking him anyway, and admittedly, it's nice to hear the kid's voice this time.

I'd like you to finish my lunch.

So are you hungry? I can't ask you to eat it if you're full. [Shirou can't help but think that he's spoken to Sousei before somewhere. ]

I could eat it. [It'd be better than the packaged nonsense gotten from the supermarket, but--]

[it really didn't take yuri very long to figure out where the weapon shop was, but he'd resolved not to go in and look at anything until he'd pocketed enough money from the jobs he took (and ViViD) to actually get something nice.

not that he's even positive he'll find something to his liking, but he won't know until he looks. besides, this sword's not going to last him forever. the sentinel's a good sword, but he's already snagged it's locked skills and maybe he wants something with a little more oomph. flair. pizzazz. something like that. so he'll just be wandering in the store—he looks curious and interested, and it's probably pretty clear that he's the type of guy who belongs in a place like this.]

Not bad. [the selection looks pretty good in general. he isn't sure what he was expecting from this place, but it's better than he would have initially thought, honestly.]

[Yuri's voice catches Shirou's attention and he walks over to lend his assistance.]

Find something you like? I can help you purchase anything you see here. [There's so many weapons. Shirou can't tell if Yuri actually intends to buy anything while he's visiting the shop today.]

[Shun keeps to himself whenever he drops by the gym – entering either in the early mornings or at late evening before getting lost in training against virtual opponents, sometimes (like today) for hours at a time. He has just finished changing after his shower when Shirou catches him, hair still faintly damp.

He frowns faintly at the question, expression and body language guarded. There are no outright enemies here, but some habits are hard to shake.]

...Sure.

[Distrustful he may be, but if this is an offer for free food, Shun knows better than to turn it down.]

Great, I'll share half of my lunch with you.

Is that alright? [Shirou's happy to offer some of his food to Shun, especially since he can't it by himself anyways.]

[Sakura... really has no reason to be here, in all honesty. She doesn't need a new weapon, and there's no pressing reason for her to see Shirou. Because she wants to see him should be a good enough reason by itself, but somehow it feels silly to her. At least she can recognize when she's being self-conscious, right......

Besides, what if she's really just bothering him?! He might be helping out a customer! Or doing inventory! Or something else related to his work! Is it really okay for her to just want to see him without a care when he's in the middle of his job?!?!

So when she comes into the shop, she does so quietly and doesn't say anything just yet. If it seems like he's busy, she can just leave without him noticing anything hopefully...]

[Shirou's working but Sakura's presence never bothers him. In fact, he feels a million times better because she came here.]

Sakura!

[Whoa man guess who's super happy? Shirou is. It'd be inappropriate for him to flirt with Sakura at work so he gives her a regular greeting and waves.]

Are you alright? [Naturally he asks this question because she's so quiet. Shirou's just worrying for her and he wonders if there's something on her mind.]

[Rock Lee immediately assumes a fighting pose.]

I am hungry... for youthful combat!

[Shirou's just sweating nervously while holding his lunch in one hand.]

I wanted to train later but...[Sighs.]

Help me finish my lunch and I'll spar with you. [How does that sound to you Lee?]

[Much like Sakura came in to check on Shirou earlier, Rider will come later in the day closer to evening after she's done working at her job. She has no need for a weapon, but she does want to talk with Shirou. So she just smoothly walks in, wearing a constructor worker uniform as opposed to her regular clothes.]

Shirou, will you be done with work soon?

Hello, Rider. [Rider's presence doesn't bother Shirou that much anymore. He just politely greets her as if it's completely normal.]

Yeah, I'll be finished within an hour or so. [Her outfit though...]

You look good in that uniform.
