Welcome to the CERES! You are now under arrest!

Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim.

In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

PHASE I

[ 0001 ] It's a minute passed midnight, and the newest sets of recovered code are being spat out of ViViD and into Cerealia. Before the joyful reunions begin, an announcement starts blaring through everyone's computer screen, TV sets, devices, billboard screens, and so on. The image flashes with twelve names and twelve pictures along with a list of crimes each person has committed. They continue to flash again and again throughout the colony, alerting everyone of these heinous criminals. It's up to anyone if they want to engage them or stay far, far away from these perverts and miscreants.

As the arrivals begin to explore, they will see themselves plastered on just about every screen imaginable.

PHASE II

[ 200 ] It's still dark outside, hardly anyone out and about. It's the perfect time for an assassination attempt because that's when the information is received and processed by Cerealia's judicial system, but this isn't a job for any ordinary donut-eating cop. No, this is far greater than that. They bring out the big guns.

Twelve assassination droids, clad in armor and carrying katana, are immediately dispatched and sent to take out each of the accused at any cost. Characters are welcome to do any of the above choices while veterans to Cerealia can assist the arrivals, assist the droids, or just sit back and watch others suffer. It's completely up to you. They can also run into the droids on their search and try to interact with them.

PHASE III

[ 700 ] Your friendly CEO has finally gotten his ass out of bed, but by then, who knows how many people are left alive? After hearing of the kerfluffle, he decides to issue a cease and desist on the assassination droids, and instead, has his investigation units step in to confirm that the new arrivals are not guilty of any of the crimes and charges listed under their name. They will be pulled aside for painful, painful questioning before being released to explore as they wish.

To make up for all the damages and trauma incurred from the near-death attempts, Julius will also be giving the new arrivals a settlement of 20,000 credits each, so go out and party.

PHASE IV

[ 1200 ] By noon, the incident has been cleared up with little to no blood spilled (hopefully). New arrivals are welcome to explore and enjoy their new living arrangements or possibly lie in bed and just cry some more. Either way, welcome to the magic that is Cerealia. The CEO will announce that the last of the virus has been officially cleaned up and taken care of, and he'll be issuing a video with a public apology for all.

BONUS

[ whyo'clock ] Among the police droids dispatched, there will be a rehabilitative droid in a dinosaur suit, looking to cure the criminals of their improper behavior and their moral indiscretions through the power of LOVE and HUGS. It was developed after the researchers in CERES did extensive research on other worlds and found that this mystical creature was capable of creating worldwide joy and cheer. It will be chasing those who are on the Wanted List exclusively, but it will not stop at just them. Your character will be accosted and hugged whether they like it or not.

[ With the sandal set well enough to use, Soujirou stands straight again and props his sword casually on his shoulder. It doesn't seem like a good idea to sheath it if more of the droids are going to be coming around, and he doesn't feel like using fancy techniques to disable them in the draw every time... They're not quite good enough for that. ]

I've been training ever since I met Shishio-san, and I just happen to be really fast! I have a natural talent for it, apparently?

[ He says it like he's not completely sure, but it's more along the lines of the people he tends to hang out with are so skilled that it never really felt that abnormal to him. He shrugs with a soft laugh. ]

But I've also never seen anyone fight with guns on their fists! It seems pretty dangerous.

It's not so bad when you get used to it! It's just like typical hand-to-hand with a little more flare.

[ complete with a hand twirl. ]

But I've kind of been fighting since I was young, too.

Maybe so! I don't really like hand-to-hand combat, so I wouldn't know!

[ As is obvious enough by the sword, but more than that, putting a gun on your hand is just a good way to lose your hand in the 1870s... But. ]

Is it common where you come from? Or is it just you, pretty much?

All forms of combat, honestly. But a lot of people use swords and try not to get too close, if they can help it.

[ AND THEN THERE'S YANG. ]

[ and then there's yang indeed, which is why he laughs ]

But not you, it would seem! It's a very bold way to fight...

[ Soujirou hums thoughtfully, then adds, ] By the way! I promise to not arrest you, since you managed to injure me, but would you come with me to the station anyways? We could at least see why they think you're a criminal!

Can you promise they won't keep me there all night? A girl like me's got plans, you know.

[ Like finding her baby sister. ]

Sure!

[ But there's a sense that he hasn't really thought of how to do that, and he won't until he has to. Soujirou doesn't think ahead with things like this, ok. ]

I'm just curious too, really! All of the crimes that are listed are pretty weird, right?

[ He doesn't have to. Yang will legit throw herself out the window if she has to. ]

Could it maybe have something to do with that virus everyone's been talking about?

[ But hey, if he leads, she'll ~~saunter~~ follow. ]

Probably! But that sort of stuff is pretty well over my head, so I can't tell you too much about it. We got some strange messages before, but they were just strange, nothing too bad, I thought.

[ He sheathes his sword at this point, then starts to lead the way towards wherever the hell the patrol station is. ]

But it must be pretty bad if they want you dead, huh?

Oh, I'm used to things wanting me dead! [ She... sure said that blithely. ] I just don't like the idea of them wanting me dead for something I had nothing to do with.

Well, that sort of thing happens, I guess.

[ Another pleasant laugh follows, and he shrugs. ]

If it makes you feel any better, when I showed up, it was completely broken! You'll hear about it if you haven't already, but the game, ViViD? When I showed up, we were all stuck in it for a while!

You were stuck-- like, you couldn't log out?

Mm, that's what they told me!

[ Because Soujirou sure as hell didn't even really know what that meant... ]

But it was alright. Nagumo-san helped me get out! Obviously, since I'm here now, but it wasn't too bad!

And now you work for them-- you really brush things off fast.

Well, you will too, probably! If you live, at least.

[ soujirou stop saying these things so casually ]

It's weird, but it's part of being here! You'll get some jobs suggested to you, and I guess you can take whichever one you want. Patrol officer seemed like something that was suited to me, so I just picked that one. It didn't seem too boring, at least.

If it means you got to meet someone like me-- yeah, I'd say it's not too boring.

[ Yang so modest. ]

[ LMFAO YANG... ]

[ He laughs, though, since wow, how arrogant... ]

[ She won't deny it. ]

[ As is his shoulder... It will not, but he doesn't seem to really care, so...?? ]

[ His tone is light and casual, so it's at least clear that he's not bragging. ]

Then I definitely want to see you go all-out! Why'd your sandal have to break??

It happens a lot, actually! When I'm a bit more prepared for a fight, I'll put on a new pair, but these sorts of sandals don't work well off tatami or other smooth kinds of floors...

[ He shrugs again. ]

But they're what I'm used to! Maybe one day I can really fight you! But you have to be okay with dying.

I'm okay with fighting for my life and not knowing what'll happen next, so good enough! I won't hold back either.

[ She should probably be more concerned. But nope. ]

[ It's okay, Soujirou isn't actually concerned either, clearly... Actually, he seems quite cheerful about the prospect, because Yang's attitude actually reminds him of some of the Juppongatana. ]

That's fair, in that case! One day we'll have a good fight, I promise.

[ He taps a foot against the ground idly, then shrugs ]

There's that game too, but but that really isn't as fun.

That video game thing, you mean?

A lot of that sort of thing is over my head. There's definitely nothing this advanced where I'm from!
