![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

When she looks, though... ]
Mafia crimelord? [ ... ] You don't look like any mafia crimelord I've ever seen.
no subject
They're lying. I don't know what that is, but they're trying to frame me! What kind of weirdos try to frame kids for their crimes? [granted, she doesn't know if that's what is happening, but it sounds better than anything else she can come up with.]
no subject
[ Who would mistake such a cute kid for a crimelord. ]
Maybe they got your identities mixed up.
no subject
[not entirely impossible, but she'd rather not think that.]
They have my picture and everything, though. [this is confusing and frustrating.]
no subject
[ Smooth, Kara. ]
Did they say anything to you?
no subject
but her other question causes elle to tilt her head.]
"They?" [she isn't sure exactly who that's supposed to be. her accusers? whoever tried to explain the situation in terms not suited for an eight year old's understanding? it's a mystery.]
no subject
The people in charge of this place. My own arrival here was a... lot less hectic than this.
no subject
[not that she'll have any idea about it, but they did kind of just leave her to fend for herself.] They don't seem very smart.
no subject
They're called Ceres. Apparently, they're a research company who are set out to help us save our worlds from aliens. I've only been here for a few weeks, so I don't know how honest they are but... a little while ago, I got to talk to someone who works for them.
[ She's talking about the time she responded to a laxative ad because she didn't know what it was, and a nice person emailed her to warm her about it... and they got philosophical. That situation warmed her up to Ceres a little. Not that she's going to admit to them, of course. ]
no subject
[she purses her lips a little, thinking about it for a minute. it sounds kind of ridiculous when she knows there are people in "her" world that can probably kick some serious alien ass. it seems weird, but she's not in much of a position to question it deeply right now. there are more important right now.
you know, like questioning a total stranger about the little things. besides, if she's saying she isn't sure about their honesty, elle knows she probably shouldn't just believe the first thing she hears. somehow, that never works out well.]
You talked to them? What did they say?
no subject
[ She rubs the back of her head. ] At least, that's the impression I got.
no subject
so of course, elle crosses her arms over her chest and tilts her head.] I don't really get it.
[at least she's not being totally sassy about it, even if her expression may just have a hint of "translate for the child, please."]
no subject
no subject
[with or without the current situation, it seems pretty dumb as far as elle can see.]
no subject
Seriously. Sometimes I don't even understand them. [ And with that, she holds out a hand to Elle. ] Sorry the circumstances aren't any better, but it's nice to meet you, crime lord.
no subject
[she may be tilting her head a little at the notion that kara doesn't get them when she seems plenty grown up herself... but it's not all that important. she seems cool and pretty, and that's obviously good enough....
you know, even if she doesn't say it at all. instead, she returns the gesture. and thinks it's totally cool to get to greet someone with a handshake like that, instead of just being treated like a useless kid or something.] Anyway, I guess it's not your fault that everything else here seems like it's super weird.
no subject
[ There are no such things as useless kids... just ones that are ruder than others. Looking at you, Damian Wayne. ]
I guess not, but I still wish it was easier on you. My own arrival was pretty tame. There was a significant lack of false charges.
no subject
[well, it's enough to sufficiently distract her. though maybe that's because when she says it like that, it sounds like a secret identity.
without the secret part, because she just said it, but elle can toss that aside. good job totally distracting the child from the bigger issue for a couple of minutes.] It kinda sounds like a superhero name or something. Like in a show, you know?
[not any show she's seen specifically, but still.]
no subject
[ So.
Exactly like a superhero. ]
no subject
[she's shocked... and impressed. that's so cool! not that she's ever seen those comics or anything, but she at least gets that it's not the same as where she's from.] So, do you like... fight evil bad guys and stuff? Like... pow pow!
[sunscreen rangers sound effects are totally valid here.]
no subject
[ She's even punching her fist into her palm, making a similar noise to... whatever KRAKKKK!! is supposed to be. ]
The 'fight evil bad guys' thing is right.
no subject
[never mind the fact that her friends have saved worlds, punched god and whatnot. that's totally different.]
no subject
I keep hearing that... there are so many of us back home that I'm used to everyone knowing about them.
[ She refuses to think of them in a past tense, no matter what she was told. She can save them, regardless of if she goes with what Ceres says or not.
So it's definitely "there are" instead of "there were"
no subject
I guess that's what it's like where you're from, huh. Superheroes and stuff everywhere to save the day from the bad guys... [she's thinking hard about this. it sounds so cool in theory... more places should have stuff like that to deal with things like terrorists and other scary beings, okay.]
I've only ever seen that kinda stuff on TV.
no subject
I'm sure there are heroes in your world. They probably just don't go by silly names or wear costumes.
