![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Yeah, but aren't firearms the way of the future or something? I'm not volunteering to get filled with bullets or anything, but it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
[ . . . ]
Though I guess a lot of this in general doesn't make sense to me.
[Like why is the thing he's fighting made out of metal? How does it move? He's questioning all of this but more importantly trying to defend his life.
Though so far it doesn't look like he's done anything to permanently damage the robot either. Softie.]

he doesn't really like it though, even if it does mean getting the semblance of peace he was technically fighting for. probably not the most important thing, as he watches on and sees that it's not down yet.]
You'll be going for a while if you keep at it like that. It's a machine, you know... it won't feel pain if you just take it out quickly. Besides, it probably won't stop until you're dead, anyway. [there'll be time for explanations later. first comes being an antagonistic pain and bad influence, obviously.]

But no one else should have swords, he thought - considering the ban from the government. How strange.
Though he's distracted from that thought at the idea that he should take out the machine quickly and he's rather alarmed-]
Are you telling me to kill it?
[It's not as if he doesn't have the skill to do it, considering how easily he ducks and dodges the next few strikes even as he continues to carry on conversation with Souji. Still, he can't really condone the idea of striking this thing down so easily, even if he's not sure what it is is.]
It's moving around on its own...!
[So doesn't that mean it has some sort of autonomy? He can't just "take it out" if that's the case....]
no subject
[quite frankly, if tenka doesn't destroy it, souji absolutely will. he's got no qualms with doing that, since the bot is proving to be a hassle. it's a little unfair to the seemingly new arrivals, isn't it?
not that souji can be positive they all are, but he's pretty good at remembering faces, and none of the ones on the screens were ones he recognized. well, not from here, at least. but that's neither here nor there.]
It probably won't stop until you're dead, so unless you want to be the sacrifice, you out to. [although he could easily propose a deal. and he does as his hand reaches for the hilt of his larger sword, gripping it but not yet drawing.] Unless you're too much of a bleeding heart. I can easily finish the job if you won't. These things have to go, anyway... they're too troublesome.

... but apparently this thing isn't alive. This thing doesn't have a family or feelings and that's what lets him steel his resolve a bit, though he's still not feeling 100% about it. He hates the idea of killing, but can you really kill something that isn't entirely alive or has its own free will?]
No. [That much is firm.] I can take care of it.
[Hence why in the next moment he'd stepping back to dodge a blow, proceeding to throw a punch at the robot and breaking through the steel. Once inside - and ow, that actually stings a bit - Tenka just clenches a fist around the circuitry and pulls. Sparks fly and he kicks the heap away from him now and unclenches his fist, letting the broken wires and such fall from his grasp.
... then he's sighing, a little tired at the idea that he caused something to stop moving, and looking back at Souji. By then he already has a careful smile in place.]
Good enough for you?
no subject
[he claps a little, a bit amused by the show. really, it would have been fun to get a blow of his own in, but the fact that tenka actually followed through is satisfying enough. he wasn't sure the guy would actually do it, given hos visible reluctance.
but really, souji doesn't see it as necessary. they don't feel; they're built, and likely so by the strange corporation that seems to be responsible for their being there at all. it's hard for him to feel any sort of remorse for that, and he thinks it's better to work that into a newbie's head straight away. it makes the later betrayals a lot easier to deal with, after all.]
It doesn't look like it'll be the last of them tonight, so it's better to get used to it now. For all we know, they've got thousands hidden away.
no subject
Get used to it, ah...? [He's going to glance over at the fallen heap of metal again before sighing.] What a strange thing to adapt to.
[It honestly makes him curious because-] How long have you been here to have already come to accept this? If the sword you're carrying means anything, I'm going to guess our hometowns probably aren't too different.
no subject
[which is very much so true. in reality, there's a lot about this he's not used to, though. the technology itself flies pretty far over his head; even if he's getting used to things like flashy electronics and kitchen conveniences, there's still so much he doesn't understand and isn't sure he wants to understand.
of course, there's also a lot of this that he understands for reasons well beyond the technology. maybe too far, if some people were to be asked. but souji remains casual about the whole thing. even when these things bother him... well, it's not as if he's about to reveal his hand to a stranger, even if he's a pathetically nice one.]
You could say I have some other experiences that fit the bill, though. Not everything as as simple as it seems... even if our hometowns may really be very similar.
