![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |
np!!
Tenka, then... My name is Nagumo Kaoru. [Accompanied with a shallow bow, since formality is Important.] Though I wish the circumstances weren't so poor, it's still a pleasure to meet you. [At least the smile that follows is a little more friendly-looking!
The explanation of Shiga is met with a look of understanding, though, since luckily it's not like they decided to rename the lake.] Ah... Omi Province? I've been there before; it's not terribly far from my home. It's very- [WET] -...cozy. I must admit that I was never able to stay for long, though.
[And then there's rather sunny-looking smile, which is a clear indication that Kaoru seems to agree. Working together is caring or something, right??]
I'm very glad that you share the same sentiment. Adjusting to life here can be very difficult, so needless arguments or misunderstandings are better off avoided, I believe. [...] But if you're curious... Have you passed any clothing stores in the shopping district yet? The faceless things modeling clothing in the windows are mannequins.

[friendly.
anyway, the recognition does get him to blink a little bit. Yeah, it's Omi Province but... completely renamed... so he's just tilting his head in response.] Ah, that's the one. Though I guess it's been... renamed a bit since. [ . . . Though he shakes that off before smiling brightly in return.] Where are you from exactly, Kaoru-chan?
{maybe that'll answer his questions a bit better. he just doesn't want to be so direct as to 'when are you from' because that sounds like a very weird question, doesn't it?]
So I was... messing around with those faceless things? [and honestly his face just twists into one of disgust-] That's just gross. They couldn't come up with better fake crimes?

At least it's brief, since the question is distracting. Kaoru's been wandering around in jamjar land long enough to understand that "when" and "where" sometimes mean the same thing.]
I come from Tosa, Tenka-san. [LESS FRIENDLY than Tenka's familiar form of address, but still accompanied by a certain amount of warmth.] Though I suppose that it may also have a different name where you're from...? [Which is said with a questioning lilt and an inquisitive tilt of the head. Kaoru seems to be taking the possibility well, at least.
And then it's Round 2 of pretending not to laugh as Kaoru observes Tenka's reaction...]
It seems that all of the crimes your group has been accused of are just as nonsensical. Yours is particularly crass, but no one will believe such things.

Though at the question, Tenka blinks and tilts his head. Hmm. Tosa from the time that Shiga was previously Omi-] I think that's Kochi these days! [If his studies have taught him well and they probably have.] I haven't gotten the chance to go over there myself but I'd definitely like to. Not much of a chance to travel besides when I'm called to boring parties and all that.
[Stuff he lacks interest in- but well, Kaoru can try not to laugh but now Tenka definitely is.]
Ha! Well, if people can have a laugh over my crass crime and it doesn't hurt my reputation that much, then I figure it's not too bad.

Kochi? My... What an ambitious-sounding name. [Kaoru prefers Tosa, but at least realizes that it's probably just a preference of longevity. Being stuck with one name for 20+ years makes it difficult to accept a change!]
I would suggest that you visit when you get the chance, if things are still the same in your time as they are in mine. It's a very pleasant area... You can go boating or fishing or swimming in the sea, and the beaches are all enjoyable. [There is also a distinct lack of boring parties to attend!! Win-win.]
Tenka-san has a very agreeable way of viewing things, it seems... But I do hope for your sake that this will be the only incident of this nature that you will need to face.

Hah, that sounds a lot better than what we've got in Lake Biwa. Not much boating happening there besides the ferry. I imagine the skies over Tosa are pretty clear a lot of the year? [Seeing as he can't quite remember the last time he got to see a clear sky.
Though he honestly just shrugs.]
It bothers me less than it's bound to bother other people, I figure. But hopefully it's a mistake that won't happen again regardless. I hope you've managed to avoid such accidents so far, Kaoru-chan?

They are, yes. We can get tropical storms in the summers, but outside of that, the weather is very kind to us. [Those typhoons, though...
But boating aside, the question earns him a nod.] That's correct. All of the groups to arrive after the first have suffered through some kind of poor fortune, but mine was able to make it through relatively unscathed.
[Except for the burgers...]
