![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Since the Miranda warning apparently doesn't apply (not that it'd make much of a difference when it comes to executioners without the emotional capacity for remorse or human empathy), he whips his head back up to gauge the spanning coast with a near-feverish anxiety, the bite of exertion obstinately stuck between both ribs. It's only after a good seven minutes pass that he relents to shouldering his weight against a wall, momentarily closing his eyes with the movement. ]
... Okay. But I think we should still be on guard, just in case.
[ Finally sated with a few more wild gulps of air, he appraises
his fellow conspiratorthe hapless bystander with an expression grazing mild sheepishness. ] Do you have any idea where we should go, then?no subject
And then the waiting starts and stretches on, because Kaoru is certainly not going to interrupt the moments of silence that this boy clearly needs. One can say "it's fine, it's fine" until they turn blue in the face and it still wouldn't be enough reassurance to some, so Elliot will have to garner that reassurance on his own. Once the seven minutes have passed, Kaoru's posture relaxes just a little - it's a minute change, more for comfort than anything.]
You aren't wrong. [About keeping guard, that is. The hugbot may not be interested in pursuit, but the murderdroids sure are.
A soft smile is offered for the question, though.] Away from the most crowded areas, but not so far out that you would make an easy target... [After a second of thought:] There's a cafe in town with a reading nook away from the storefront, by the fireplace. I don't think any of those creatures would look for you there.

Of course it wasn't wrong. [ SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE DUNCE.
Elliot pulls off the knotted travesty passing for a kerchief from his neck, disentangling it in two fluid strokes, wadding it into his left pocket. He'd retie it, but Nightray left that duty to Leo out of reverent esteem for his valet and not because he doesn't know how to handle himself without the help of a legal guardian/live-in babysitter, thank you very much — !
Kaoru will get one (1) flickering gaze of disbelief, however, for the mention of reading nook. She couldn't possibly know what an insufferable dork he was when it came to books from the complacent grin pulling up at the corners of his mouth. No doubt about it. ]
Oh. If it isn't too bothersome for you, I wouldn't mind if you lead the way.

But saintly patience, that's not incorrect!! And so Kaoru will shoulder Elliot's... Elliot-like behavior. The self-assuredness is a little surprising; bold people are few and far between. The reaction to the reading nook is also unexpected, considering there are generally more important things to be worrying about and that tends to consume thoughts so quickly that the little pleasures in life are left behind.
If Elliot wants to go to the reading nook, though, Kaoru's more than happy to lead the way.]
It isn't a very large distance from here. Please stay behind me, then... [Since of the two of them, Kaoru is the one who knows the alleys better! Which will show very quickly since there's no hesitation between saying that and setting off, like the location of the shop from any direction has been memorized.]
