![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Plus, this would be a really shitty afterlife. Dying at seventeen then spending his time as a dead person being chased by a robot... plus, his feet are all cut and bleeding, which really shouldn't be happening if he was dead. ]
It's still not possible! I get that technically we all died and they can download the dead or whatever, but I just don't see how they can.
[ It upends his understanding of life in general. How can they be reduced to errant bits of code? ]
They didn't even really explain it that much. Just said all our worlds were destroyed, and we're what they could recover. Is that really all there is to it?

Maybe a lot of people are wearing the proper contact lenses to see us, or got a rise in spiritual energy.
[ He doesn't feel that much of an unusual level in spiritual energy, though. Not in quantity, or in quality. It should be more obvious if that was the case. ]
Times change quickly, anyway. Who says it has to be impossible or even difficult to download people. You never watch shows like that?
[ Then he shrugs because really, he didn't have a proper answer to that question. ] It's impossible to see everything there is to anything.

[ Which blows that theory out of the water completely, but it doesn't stop him from leaning over to give him a better look at his eyes so he gets that he's not lying here. ]
And no, I've never heard of anyone downloading people off some network like they're computer files. If that's all we are, then wouldn't that make everything meaningless??
[ He refuses to believe that. There has to be some sense of purpose to their creation. The people he's around -his friends, family, and teammates- they're too important to him to be random bits of code. ]
Besides, if they were all destroyed and we're the only ones... then what really happened to everyone else? They can't just be gone like that! I want to know who got attacked them1
[ No, they have to be somewhere. Rin can't be dead or trapped in this place forever. He has to find his way back to them no matter what. ]

[ Just looking to be sure but it sure seems he indeed isn't wearing any contacts.
What sort of shows does the living watch, anyway. ]
I dunno, if they can give ghosts bodies, why can't they transfer minds too?
[ Granted, it was just like possession. ]
But we also don't have the details, so there's nothing we can be sure of. Lying to us would be way too easy, since we can't ascertain the facts.

[ Which is frightening if he really thinks about it. What if he were to find his father or anyone else that passed away? This is the last place he'd want to reunite with them. The whole thing gives him a bad feeling, and he doesn't know what to make of talking to the undead here and now.
For what it's worth... this guy is at least relatively normal for someone without a pulse. He doesn't look particularly harmful or creepy outside of taking down a robot so easily like that. He wasn't aiming to get on his bad side to begin with, but if he ever needed convincing, that moment a few minutes ago would be it. ]
And just what are we supposed to do until we leave? Actually follow those jobs they gave us while they send more of those things to kill us? I'm not doing it. Where's the nearest police station? I'll clear this mess up right now.
[ He doesn't want to remain on any wanted lists for the time being especially for such an embarrassing crime. Is he ever going to live it down? ]
no subject
Doubt me if you want, it's not my job to convince you of the truth.
[ Actually is sort of is, but it's too bothersome if someone has decided to not believe it, so he'll just let it be.
But he's one of the more normal ones out of the teacher bunch from Sheol--in a way; him and his dad are both equally weird and obnoxious, according to some. ]
The killing robots will be taken care of, since they're not exactly supposed to be doing that. Although I doubt that the people in charge of this place will take care of them--we'll just have to take them out by ourselves instead. Otherwise, yes, we're supposed to work or whatever suits our age group. If there is a police here, I doubt they'll be any useful.

Are they going to bother taking them out before or after they complete their objective?! We don't have that kind of time here!
[ And he's starting to get annoyed that he's apparently the only one really worried about this. Screw caring about the job at the moment. How's he going to work if he's missing a limb? ]
I don't get those guys. How is working some dumb job even supposed to restore all these destroyed worlds?
[ Unless he was the only one that got a bunch of crappy options based on his 'aptitude.' Whatever test they used has to be flawed. It's obvious what his future career is. ]

Hopefully before, it depends on how many people here knows how to fight and how many'll just hide.
[ Speaking of hiding, he probably needs to go find that scared spirit... Rasu-san really did get freaked out way too easily. ]
They haven't given us the details, but perhaps it's to let us get accustomed to the shit they play.

[ They're clearly giving him too little credit here. On top of that, they're trying to bribe him into compliance. It's obviously not working. He's feeling anything but at ease or compliant here, but this guy doesn't seem to be as troubled about the details.
Shouldn't the whole not being dead anymore freak him out, or does he still think he's dead here? Rin can't figure out what he must believe or whatever is going on behind his eyes, but it's none of his business to pry that deeply. ]
Either way, I should be on my way to whatever this card opens. You saved me, though ...
[ He cups the back of his own neck for a moment, still feeling thankful about that even if this guy is pretty weird. ]
I'm Matsuoka Rin, by the way. In case we run into each other. Dead or not, I still owe you for that.
no subject
[ He shrugs. Here, in this place, it's not really his job to help people calm down over hopeless or sucky situations. ]
Yeah, I should too. I have to pick my subordinate up from work, anyway.
[ And he nods in recognition of the name. ]
Midou Hokuto. And it's fine, or whatever, it wasn't living in the first place, so it's not like it's a bother or anything. [ Not much of a bother, at least. But yeah, if it had been an actual person, then Hokuto would not have fried it. It was sort of against the rules to kill, for the Sheol staff. ]
