![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

He hadn't seen them anywhere during the earlier escapade nor has his phone been going off, but he doesn't have any service here anyway. It's unlikely he'll be able to call them any time soon, so he has to look for alternatives. Those people are his main priority at the moment. ]
I don't need any of that right now. I just want to know how I can find people if I have to. There has to be some kind of listing or maybe on that device they gave us... Can I use that?
[ There has to be at least an internet connection in this place with all the technology they have, so maybe he can just send them e-mails. It's better than nothing. ]
Would it reach all the way to Japan from here? What planet is this place even on?
[ Because he's still not 100% sure he's been transported to another world or how that's even possible at the moment. ]

Tellus, I think. [That information had registered as relatively inconsequential to him, so he hasn't really prioritized it. It's not a difficult name to remember, at least. That said:]
You can contact them if they're here, though. They'll have a CereVice just like yours. [He reaches into his pocket again at that, pulling his own out.] You can just add people to your contact list or look for pictures that you recognize... Things like that. I don't think calling their cell number will actually connect with them from here, but it isn't hard to find out who's in the city and who isn't. I'll show you.
[Cue leaning over to show where on the device the contact lists can be found!]

Okay, okay. I got it. It's not that hard. We got stuff like this where I'm from.
[ He pockets the device after scrolling through, deciding he'll fiddle around with it later and look more thoroughly. It'll take quite a while to scour through this. ]
You find anyone from your own world on this thing? Or did you come here on your own, too?
[ He doesn't know if he'll find solace knowing he's not the only one, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Right now, he's still trying to accept this place as his new reality and not freak out entirely. ]
no subject
[It's kind of nice, not having to explain technology to someone from a time before cars were even a thing... So he'll leave the explanation at that, refocusing on the question soon after.]
I didn't find anyone. It seems like I'm the only person that they decided to drag here... Which makes sense! [Considering he's GOD AND ALL in his own mind, but hey, that's the important part.
That said, with the way he's talking, it's clear he's taken the whole "your planet has been destroyed" thing with a grain of salt. For good reason, too, considering an entire afterlife seems like it'd be harder to destroy, and it's not like CERES has been trustworthy.]
no subject
How does that make sense? That's not something that just happens everyday unless there's something you're not telling me.
[ Something big from the sounds of it. Rin wonders if he really wants to know, but if he's going to be sharing a space with this guy, it's better he learn sooner than later.
His finger pokes him hard in the chest, obviously pushing him into talking more. ]
What is it?
no subject
[Which is the crazy nutbar part of the explanation, but Naoi will also add something a little more useful after that.]
This isn't the first time something like this has happened to me, either. The arrival was different last time, but it's the same sort of thing. A containment area filled with different people from different worlds... What those people said at first turned out to be as far from the truth as possible.
[So, as his logic follows, CERES probably can't be trusted either.]

-a god?! You can't be serious! You look like you a high school student like me!!
[ The poking turns into a sudden grab of Naoi's lapels, yanking him forward while Rin tries to look for any signs of divinity. Honestly, this guy looks so incredibly normal that it's just too hard to swallow. ]
I don't see it. There's no way you're a god! Why would someone with omnipotent powers like that even let themselves get kidnapped twice??
[ Surely, he could have just waved his hand a little and stopped it? What's the point of being a god if you don't get all the powers and perks with it? ]
no subject
Of course I look like a high school student! Everyone looks like one where I come from! [High school of the actual dead...
He also totally does not have a good answer for the "why were you kidnapped then" question, and he's finding he's no less prepared to come up with one on the fly than he had been months ago when it was first asked. SO, SOME INDIGNANT SPUTTERING HAPPENS INSTEAD.]
There are some things that can even defeat a god, you know— But not forever! Even the mightiest powers can only do so much to keep something with a lot of strength down.
no subject
Just great.
At least, he's armed and was nice enough to save him. Rin hasn't forgotten that quite yet, so he decides to drop the matter and accept whatever weird explanation Naoi believes. ]
Just- forget it. If you're stuck here with me, then it doesn't matter what you are. It only matters that we get out of here, so from now on, you can count on me, got it?
[ He gives him a light nudge on his shoulder with his fist, face relaxing into a less aggravated expression. ]
Now, how about you point me to some place to eat? I don't plan on being chased around any more on any empty stomach.
no subject
But he seems satisfied enough with that response, if a little flustered. What is camaraderie?? Being the undead equivalent of a porcupine means he isn't very used to this sort of thing.]
—Well... [CLEARS HIS THROAT.] Then you can naturally count on me, too! I've been here so long that my knowledge might as well be used by other people. [He says, like he's doing Rin some great favor here... This is just his kneejerk reaction to feeling vaguely embarrassed.]
But if it's places to eat you want, I can show you to pretty much any one you could think of. Sandwiches, pizza, sushi bars - whatever! But if you're going to keep your strength up, you should probably head to one of these...
[As he talks, he leans over to snatch up a pad of paper and pencil that's set out on the table for things like cleaning reminders and grocery lists, and starts to sketch out a rudimentary map with store names.]
