![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Ah, yeah, I'm fine.
[He looks at Sousei and wonders if he ought to be talking to him while he's mid-fight.] Do you need a hand?
no subject
But honestly, he has already figured out that this thing isn't human, and while he can kill humans, he'd rather not if the situation doesn't call for it. But if this thing isn't one at all (somehow), then it's not even a problem.
It'd be a sad state of affairs if he had to involve a civilian in a battle like this. So in answer, instead of verbally, he steps forward, easily sidestepping one of the robot's attempts to grab him--and then, in an easy, fluent motion, he swings his sword around, neatly decapitating the droid.
It crumples, and he lowers his sword, frowning slightly at the mechanical parts.]
... I didn't intend to involve others. [Sorry about that.] But this seems to have worked, whatever this is.
no subject
It's all right, [no harm done!! Hinata frowns at the robot.]
This is... one of the robots? Androids? I've never seen this kind, though, and not armed like that. [He lifts the katana in his hand, looking over to Sousei, taking him in curiously now.]
no subject
Still, Sousei has no interest in the katana, if only because he has his own katana, which is now neatly sheathed at his side. The rest of his uniform, however, is likely a bit archaic, with a distinct military flair. Still, he's both glad that Hinata is unharmed and unbothered by the situation, and...that he seems to know more about it.]
It seems as though this is an unusual situation. [He's assuming, at this point, that not everyone enters this place as wanted criminals.
Lucky him.]
These aren't human, then? [He'd thought not, and the lack of blood made it obvious, but it still makes it much easier to deal with them.]
no subject
It is... you and some other people were all over everything earlier, saying you're criminals. I don't get it...unless it has something to do with that "gorg0n".
[Hinata shakes his head in disbelief. He's assuming he's part of some new arrivals, and turns now to crouch by the droid. Don't mind that he's just going to... investigate this a bit...]
This is a machine. An android. It's made out of metal and wires and other stuff by people. There are a lot here, each built for a different purpose, but they're completely different from people. They don't have... autonomy. [But he sounds a little unsure here. After all, Nanami's her own person, and she's an AI.]
no subject
Regardless, he just sighs shortly, near-silently.]
I see. I am not a criminal, though you may decide the validity of that for yourself. [Sousei doesn't think any of them are criminals, but... well, you never know.]
no subject
[Hinata shrugs one of his shoulders lightly. Not for this, at least. Not if they just got here, goodness no. He leans down to look over that android some more and he seems particularly interested in its armour...]
There's no evidence for it at all.
[There's been no investigation or a class trial; someone get this city in line.]
no subject
It was a threat, and now it's neutralized. That's what matters.]
That is true. [A sigh, soft and barely audible. He and his crew would never move without evidence, but very few people think that way. Ah well. He'll take what comes.
More importantly--] My name is Abe no Sousei. And your name?
[sorry about the hella archaic naming convention.]
no subject
Hinata Hajime. Just Hinata is fine.
Er, what would be best to...? [When in doubt with archaic naming conventions, ask!!]
no subject
It does not matter what you call me. [Most people call him "captain", which Hinata will not do, or "Sousei-san" and the like. It's not like he has any attachment to his family name, claiming it as his own aside, and so--]
Sousei is fine.
[Hinata, though...Hinata Hajime is a Japanese name as well, which is something worth noting, he thinks. Though clearly not...from a place he recognizes, with those clothes...? Hm.]
You are from Japan?
no subject
[And he'll nod once more at the question.]
That's right... though it might be a different, er, time from yours. Maybe even a different one altogether.
[Alternate worlds...]
no subject
It would seem so. It doesn't seem as though questioning it will help much at this point.
[He doesn't really understand any of it, but...well, he's seen some weird things, and he didn't completely ignore the explanation they gave him here, though he's not sure he believes all of it either.]
Nonetheless, that is worth knowing. [Hinata's Japanese, and Sousei's focus is on protecting his country. By extension, the means he should probably keep an eye out for Hinata too.]
no subject
[It's sometimes a pain...
But oh no Sousei that's too cool and too nice.]
no subject
I see.
[...people from...your homes....from different times....
... ... .......wait. The thought strikes him suddenly, and he stiffens a little, because he's seen Tenka's face on that screen, and--]
...Wait. Even if they've died? [This is asked about as urgently as he ever asks anything...so it's still said pretty evenly, ah well.]
no subject
...Yeah. Even if they've died. Usually, they'll come from before that, so they don't even remember dying. Or at the moment of...
[So then they do remember...
Everything is complicated...]
no subject
If he's here, so what? He's still a traitor, and still someone who allowed himself to be executed rather than trying to come up with a better solution by being clear and honest--
(He's still his friend, and he's still dead.)]
... I can't say I entirely understand. [How people can come back from the dead.] But I believe you. That is...valuable information. [Mostly because of Tenka's picture, but you know, Hinata seems dependable too.]
no subject
I'm... yeah, I'm not sure how it happens either, but...
[It's a thing!] Would there be someone you're looking for?
no subject
...Kumou Tenka is...familiar to me.
[But it can probably be derived from the previous question that Sousei very much thinks he should probably be dead.]
no subject
[Hinata hums in realisation.]
...I've had a few of my friends who were supposed to be, well... gone... show up. It's a shock at first. But it's not a bad chance. [But he won't presume Sousei's circumstances, so he shakes his head with a faint smile.] Something like that.
no subject
Maybe it doesn't really matter, though, if it's just a trick of this place.
Regardless, he simply straightens, expression as flat and calm as ever, tone even.]
Perhaps. That is less important at the moment, however.
[There are assassinbots and intergalactic kidnappings to worry about.]
no subject
[He glances around before he moves for that droid from before... he's nabbing the katana sheath, popping the sword into it before shifting to hold it in one hand.]
One of those in wondering how the hell you guys ended up painted as criminals, and how many more of these robots there might be...
no subject
...Though it was no match for me, it is clear that this...robot was a highly skilled opponent. It is likely that they sent a small, skilled task force, rather than a larger, more conspicuous force.
[So probably not too many.
The question of how they were painted as criminals is something that doesn't even seem necessary to Sousei; clearly, that's just the outcome of incompetence.
...really, really bad incompetence.]
no subject
Maybe this is their secret weapon or their special security group... or something like that.
[Assassins! In that case, how strong is their military power? But they're relying on robots, that can be manipulated to turn against them.
...hahhhhh this is a terrible set-up.]
I... wonder why they use katanas instead of guns.
no subject
[In his time, even, guns are overtaking swords, though there are those like him who can use swords well enough to deal with guns anyway.
But in this time...
Well, he finds it hard to believe that swords were their best choice.]
...I suppose I should not question stupidity when it is in my favor. [He's glad he's not full of bullet holes!! And he's a much better swordsman than these droids are.]
no subject
[It really is stupid but hey he supposes...?]
Have you used a sword for a long time?
[All right he knows there's danger and assassinbots and stuff but he can totes ask a few questions about this guy, right? Right. Mini free time.]
