![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |
OTA
[Ruby's brain was still spinning from the information that had been dumped on her before being pushed out into the city. Once there, her primary goal was doing a quick inventory check. Crescent Rose? Check. Ammo? Check. Headphones? Check.]
[Ruby quickly pulled her headphones from the pouch on her hip and placed them over her ears, allowing her music to provide some sort of familiarity as she wandered aimlessly, trying to make sense of what had happened. She was so lost in thought she didn't even notice the accusations being thrown at her. No, she was too busy thinking to realize she was accused of cleaning droids in an underground porn ring.]
Phase II
[It was between songs that Ruby began to notice her face - and Yang's and Integra's - faces on the various screens. She had stopped to try and figure out what was going on. Criminals? Wanted dead or alive? That couldn't be right. Yang and Integra wouldn't do anything to break a law, and she hadn't been there long enough.]
[She took off her headphones, glancing both ways down the street she was on, trying to decide what to do when she saw the flash of steel headed for her face. Of course, the blade didn't find purchase, just a cloud of rose petals as Ruby's confusion turned to intrigue.]
Oooh... you look like something Atlas might produce...
[She continued to dodge the attacks, bursting into rose petals each time as she poked and prodded the assassin droid until finally she decided to defend herself.]
I really hate doing this... I'd love to get to know you better, but, if you're going to keep attacking me, I can't just... let you.
[With a few flourishes, Crescent Rose was unfolded and the scythe held at the ready for any further attacks.]
phase ii;
he ponders intervening directly, but at this point he'd probably just be getting in the way. ]
You don't need to go easy on it.
[ in fact, it's probably better that she not. while she definitely seems like she can handle her own, there's no doubt these things are out to kill. ]
phase ii;
Wasn't planning on it.
[She pulls a trigger on the scythe, causing a small explosion from the barrel of the rifle, launching her forward and with an elegant and lightning fast spin, she had sliced the robot clean in two at the chest.]

[ he just kind of stares, not entirely sure what he just witnessed... he'd already moved for his own weapons, wondering if he might need to help, but releases them since that's clearly not necessary. ]
That works too.
no subject
Yeah, I'm a Huntress in training, so, this sort of thing is like homework to me.
[She shuffles a little awkwardly, fidgeting with Crescent Rose.]
...I'm Ruby, by the way.
no subject
[ though okay, they usually don't go around with giant mechanical scythes either, so maybe hunting is a lot more hardcore wherever it is she comes from. ]
I'm Ludger. [ ruby? that does sound familiar for some... oh, right. ] I think I met your sister earlier. [ ...she really wasn't kidding when she said her little sister could take care of herself. ]
no subject
[She perks up at the mention of her sister.]
You met Yang? [That means she's okay. Sigh of relief.]
Good, she's okay... I mean, I knew she could handle these robots no problem, I just... I'm rambling... Nice to meet you, Ludger.
no subject
[ well okay, that does explain a lot. ]
I did. When I saw her, she was fighting one of these things too. She had about as much trouble with it as you did... I guess that runs in the family.
no subject
[She's rambling again, isn't she?]
Yeah, our parents were all hunters, so... yeah. We had great teachers at home. But yeah, she wouldn't have any trouble with these guys. We fought tougher enemies our first day of school.
no subject
[ he can at least sort of put this together based on what yang told him... or at least, try to. ]
...your school sounds pretty intense. [ he knows these droids aren't too dangerous, but they aren't exactly complete pushovers. ] Is everyone at your school that strong?
no subject
[She nods a bit.]
We have to be. We're training to fight the Creatures of Grimm, beasts that have only one goal; to destroy everything connected to humans and Faunus.
no subject
[ he's not entirely sure what a grimm or a faunus is, but... its still easy enough to figure out the big picture from what she said. ]
I guess you'll be right at home here then.
no subject
Yeah.. home... [She shakes her head, pushing that stuff about end of the world across multiple universes out of her head and forcing a smile.]
Thanks.
no subject
[ he knows how that is. that's pretty much his job too... albeit slightly more complicated. ]
Things aren't usually this hectic. Crazy assassin robots wandering around trying to kill you isn't... normal. [ a pause. ] Well, it hasn't been until now. I'm hoping this isn't something we need to get used to.
no subject
Yeah, that would make things a little... nerve wracking I guess. I personally wouldn't mind, just because.. y'know, it'd help with my training and stuff... but yeah, having them go after people that can't fight back is not a good thing.
no subject
At least this time things are easy enough to understand. Killer robots are easier to handle than a virus or some strange disease. [ hopefully he's not jinxing himself... again. ]
no subject
[That enthusiastic nod loses some of its steam though.]
...yeah, I'm not... so great with viruses or diseases. But, I'll do what I can.
no subject
[ a pause. ] For some reason, I get a feeling that the answer to this gorgon thing will involve the same thing. [ the solution to everything is violence. ]
Phase II
Ruby. While she was well aware the girl had a habit of getting into trouble, she doubted the girl would intentionally break the law. As for Mr. Edgeworth, his 'crime' (as trivial as she found it) hardly surprised her. Children's tv shows, really? Nonetheless, she wanders the streets in search of them. She can already tell this city is much more dangerous than the last they had occupied. In a way - to her - it was interesting.
It isn't until she sees one of the droids charging in Ruby's direction she unsheathes her blade, making a swift incision that tears into some of the flimsier metal; knocking it to the ground.]
Are you alright, Ruby?
[While we're at it, let's be certain to light up a cigar. 'Cause, that's exactly what you do in these situations: smoke.]
no subject
Sir Integra!
[Ruby quickly closes the distance, lodging the point of the scythe in the robot's back, effectively pinning it to the ground, before running up to Integra. It took all her self control to keep from just hugging the woman, but she did grab Integra's hand and shook it enthusiastically.]
no subject
It was hard to put Edgeworth out of her mind, though. Knowing how inept he was in combat, Integra couldn't help but at least feel concerned for the poor sod.
Joke's on her.She casts her gaze downward upon the girl, mildly relieved.]When I saw your face broadcast around the town, I couldn't help but to rush out looking for you. Though I see you have matters wrapped up here. [She emits a soft chuckle.] Have you discovered anything so far?
no subject
Yeah, I was going to come looking for you and Yang myself. Did you ever meet Yang in Ruby City?
[She shakes her head at the question though.] Only that this place is just as crazy as Ruby City, if not more so...
