[ Once everyone arrives at the agreed meeting area, the CERES Metro-rail Station at the Residential District, Yata briefs the group on what to do. As discussed in the citywide meeting yesterday, the group will split into six teams that were decided by drawing lots. Everyone should know who they're teamed up with by now. Yata's instructions are simple enough: don't work alone (buddy system!), and if anyone finds anything, report to him. Should the missing arrivals be found, don't wait on anyone's orders. Yata admits that he's not smart enough to call the shots, but if he found who they were looking for, he believes that taking action should be the team's first priority. Anyone is free to protest, but he won't go back on his word.

Then he makes a special shout out to Hiccup and Toothless because look look guys it's a dragon how cool is that okay back to business.

By 9:15 AM, all teams should be on the move! ]

Oz is of more interest, honestly, for being a perky genki sparkly kid who Sousei needs to stay far away from. He's allergic.]

Perhaps they should focus more on damage control. They have caused plenty of problems by not being prepared.

but back to the main point at hand. she's not entirely sure what this mission is about aside from looking for people; at least she managed to glean that much from his enthusiastic text the other day. but what they look like and other identifiable descriptors are unsurprisingly not provided. not that she thinks this is a bad idea mind, it does give her an excuse to scope out the tech district better at least.

so despite sousei's buzzkill demeanor, she heads on over anyway, tapping out a message on her device. she gives his shoulder a light tap before showing him the screen. ]

I'm sorry to interrupt. Do you have any suggestions on where we should start looking?

[ better to do something than just standing around right. ]

[Well, at least she's polite about it. He glances at her in some surprise, even if it doesn't show on his face (she's... very far out of the ordinary, but he's familiar enough with the supernatural to be able to tell when someone isn't quite human), and then he reads her message.

Considering he had to communicate just like this a little while ago because he was deaf, he can't begrudge her that either, so his first order of business is--]

Should I communicate with you verbally or through writing?

[First order of business is making sure that they can communicate properly and clearly.]

[Then if it doesn't bother her, he'll keep speaking; after all, despite how he's gotten a bit more practiced at texting, he knows it's less efficient for him than it is for her.]

We are searching for any who may have been brought here this month, but there would surely be a commotion if they were here.

[instead, everything is quiet...so he doubts they're missing anyone here. Still, it's not a total loss.]

[Apparently Team Tech somehow attracted several buzzkills – Shun certainly isn't about to look anything beyond utterly irritated by this whole affair either. How did he end up get dragged into this in first place; it's a mystery maybe even to him. He doesn't have anyone he has any interest in 'rescuing' from CERES after all – the only person taken he actually can claim to know is the Academia brat and well.

The brat's whereabouts and well-being are the least of Shun's concern.

Given the buildings located in the District he has been shuffled into, he figures there might be the chance of finding something at least. In any case, he does have his duel disk out and fastened to his left arm, even if it isn't activated just yet.

He doesn't really expect to get any trouble just yet – not until he initiates it himself – but he definitely feels safer with it.]

[At some point Shun has disregarded the "buddy system" – he recognizes the merits of it; Resistance likes to work similarly after all, but there is no one in this dimension he would even remotely trust with his back – in favor of somehow climbing up on a roof that offers him a good view on the Government Center and the Research Tower, frowning faintly as he attempts to scan both of them with the scope of his duel disk, picking up on movements and heat signatures near the windows. If there is anyone – or anything – of interest to be found here... it's probably in either of those two buildings, he thinks.

The security of latter building is tight, he admits – tighter than even that of LDS had been during the weeks of his assault on them – and that while they do not seem to be facing any apparent threat, aside of alien forces of questionable existence.

He steps onto the edge of the roof (most likely fairly visible now from both above and bellow) as he tries to get a better view of the entrance security. If he declares himself an enemy of this company, he can't be quite as careless about it as he had been in Standard after all.

[OF COURSE, "looks like" is key there and the subtle emphasis implies that Oz knows it's probably not as simple as just dismissing CERES as incompetent. Even though he'd rather do that, his stint in the amusement park has left him a little more paranoid than he might otherwise be.

[annabeth's dressed for moving around, in jeans and a t-shirt and well-worn sneakers. more noticeably, she's prepared with a bone-white (literally) sword hanging from her belt, and a new york yankees cap she's folded in half and stuck into one of her pockets. which of her pockets varies, because every so often she pulls it out and worries at it with her fingers before repocketing it. if she's nervous, that's her only giveaway; she's otherwise focused and intense, clearly used to the whole sneaking around thing.

she probably fits in fairly well with team buzzkill, considering the faint frown that pulls at her lips when they manage to get into a building, and the way it deepens the further in they go.]

I agree. I actually wanted to get a better perspective of the interior layout of the research tower, if possible.

[ There's only about a 20 second delay until Ryuko finally jets her way to the top using her Senketsu Shippu form. She hasn't quite landed yet, however, still hovering around Ruby. ]
