What: Delita has... news he wants to talk about with others. Something is rotten in the state of CERES.

I.

[delita is not one for social events - that much should have been made clear by the message that he sent out.]

Please come to my apartment. 7PM. December 10th. Directions enclosed.

I believe it is important regarding our current situation.

[however, this hasn't stopped delita from at least making an attempt to make things nice. there's (premade) whatever-the-equivalent-of-chex-mix is, and some (premade) punch, and some other various foods that one associates with a party. not that he's intending for this to be a party or anything like that, but if they're going to show up there'd at least better be food, right? of some sort.

he's not cooking for 10+ people though, and honestly, nobody wants that anyway... he's a fairly bland cook. his food is made for eating, not enjoying. as people arrive, however...]

[not that there's much... there's some chairs and whatnot but it's fairly sparse. some people are gonna have to lounge against the walls all cool-like or stand or sit on the floor. he hadn't thought about making this a big presentation, just a small group.]

[once everyone's gotten themselves seated, and situatated, and as vaguely comfortable as they can, he'll begin.]

Thank you all for coming.

I know that we have been trying to gather information about CERES and what has brought us here. And as you all know - [he's assuming everyone is aware of this.] - I technically work for CERES, in security. One would think that this would put me in a position to hear things about how CERES operates or, if nothing else, how people feel about CERES.

[a brief pause.] It has not. That is what is strange, and why I have alerted you all to come here.

Any attempts I have made to address the subject are ... deflected. By everyone. I have been listening quite a bit, and it has yet to come up in conversation naturally. And when my fellow co-workers do speak the conversations tend to go in similar directions.

[this is difficult for him, just because he's not sure if he's explaining it well. it's not something that he can really figure out how to phrase.] It feels almost as if they are under a spell.

Something is not right about them. I have noticed these things in some of the people in the streets as well - not only security. A time or two, apropos of nothing, they have told me that they are "trapped", but could not or would not explain further what they meant by that.

I am not sure what steps to take next - or whether I can do so on my own - but this seems to be something that was not brought up at the previous meeting, and each person I have invited here because each of you does not seem likely to ... panic, and may have some idea as to what is happening here.

I. WAS TOTALLY NOT INVITED BUT HERE SHE IS;
[ Sooooooooooooo while Rin didn't technically receive an invitation, this sounded too juicy to ignore and so here she is with a batch of fresh baked brownies as a house warming gift. While wearing some booty shorts with an over-sized sweatshirt on top. If it was a party, then she's not showing up empty handed. If it's something else, well then she'll just act as if she knows someone. ]

That's right, So and so invited me. I forget her name... Kind of average looking? With a face that's really too plain to recall off-hand, but once you see it you recognize it? Yeah, yeah. That's right.

[ Don't mind her shoving her way indoors. Take the tupperware full of brownies, Delita, and embrace the goodness that is Archer's cooking. Will probably latch onto the first person she recognizes and act as their second cause buddy don't you remember inviting her?? Because you totally did. ]

II. EVERYTHING ELSE;
[ So either she's busted or she's given up on the act; now that it's revealed that there's an actual purpose behind this meeting, Rin's busy trying to minimize contact with the outside world. "Could we please all shove our Cerevices in the closet of the room where sound doesn't travel?", she'll ask as she holds out the bottom half of her sweater to act as a gathering apron. Ignoring her is perfectly optional, but she'll sneer the entire time about those stupid enough to make a big deal out of it. When the herd begins to thin out, she'll be banging along Delita's walls and possibly looking more crazy than ever in doing so.

When people are actually talking though? She's listening. Enjoy this rare moment where Rin Tohsaka actually values what people are saying. If she has something of interest to say, she'll speak up though she does so in a soft spoken tone in order to make it harder for recording devices to pick up.

At some point she loses the sweatshirt and ties it around her waist, sitting around in a thin strapped shirt that shows her bra. Scandalous. It's likely at those same times she's munching on the brownies she's brought with her, staring off into space. Almost as if she's speaking to someone within her head.
In short, she's a real party person

[ Delita had finished speaking at this point and it had come to Mitsuru's attention that this girl was still... staring into space and eating brownies like he was still talking or waiting for this to get over.

Well. This is kinda awkward. Mitsuru's sitting right next to her. It's with a slight nudge as if to subtly indicate that she should pay attention, that she reaches over and tries to grab one of those aforementioned brownies before they're all gone. ]

Huh? [ How quickly she turns her gaze on her indicates that she had been paying attention all along despite her focus being elsewhere. ]

What is it? You can have them if you want.

[ Even if she's already reaching over, Rin's pushing the container towards her with a foot. ]

[rin, you should have realized by now that delita isn't stupid, and that he was humoring you when he was acting dumb about baseball. delita is immediately in the way of her, because he knows exactly who was invited and that nobody on the list qualifies as that.

sorry rin. do something about the large and in charge knight currently blocking the doorway.]

Perhaps this time you ought to give me a truthful answer.

[he's not going to hit her, even though a tiny part of him wants to do that. he's... yes, he's definitely annoyed, but also curious, because that answer is far too generic to be a truthful answer, and yet she must have found out SOMEHOW.]

[ Despite being very sociable, bright, and loud, Athena is pretty bad at situations where she's not in control. Who isn't, after all? She greets Delita by yelling "HELLO AND I'M FINE!" at him upon the door being opened, her voice being extremely shaky.

Once she enters, she just secludes herself in one corner. She's likely seated one the farthest chair that was set up. If you know her, you might think she's acting weird. Then again, she's always been weird, right? ]

[ Well, okay, you told her to speak. So she'll try to talk about what she's inferred from the speech. But, just like how she was when she entered, she's absolutely nervous.

Widget's screen is purple and has a >o< face which means she's scared, but she's putting up a rather confident front. If anyone ever points out her emotions, she'd just be in total denial. ]

That actually sounds pretty scary, as if this is all from a ghost story. [ Athena, is that really all you're picking up from that? The answer is yes. ]

Maybe I can help out here. Visit the research center and try to talk to these employees. I could pick up on what's there, what's not there, or what should be there.

[ And to those who don't know about Athena's ability, it just sounds really weird to have her talk to casually like that. What is she going to pick up on? ]

[Peko's there with Good Friend Hinata, but at Athena's loud exclamation, Peko breaks away from him to approach the other girl once she's made it past Delita himself.]

[Straight... and to the point without any trace of delicacy aside from a slightly lowered voice. That's our Peko.]

[ OH god. That surprises her, and she jumps a bit. ]

Hola! Bonjour! [ Totally making good impressions here by code switching. ] N- Nothing's wrong. I'm Athena Cykes and I'm fine!

[ But her necklace seems to think differently. He decides to speak up! He sounds like a chipmunk. ]

She's really nervous.

[ And that makes Athena wince. ] Shut up, Widget!

[Okay, Peko wasn't expecting a weird voice, and in an instant, one hand is back to touch the hilt of the shinai within her bag. That it's coming from the necklace doesn't seem to occur to her; instead, she's looking for some kind of intruder. Athena's clearly not fine, but first things first.]
