![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |
Simon Blackquill | Ace Attorney | still OTA!
no subject
It is important to understand first that there are children and people who are incapable of defending themselves here. Were it only me, I might have considered more reckless action.
As it is, I will wait for an opportunity, as I am concerned as to what the backlash could be to those who don't deserve it, should ineffective and problematic action be taken.
[Elle is eight years old--he can't allow that.]
no subject
[And he has someone here that he wants to protect, too. That comes before anything else.]
Perhaps we can cooperate together in future, you and I? Our goals appear to be mutual, distant though they may be to attain for now.
no subject
[He nods simply, calm as ever. After all, they really are in this for the same reasons, and Blackquill has given him no reasons to distrust him.]
Your name?
no subject
[...Yes, he named his hawk "hawk" in Japanese. What a loser.]
And yourself?
no subject
He basically hears
"my hawk is named hawk"
And slowly, his expression flattens. Really........]
... I see.
[Taka.....]
My name is Abe no Sousei. [sorry about that archaic naming sense.]
no subject
There are a surprising number of Japanese nationals here. I wonder why that is?
no subject
[But why Japanese? He has really no idea.]
Where are you from? [West....ern, he suspects, but he can't pinpoint it any better than that.]
no subject
The year was 2027, if it makes any difference to you.

...arrival WOW THANKS BROQUILL
There are several things Blackquill might notice about this particular Edgeworth. He's younger, doesn't wear glasses, and doesn't even wear his flowing coat. The most notable thing is the saber in its sheath, strapped to his waist and resting on one hip.]
Er...n-no thank you. [He shakes his head. Look, bro, he's just here to investigate, k.]
YWYW
C-Chief Prosecutor? [Whoops, this is embarrassing. How did he fail to recognise his own boss? Granted, he's dressed a little differently, has a sword, and he looks much younger than Blackquill recalls, but...] Forgive me, I didn't realise it was you.
[Whether Edgeworth recognises his colleague, on the other hand, is another matter. The past seven years haven't exactly aged Blackquill well.]
no subject
His arms are limp at his sides as he gapes at the other man and parrots what he just heard in a small, astounded voice.]
...C-Chief Prosecutor?! [Edgeworth shakes his head. But as he recovers from the shock, he puts two pieces together. One, this person was from the future and knew him. Two, he knew Edgeworth as Chief Prosecutor. He actually becomes Chief Prosecutor in the future?
He clears his throat as he lands back to earth.] I'm sorry, you must be mistaken. I am High Prosecutor. [Or at least, he still is.]
no subject
... My mistake. It was a slip of the tongue. [Which isn't exactly a lie, given this younger Edgeworth isn't Chief Prosecutor. He'd only confuse the poor fellow by insisting on it.] I am Prosecutor Simon Blackquill, one of your colleagues.
no subject
Yes, of course. [Blackquill's name had escaped him; the guy was kind enough to provide it.] We're acquainted, but we haven't had the opportunity to work closely with each other often.
no subject
For how long have you been resident here?
no subject
About three months. [Of course, not counting the 1+ year he spent in yet another world.]
no subject
[He's more than a little disgruntled about being relegated to police grunt work, but what can they do about it...?]
