![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |

[Comfort of the year, Peko Pekoyama. She's too used to CERES screwing them over in some way, intentional or no, that she isn't holdign out much hope. She flinches at the unexpected touch as the last of the light disappears, her arm tugging slightly before she's able to resolve from the proximity of his voice that it is indeed Hanamura.
But then... someone's breathing on the back of her neck? Hanamura's definitely not tall enough for that, unless he's standing on one of the seats.]
Stop that!
[And she lets go of the support strut in an effort to elbow him (it has to be him, right?) away from her neck with audible disgust -- but her elbow hits nothing but empty air.]
no subject
[Yep, he's still down here, Peko. He's a little too scared to focus on what his lower half might be wanting, y'know - after all, there's that hissing going on and...
Something breathing on him??
Well, that means he's letting out a pretty shrill yelp in surprise. Whoops.]
What's going on in here? T-there wouldn't be... a pipe leak or something, would there?
Ferris wheels don't run on steam or something...!
no subject
Something is moving.
[If she's scared, it isn't obvious from her voice. Her sword is much too long to use in a confined space like this, so instead she's reaching behind her, slowly, as if something might bite her fingers, until her hand closes around the hilt of a sheathed knife hidden within her shinai bag.]
Remain exactly where you are, and I will not have to cut you.
[And then she's turning quickly to stab the blade into the seat behind her, toward the sound with a sudden sharp exhale! Did she get it?!]
no subject
... Did... did you get it? W-whatever it is?
[... He totally doesn't sound a little choked up out of fear, totally not.
She's imagining things. Yeah.]
no subject
Don't move! [she repeats, more loudly. She definitely doesn't sound afraid. The fact that she's a little louder means nothing, since her voice isn't wavering. Clearly the increase in volume is just to get her point across.
It's going to be a long five minutes, the knife alternating between slices to the seat and the harsh squealing scrape of metal-on-metal when the breathing seems too close to some of the walls.]
no subject
Man, it's hard being both completely attracted and terrified of someone -]
I-is it a snake? Can snakes even get this big!?
A-ah, if you can - try to get its neck, that's the fastest way to kill a snake! Um, not that I've had to, of course!
[HE'S AN ATTRACTIVE CITY DWELLER AFTER ALL a-aha]
no subject
But going for the neck... it seems like a good idea, but--]
I am not certain if it is a snake. I have certainly struck it several times, but have not yet been bitten. [And it doesn't sound like Hanamura has, either.]
Whatever it is, my blade may not be able to cut it.
[Okay now she sounds a little disquieted, but she's still going to keep hacking away with that knife. Maybe that's what's keeping it from touching her?? The mysteries keep on happening.]
no subject
Er, I mean, I've always seen others using rakes, so I'm not sure it's cutting that works...!
[Go with something a little more brutal, obviously!!
... Nevertheless, though, he's not gonna get in her way. Just gonna stand by and hope upon hope that she'll kill it, or the lights will come back.
Or both.]
no subject
It's almost sudden when the ride starts moving again, the sudden shift of the car itself taking Peko's balance and forcing her to catch herself on the chair itself -- a chair which, now that the lights are on, is decidedly shredded with many, many slices, but is otherwise normal.
Peko's breathing a little hard from the exertion, but there's nothing else to be seen...]
no subject
... Well, now that the lights are on, he may or may not be wiping his eyes a little.
It was really scary, okay, he's a weenie.]
Is... Is there really nothing in here...?
[Looking around and... yeah. It's just them and the chairs.
The destroyed chairs, but... chairs.
For a second, though, he looks like he remembered something important - and he's gonna take a step or two towards her.]
Are you okay, though? You... were working rather hard to fight whatever that was, you know...
[Legitimate concern from the guy who wants to get into her skirt?? Yep.]
no subject
Not anymore.
[If there had been in the first place. A glance at Hanamura is enough to know that she wasn't imagining it, at least.]
I am fine.
[She's getting her breathing back under control fairly quickly now that she's not actively warring against an unknown source, though she still looks vaguely discomforted -- and a little surprised that Hanamura is showing her concern.]
Whatever it was, it was alarming, but did not seem to inflict harm.
no subject
He's definitely going to sit down on the floor of the car, though. That was too scary, too exhausting.]
... I'd much, much rather be on the ground right now.
I'm not entirely sure what I was thinking, boarding this... this death trap.
no subject
She exhales and gives Hanamura another long stare, then just nods.]
It is good to learn as much information as possible, around here. Now that we are aware, it will be easier to predict in the future.
