 It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

xx ] Do you like ferris wheels? This is an enchanting one where you get to ride around in a giant snowflake at a very limited speed. The wheel will turn excruciatingly slow before stopping abruptly, leaving you trapped at the very top. We hope you're not afraid of heights because you're going to be in there for a while! The windows on the snowflake will rapidly darken leaving you and your fellow riders trapped in the darkness. At that moment, you will feel something warm breathing down your neck and along the back of your ear. As you reach over, you'll feel like the chair underneath you is made of snakeskin, and a hissing sound will intensify as the "chair" squirms and as the breathing gets louder and hotter. Scrabble at the doors, fight your way out! Will you escape or not? Probably not, but the experience will last only a good five minutes before the lights come back on and before the ferris wheel starts moving again. The chair will appear as normal, and there will be no one else inside except any fellow riders who came with you.

Alright. I guess there isn't much else to do than get out of here- before those creepy things come back and try to kill us or something. [He's thought about dismissing Susano-o, but really that isn't a good idea.]

Okay. When the lights went out, we heard all that glass shatter and it attacked- but when they turned back on, the glass was fine. You think there's some hidden mirrors somewhere that it coulda jumped out of?
[And even now, he's looking up at the ceiling. Totally missing the ones that are in the mirrors on the floor and walls right now, looking at them.]

Another four for trying to be smart about all this instead of rushing right into things. While Yosuke carefully inspects the ceiling, Shinjiro steps forward to prod at the mirrors, looking for any sort of latch or hidden seam.]
Maybe. It'd have to be really coordinated though, to get this stuff outta the way before it jumps through at us.
[Not to mention that they'd both been grabbed and flung to the ground, meaning the things either got a bunch of arms or there's more than one.]

This doesn't make any sense- [He whines, a little frustrated with how this funhouse is seeming to work-] there's gotta be a way that let those creepy things out here like that. Especially since we heard the glass break.
[And he's calm until he actually sees another one of those spectres staring at him from a distant mirror.] W-Woah! Did you see that???

[They better come up with a plan quick though - the light flickers off for a split-second before coming back on, almost in a warning.]

They're inside. If we break them, they'll come out- that's how they got out before. It would explain why we heard mirrors breaking the first time. [Trying not to panic, trying not to panic...]

[Which he doesn't get to say as the lights shut off completely and the glass shatters. Howls raise from all around them, which doesn't look good....]

Fists are all well and good but he can hardly use them if he can't see who he's fighting, and blind swinging right now has as much of a chance of hitting the unseen enemy as it does the ally right next to him, a risk he isn't willing to take right now.
Damn it.
Out comes his evoker and there's a second round of shattering glass, lighter and less menacing, before his Persona comes racing to the surface.]

I think I can get some light in here! Susano-o! [It would take a lot of effort, but he thinks he can do it, but for how long? Taking advantage of his persona's magic, a green wind vortex forms in front of the two boys. Light being cast from the spell brightens the area around them, and they can finally see the demons attacking.]
What the hell are those things-?! [He says through the strain of effort to keep the spell continuous instead of a one-hit deal.]

[Deep debates about the biology and composition of his opposition have never been a favored go-to of his, Shinjiro preferring to just curl up his fist and smash it into the face of the nearest opponent, whether it be human or Shadow or something else entirely.
The only way he would care is if the thing's physiology made it impossible for him to land any sort of hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case now, Castor rearing up and charging full-tilt at the nearest demon.
Of course, physical attacks are only one way to go about this. He turns to Yosuke.]
What other magic does your Persona know?
[A variety would be nice, but he knows from experience most Personas only stick to one specialty.]

[He's never done this before, but he's going to try and hope it works.]
[From Susano-o's other hand, another spell is cast at the same time, seeming to hit only a few of the creatures instead of all of them. Two of them begin fighting one another instead of charging for Shinji and Yosuke. However, he slumps to the ground, and the vortex diminishes a little bit, along with the light.]

for our two gallant heroes. There's two options open in front of him that he can see:1. He puts all his energy and effort into charging at the unknown creatures, hoping that whatever he's got is enough, or
2. He can run like hell out of here and hope that the demons are too busy.
Ultimately, he mashes the two together into a weak compromise, swearing under his breath as he yells at Castor to go for it while grabbing Yosuke's arm and basically hauling him towards the exit. (Sorry, he'll try not to dislocate a shoulder.) A bit of trampling ought to keep the things busy a little longer, enough for them to bolt through the door and back to relative safety.]

And finally, with much fright, they reach the entrance, and once outside he falls to his knees. Yosuke is breathing heavily, and by now his persona has dissipated and left the fight.]
