![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |
around the carnival!
Still, after that second of hesitation passes, Kousetsu will find himself with one carnival-goer trailing after him.]
Ah— excuse me, sir!
[Both hands are cupped together as Kaoru approaches, but one is carefully lifted once close enough. Sitting on the opposite palm is what seems to be a hair clip of some sort, with large and ornate beading that sparkles where it catches the light.]
Do you recognize this? I'm trying to find its owner... I found it over by the food stalls.
[He's got enough Rapunzel hair that it seems possible, okay.]
no subject
Hm. Well he was a 'sir' but he's never been called out to before so politely, so of course he must respond. However her question is...strange even if he's used to seeing Jiroutachi wearing such manner of ornamentation. He, himself, wasn't as flashy or nearly as dressed up as the oodachi. It did look like something he would wear though. He'll look down with a tilt of his head, curious and otherwise contemplative. ]
No. I'm sorry. I...do not recognize it. [ He's soft spoken at least and otherwise polite. ] Do you...want some assistance in finding its owner?
no subject
Ah, there's no need for an apology.
[But it's met with a nod, and Kaoru closes both hands over the decoration again. Presumably to keep it safe. At the suggestion, Kousetsu is offered a friendly smile.]
I appreciate the offer, but I wouldn't wish to trouble you with something like that... You're a newer arrival, correct?
no subject
...I am looking for someone. My brother, Souza.
no subject
[Pretty much instant recognition of the name, at least! It helps that Kousetsu is So Blue and Souza is So Pink that Kaoru immediately makes a bizarre "bright colors" tie-in between the two of them. Hm - who knew swords could have brothers? A pair, maybe? It's strange to think of.]
I haven't seen him here yet, but I met him earlier at the theater. Perhaps we could look together, in that case?
no subject
...if you do not mind. The...theater. Where is that? [ He remembers that place specifically because of that one violent movie that he kinda despised. But he won't get into that right now. ]
no subject
Hm? The theater is in the entertainment district, a little past the gaming center where the ViViD booths are. It's one of the largest buildings in the area so it isn't easy to miss. [A beat, and then:] Do you wish to go back?
[Maybe he just really liked the movie he saw......]
no subject
[ Though those strange beings, robots he assumed they were called, had forced them all on to those weird moving horseless carriages so. Perhaps he was actually here. ] ...I am uncertain as to where to start looking for him.
[ Everything is confusing and bright and loud. He doesn't know where to even start. So he will look down at Karou with a 'please direct him' sort of look. ]
no subject
But luckily for him, Kaoru is pretty accustomed to how things work in Cerealia by now, and definitely understands the request for direction in his look. With a smile:]
You could certainly check there later, but I would imagine that everyone who classifies as a new arrival is in the park right now just as you are. Combing through this place would be your best bet, and waiting at the gate once we're excused if you haven't found him by then would be a good second. Ah - but I could show you the way around, if you'd like to start your search here.
no subject
...I would very much appreciate that. And perhaps we may also find the owner of said hairpin. [ Because that's how this all started, isn't it? Hm, well, he will simply follow Kaoru as he is wont to do with Souza. He is very zen in that he is comfortable with just following along and taking in the sights as they come. ]
no subject
That would work wonderfully, I'd think.
[Kaoru seems equally comfortable with playing the guide here, that said. He'll be led in silence for a while, but eventually a small gesture is made toward some of the twinkling lights of the nearest rides.]
Would you like me to explain a little about this place in the meantime? Granted, I may not be the best tour guide. These things are all a little beyond my time...
no subject
Kousetsu appreciates the silence or however silent a loud bustling carnival can be. When asked he will nod. ] ...yes. It is the same for me.
[ If his garb wasn't telling enough. ] ...I have not seen may of the things displayed here. The Sainwa taught about items in the future, but we were never shown all of them in real life.
no subject
[Said with a small smile! Kaoru adapted pretty well and was thrown in completely cold. A living sword - and a peaceful one at that - would probably excel at adaptation even more.]
But it can be a little overwhelming, can't it? Even the living arrangements... You've been told of apartments?
no subject
Yes. I've been told that Tenka-san and Sousei-san are allowing us to live with them in theirs. [ Sousei was kind enough to tell him and really where ever Souza was Kousetsu would follow. ]
I do not know how big these apartments are though... [ He hopes he doesn't take up too much space. ]
no subject
I see. They're quite the generous young men, aren't they? [THAT TENKA always adopting half of Cerealia...]
The apartments can be quite large, though. Some have up to four bedrooms, I believe... Tenka-san's is roomy, so you shouldn't be cramped even with several living there together.
