![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |

Once they're out, Kaneki turns to face her with a bit of sadness in his eyes that he's unable to hide from showing as he regards her. ]
I'm... not sure why it is that you don't remember, but... all of that happened after Banjou came to Anteiku that day. There's more to it but... I can try and explain it all when we're not in this park if you'd like.
[ Part of him half expects her to get mad at him or something, his mind piecing together from what she said into what she must remember last. Mainly that since she mentioned Banjou or didn't even remotely remember anything he said, it must have been around the time the man came to the shop looking for Rize, but before Ayato and Yamori came and everything changed for him.
He still remembers that day, too. Making quite an impression in managing to knock out Banjou with such little, unintentional effort which had really made him surprised back then. Now, the man and him had become acquaintances since then and a world of events had occurred inbetween then and now that seemed so long ago. ]

Her hands are balled into fists at her side, and it's not easy to miss the way she clenches her jaw for a moment. This is stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid and annoying as all hell. If she weren't trying so hard to keep her cool, she would have punched him in the face already. The urge is pretty strong, honestly.]
Idiot. [All but hissing that word out. He doesn't get to talk to her like that, not even if he's like this.] Once we're out of this park, you're telling me everything you know. And don't you dare leave anything out, you dumbass.

She was trying so hard, wasn't she?
A part of him wonders that if he was better at faking happy smiles and been able to act like the 'old' him when he met with her again, if she would have been less irritated and mad at him. He's ridiculously broken and distanced from everyone he knew; a bad decision on his part but at the time he really figured that was the best for everyone even if now it seemed more of a selfish decision that hurt him and the others around him in the process. ]
Understood. [ A pause lingers and there's something almost like exhaustion that shows on his face afterward. ] I know if I even remotely tried to lie or leave even the smallest thing out, you'd probably hit me.
[ A memory flashes across his mind and it brings a faint, but almost genuine smile as his expression seems to soften. This was definitely why she'd hit him that last time back home, her words back then ringing through his head firmly. Perhaps maybe... he could try and fix things, somehow. ]
...ah... perhaps I really am an idiot for thinking that way, before. It's... not just my world but... ours that this is about.

Haa... [Who even says understood these days? What is she, his drill sergeant? She keeps the commentary to herself, though, and opts to cross her arms and scoff.] Damn right I am. I'll beat the hell out of you, got it?
[She's... pretty sure he got it. But saying this sort of thing feels normal, and as someone who sorely needs normalcy right now, she takes it. Too bad "normal" for her involves insulting remarks.]
Right. So if you understand that much... stop screwing around.

Quietly Kaneki then nodded to show that he really did get it; her point had gotten across in it's own way loud and clear. She had a tendency to not muddle her intentions and this was likely a bit much to register all at once in such a short time plus his unusual appearance and words that left her confused after already going through the things in this park like before. ]
I won't be able to stop right away but... I will try not to.
[ Touka was entirely free to believe him or not, but he was being as sincere as he would ever be, a touch more life and energy in his eyes compared to what they'd been when he reunited with her initially. No, things would never be completely fixed but it didn't mean he wouldn't try to somewhat attempt to make things right again. ]
I'd... like us to have a talk over coffee sometime once we're out of here, Touka. You've probably spent some time here before me and can tell me more about it, but that's only if you're not busy.
[ Now all that remained was for him to try and get into the routine of how to do all of this without her hitting him but it wasn't just magically going to be the same so easily. Not without a lot of work. ]
