![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |

A spirit? Why do you think that?
[It's her certainty that makes him curious. And while he might be inclined to remain behind her and away from the mirror, remaining silent isn't a strong suit of his.]
You think they can hurt us even behind the glass?
[Moments after the words leave his lips the lights go out. The sounds of shattering glass echos around them. Maybe he spoke too soon.]
no subject
Because I've seen things like this before.
[Not exactly like this, but close enough. And the fact that it's in a mirror is another reason.]
And I don't know. But put your back to mine. And when I take a step stay with me. We're going to try and sneak out.
no subject
He puts his back to hers, not even bothering to question her plan. This is a little beyond his experience.]
Do you think we'll be able to find the exit in the dark?
[His voice is low, almost a whisper.]
no subject
[She starts edging back the way they'd come, moving slowly.
And that's when the howls get louder, more intense. More...primal. It's something that the Death Busters minions had used, a cry to cause distress. But she's not sixteen...she's not green anymore.]
A hunting call...don't bolt. That's what they want.
no subject
The howls send a chill down his spine but he only presses back against Rei more, feeling comforted that he's not alone.]
I can barely see anything. I'd probably end up running right into them.
[That's his way of assuring her he's not about to bolt anytime soon. Plus, he couldn't just leave her there.]
no subject
[And that's when he...actually does. Maybe he steps on a bit of broken glass that gives them away, or maybe she did. Either way there's a hard crunch under one of their feet.
And then they're both airborne. Something huge, scaly, and hungry slams into them, knocking them aside like bowling pins. Hope you wanted bruises for Christmas, kids.]
no subject
He barely makes out the shape of something large and scaly in the darkness before he hits the ground in a sickening thud and is sent rolling. Disorientation sets in even as he tries to push himself up.
The sight in one of his eyes is bleary, and it takes him a moment to realize that it's blood from a cut on his forehead, dripping down to his eye and clouding his vision.
He strains his eyes, trying to see where Rei ended up.]
Rei-chan? Are you okay?
no subject
I'm fine. You, Hide-kun?
[Her eyes continue to sweep the room, but that eerie howling is gone, vanished completely.
She's about to start towards him, getting on the move...when the lights suddenly flicker back on and they find themselves standing in a perfectly orderly hall of mirrors. The very sight elicits an angry groan.]
Dammit...again...
no subject
I'm okay. [For the most part.] I'm heading your way.
[As soon as the words are out of his mouth he's stopped in his tracks by the sudden return of the lights. He throws an arm up to shield his eyes.
Once his eyes have adjusted he's looking around, noticing the pristine state of the mirrors. If it wasn't for his aches and pains and the blood dripping down his face, he would think it had all been his imagination.]
Again? Has this happened to you before?
no subject
Yes. On the Ferris Wheel.
[With a tug, she angrily stalks towards the exit, tugging him whether he likes it or not. It's not safe to stay here, anymore, and she doesn't want to risk another attack.]
It's time to go. No more rides.
no subject
Not that he would. He's bleeding all over his only shirt and he's pretty sure his ribs are bruised. No more rides is sounding like pretty good advice to him.]
There are monsters on the Ferris Wheel too? [The fun house had been his first stop, but he had meant to backtrack to the Ferris Wheel later on. That's not sounding like such a good idea now.]
How about some ice cream instead? I think we deserve it. I'll pay.
