Who: ALL THE SINGLE LADIES + any crashers! Anyone is welcome if they hear the noise or just want to join in! (Feel free to assume that someone invited them!)

Where: Athena and Ryuko's apartment.
What: Ryuko wanted to do more girly things, so Athena decides to invite every girl she knows to their place for sleepover.

[ SLEEPOVER!!!!!!!!!

Athena has been excited for this for a few days now, and has been trying to get Ryuko to be as psyched as she is, but that sure didn't work.

Either way, a sleepover is happening at their place! There's five mattresses laid out on the living room floor (She's not sure how many are coming but she borrowed five from the gym, anyway), already set up with their own sheets. The pillows are stacked by the wall—there's really a lot of them—and some blankets by a small coffee table. The mattresses are pretty big that it could fit 3-4 people to sleep on them.

There's a projector sitting on the living room too, just in case people brought movies with them, conveniently facing the wall. (Probably just link the CereVice to it and it'll show whatever's playing on the CereVice, too.) OR IF YOU HAVE A KARAOKE APP...

Athena brought in some desserts from the cosplay cafe, so there's a lot of pastries. From three different kinds of cake (chocolate, strawberries and creme, and blueberry cheesecake); to red velvet cupcakes; to a buttload of macarons of all sorts of flavours; there really are a lot of sweets. if you arrive early, you might realise that it's just sweets, a bunch of chips, and soda bottles set on the table.

Where's the real food? Archer said he'll have Saber bring it with her, so that's a thing! And Athena thought they could order some delivery, too. Just so everyone gets to eat something they want. Oddly enough, there's also a plate of salt and lime on the table. Hmm, what for?

Well, no one has to look that hard enough for the reason. There's a couple of bottles of tequila and some shot glasses badly hidden in one of the cupboards, so pretty much everybody can see those. If anyone wants to start body shots drinking with people, then Athena won't stop them. It's a party! And law school gets just as crazy sometimes. Lord knows how much Athena wanted to try and socialise with her fellow budding lawyers, but was just awkward to do so. Thankfully, she's much better at breaking out of her shell now, otherwise, this party wouldn't even be happening. If there's anyone who tries drinking and they look like they shouldn't be (LOOKING AT YOU, MABEL), then Athena will come over and scold them like a mom.

So what else are you waiting for? Come in and take off your shoes, and make yourself comfortable! The bathroom is just down the hall, if you want to change into your jammies.

IF THERE'S A WILL THERE'S A WAY!!! All the ladies and Zura get in! ]

[She grins, seeming excited that he understands! Most people hear "political" and probably turn away.]

It's another way I can help people, I guess. Before I started at the Daily Trigleph, I was just a nurse.

[He might be able to understand-- because he's from a situation in which he's in a group that others might not want to understand. Even if he'd want to be able to make peace with them, want to help them one day.

Understanding another person's perspective is... so important. Even just with friends.]

Did you not like being a nurse?

Oh, no! I loved it.

[Being a nurse, helping out at the Mathis Clinic was her entire childhood--even when she was sickly. She would always cheer everyone up!

Or... try.]

The looks on the kids' faces when I'd make them better, the way they just lit up... there was nothing like it.

[She still heals.]

It's just that my priorities changed, after I started traveling. I... didn't want to be stuck anymore. I knew I could help more than just the people in my home town!

So I started looking for something else.

[Hinata watches her thoughtfully, nodding. He remembers talking to Tsumiki about her being a nurse-- and while she... definitely described it in a way all her own, he still thinks of how her voice sounded when she spoke of it.]

And so that's why you went with writing?

[Hm.] You can reach a lot of people with words, can't you?

Mmhmm. That's the idea.

[Leia nods, too, noticing the way he looks at her like he's heard this sort of thing before. He looks interested, though, and that means a lot to her.]

I even keep a journal for writing practice--plus it helps keeps my thoughts organized and all.

There's just as much to write about here than there was at home! Maybe even more. [So many worlds... cultures. Weird shit.]

[So much weird shit... one could never keep track of it all.

Hinata keeps notebooks as well, keeps track of each and every thing that happens here as much as he can, though it's probably much different from her writing. Not as organised, likely, 'cause they're likely full of jot notes and such.]

Do you have a job in writing here?

[journaler]

[She has plenty of jotted notes, too. Hastily written things, some things she probably can't even read, or don't make sense anymore... she wants to eliminate all that, and she's getting better.

Still, she has to shake her head.]

Not yet, but ultimately, I think that's what I'd like.

I could make a difference here.

[Hinata's wearing a thoughtful look.]

A lot of people who come here, newcomers especially, could benefit from information... and some of the experiences those of us here could share. But it's not always easy to share everything with everyone.

Mm. It might be fun to let people submit things anonymously. That way their voice can still be heard, even if they're shy.

[People like Elize... though she's not as much of a shy little girl anymore.]

That could be part of it anyway. I don't know...

I wonder if a newspaper would be a little too outdated for a place like this.

[Hinata hums thoughtfully.]

I dunno. There're quite a few of us who're probably more familiar with newspapers than they would the other tech here, right?

Yeah, that's true, too.

[She chuckles a bit, thinking of Gaius. If only he were here to hear that one.]

Still, the network is such a great way to reach out to people. It'd be a shame not to use it, right?

Yeah.

I only use it now and then myself... but it's the easiest way to get in contact with a lot of people at once.

[He just keeps any sensitive information off of it... if he can help it.]

[She gives a nod. GHSes were pretty advanced, but even they weren't quite so advanced. Sure, you could do conference calls, mass texts, but...]

Exactly.

I... haven't really used it much either, but I think it'll be a valuable tool. I can keep pulse on the community and what people are talking about.

[His own investigatey things aside:] It'd be good to know if you went ahead with trying a paper or something here, right?

The topics that people're talking about, that is.

Yeah. And hopefully my writing will give them something to talk about, too, eventually.

[So it'll go both ways. That'd be ideal, she thinks... but she feels like she's rambled.]

Hey, but what about your hobbies, Hinata? What do you like to do?

Me?

[Hinata recognises that being at a loss over that kind of question is still a silly thing, but... he frowns as he thinks about it. Hobbies, hobbies...]

"Investigating"...isn't really a hobby, is it? [He's not sure if he can even say that he likes it, but it keeps him busy and feeling like he's doing something.] Honestly, if anything, the thing I like to do most is stuff like this.

N-- not coming to girl's sleepovers, but just talking to other people and hearing about them.

[Considering they just established that Leia is a journalist, she can safely say investigating is her hobby, too. So she just looks amused...

It strikes her as a very Hinata-like answer.]

I think it counts.

[Most people wouldn't answer with something like that, when asked about hobbies, but they evidently aren't like most people.]

But what about sports, or video games? What makes you really happy?

[Again, a small pause from Hinata. What makes him really happy?

...Sonia's firm trust, Komaeda laughing like he's really happy, Souda divulging his troubles, Gundam 'sharing his power' with him, exchanging cups with Kuzuryuu, a look at Pekoyama's honest smile, even Teruteru dragging him about trying all manner of food...]

This is... probably going to be a weird answer, but... my friends. [A beat:] The thing is, I never had a lot of hobbies as a kid. I spent a lot of my time studying, all the way up until high school.

It was only after I met my friends that I really got to experience a bunch of things I had fun doing.

[journaler]

[The way his eyes light up thinking about his friends warms her heart. It's a good answer, hardly weird at all... and if it is, she doesn't want to be normal.]

Sometimes it takes a while to find yourself. There isn't anything wrong with that.

[As they just established, she speaks from personal experience. She smiles encouragingly.]

It's never too late to try different things either, and now you guys can do it together!

[Just don't tell them about any of this, okay, he can't have them thinking he's all deredere for them all!]

Even if... well, if it's them, they sometimes want to do all kinds of ridiculous things.

But I definitely don't mind giving anything a try. At least once.

[Oh, Hinata...

The word "ridiculous" raises all kinds of questions, but she just laughs.]

Like crashing a girls' slumber party? [Teasingly she adds, before he can protest:] I'll hold you to that.

["Anything"...]

This'll definitely be a one-time-only thing...!

[Of course he had to say something right there. Gotta keep up the straight man act. He's grumbling lightly, but it's clear that he's just rolling...

"Anything" only with a limit, though, okay!! He probably wouldn't do anything sketchy. No matter how much he likes his friends.]

It's okay. [A light, encouraging nudge with her arm when she hears that grumble.] I mean, you were sort of invited, so it's really no big deal. Besides, there are adults here, so I don't think there's anything to worry about.

[She's so optimistic about this. She really doesn't want him to feel like he has to leave...]

[It's okay, he knows he's going to leave eventually!! Once Pekoyama is relaxed and sufficiently distracted and once he's... sure... that Teruteru's gone home as well.]

So, what kind of things does a guy do at a girl's sleepover? [He's quirking his eyebrow with a wry expression, but he's joking a little too.]

[It's actually cute that he sounds so puzzled about this, though yeah, she can sense that he's joking... maybe.]

Well, what kinds of things does a girl do?

You can talk and gossip and play games just like the rest of us. Plus there's good food, and drinks...

[She starts to look around. There really is a lot going on!]
