Who: ALL THE SINGLE LADIES + any crashers! Anyone is welcome if they hear the noise or just want to join in! (Feel free to assume that someone invited them!)

Where: Athena and Ryuko's apartment.
What: Ryuko wanted to do more girly things, so Athena decides to invite every girl she knows to their place for sleepover.

[ SLEEPOVER!!!!!!!!!

Athena has been excited for this for a few days now, and has been trying to get Ryuko to be as psyched as she is, but that sure didn't work.

Either way, a sleepover is happening at their place! There's five mattresses laid out on the living room floor (She's not sure how many are coming but she borrowed five from the gym, anyway), already set up with their own sheets. The pillows are stacked by the wall—there's really a lot of them—and some blankets by a small coffee table. The mattresses are pretty big that it could fit 3-4 people to sleep on them.

There's a projector sitting on the living room too, just in case people brought movies with them, conveniently facing the wall. (Probably just link the CereVice to it and it'll show whatever's playing on the CereVice, too.) OR IF YOU HAVE A KARAOKE APP...

Athena brought in some desserts from the cosplay cafe, so there's a lot of pastries. From three different kinds of cake (chocolate, strawberries and creme, and blueberry cheesecake); to red velvet cupcakes; to a buttload of macarons of all sorts of flavours; there really are a lot of sweets. if you arrive early, you might realise that it's just sweets, a bunch of chips, and soda bottles set on the table.

Where's the real food? Archer said he'll have Saber bring it with her, so that's a thing! And Athena thought they could order some delivery, too. Just so everyone gets to eat something they want. Oddly enough, there's also a plate of salt and lime on the table. Hmm, what for?

Well, no one has to look that hard enough for the reason. There's a couple of bottles of tequila and some shot glasses badly hidden in one of the cupboards, so pretty much everybody can see those. If anyone wants to start body shots drinking with people, then Athena won't stop them. It's a party! And law school gets just as crazy sometimes. Lord knows how much Athena wanted to try and socialise with her fellow budding lawyers, but was just awkward to do so. Thankfully, she's much better at breaking out of her shell now, otherwise, this party wouldn't even be happening. If there's anyone who tries drinking and they look like they shouldn't be (LOOKING AT YOU, MABEL), then Athena will come over and scold them like a mom.

So what else are you waiting for? Come in and take off your shoes, and make yourself comfortable! The bathroom is just down the hall, if you want to change into your jammies.

1864... [She echoes Kaoru in awe, trying to remember her history lessons.] That was the Tokugawa era, right? Emperor Komei was on the throne. [She looks a little pleased with herself. Who knew school would finally be useful?]

It was 1988 for me. Are there really people here from 2000 or later? I can't even imagine. I keep thinking of jetpacks and living in space or something.

[souredsweet]

[There's a little hum of acknowledgment at that.]

That's correct. It's a little strange to consider it as history for some... [But Kaoru doesn't seem to ruffled over it, really.]

Ah, but I believe you're the first person I've met from a year just a little before 2000. It almost seems like everyone is either very far into the future or from about the same time period as myself. [A beat, and then:] Living in space does seem to be accurate, at least.

Oh, sorry! I didn't even think... [In retrospect, it was probably a little rude to be talking about something that's 'ancient history' when the person she's talking to is, you know, living it.]

I wonder if we're going to forget everything when we go back home? Otherwise someone could probably get a good idea of what's in the future and try to change it... Even if we're from all different-- worlds and all, some things might still be similar enough, you know? [She trails off, purses her lips, and adds:] If we go back home.

Though her statement is exactly what Kaoru is hoping for, honestly. Being the furthest behind in terms of timelines out of everyone from his world has left a sense of needing to catch up. The best way to do that would be to return with a solid knowledge of what to anticipate, what actions to take, what to avoid.]

It would be a shame to simply forget all of the experiences that we have here, at the same time. All of the people that I've met have been so wonderful... I would hate to forget them. But you do have a point, even so. [And as far as that dour comment goes:]

I don't think that our chances of returning are as slim as they may seem.

It's been... interesting so far, I guess... [She's met a few interesting people too that seem nice enough, but she wouldn't bat an eye to toss them away to go home right now.

Kaoru's statement about their chances definitely catches her attention though, and she eyes the other carefully.] Yeah? What makes you say that?

Interesting is certainly one way to put it. [AMUSEMENT... Vague amusement, anyway. Kaoru is still a little (read: a lot) assblasted about Chizuru's absence, but it's not like Cerealia has been boring in the meantime.

As for that, the answer that Kaoru gives isn't entirely truthful; it's a relatively benign version of the truth, mostly.]

If you listen to enough people, it sounds like this sort of situation isn't entirely uncommon. However, others have been able to find ways out of theirs. It makes this situation seem less impenetrable, I believe.

[Mio nods slowly, frowning as she thinks it over. She'd been trapped in a rather terrifying place before this too, after all, but the requirements for leaving had been... Well.

Hopefully leaving here required no sacrifices.] I guess it's always good to have hope, at least. I just hope everything they told us about our homes isn't true. I'd like to see my mom and uncle again...

[She trails off and shrugs.] There's no use complaining now though. We're stuck here for now, after all. [Changing gears slightly:] Have you ever seen anyone in charge here? I mean, of the city, not the party.

[souredsweet]

[There's another noise of agreement, but Kaoru lets the topic drop there. No use in going into detail about the supposed state of their homes...]

Oh - I have, yes. [A small nod!] When my own group arrived, the CEO held a barbecue as a celebration. He was there himself, cooking burgers for us. [It was a surreal experience, looking back on it... Kaoru's head shakes once.]

But I haven't seen him again since that day, and I've never seen any of the other employees.

The "what the fuck" expression on Mio's face does little to fully express the levels of bewilderment she's feeling here. She tries to focus on something else to grasp and question that isn't just "okay but why."]
