[Archer was fully cringing at the emblem Athena made and the fact that it was pasted on his apron. Well, inwardly at least. Athena got to have her way with the things went around here since she was the one who put in the money and most of the work. That meant her lame idea of what was great ended up plastering almost anything that had the surface for it.

But for a food stall, there was a serious lack of menu. Archer, though, intentionally wanted that. Restricting himself would only be admitting that he couldn't make things that people wanted outside of said menu. Obviously, there were some restrictions because supplies of some things were exceedingly rare or impossible to find. Which meant that rich people places had to be visited for that. But here were reasonable prices for fresh cooked food.]

Before you ask, there's no menu. So just tell me what you want.

[Customer service needed a little bit of work, however. And no, Saber, you weren't getting any free food.]

People generally ask for what they want. I generally find that if a cook is restricted by a menu, he doesn't do as well of a job.

[No, he doesn't. It just seemed like a good line to use.]

...I see. [ Kousetsu is very impressed, okay. Because it seems like there's a lot one could ask for. Not that he knew many foods yet, but from what he's seen it looks to be a large amount. He was only familiar with what was cooked in the Citadel and what the Saniwa had shown them. ]

You are...a very skilled cook to be able to make all types of things. [ Please don't feed his ego Kousetsu. ] Are you familiar with...onigiri?

You're not really trying to win an award in complicated ideas, are you? Onigiri is about as simple as it gets. What kind of filling do you want?

[Must be someone out of touch with society, maybe...]

Takana...pickled vegetables. [ He's not sure if the other knows what Takana is, so he goes for the general term. As for the award part. No. He's just...not really sure about any other types of food yet, gosh. ]

I have not yet been able to have many foods here yet. Although the...funnel cake I ate at the festival was quite good, as was the chocolate covered popcorn. I am curious to try more foods in the future here. [ What other tasty, greasy, foods does this place have to offer? ]

As a blade it is...all quite new to me. Our master spoke of many things, but we never had the resources readily available to make other dishes.

[That was a simple request. But he did raise an eyebrow while grabbing for the pickled veggies.]

As a blade, huh. That's an odd statement to make.

It is not strange. I am one of the Samonji blades, Kousetsu. My brother Souza is also here with me. [ He is just saying this ever so line faced and serious. He doesn't know if the other has met Souza, but they are total opposites in terms of personality. ]

No one here said it was strange.

[Jumping to conclusions. Which is enough to make him shake his head while getting out some rice. Not exactly the best customer service.]

As a master swordsmith, I've never heard of those blades.

...many have done so thus far. My apologies. [ He didn't mean to jump to conclusions, but he's now realizing that it is very strange in terms of what he is. So he can't help but say those words. ]

...I see. You craft swords in your world. [ And food apparently, how interesting. A pause as he looks Archer over, there is curiosity there he's just...no showing it at all. ]

It is...not something many people still do in modern times from what I have heard.

I'd consider them naive at best, considering their surroundings.

[Seriously. Just look around.]

And I make them here too. You'd be surprised at how many people want swords with some type of enhancement added to them.

[heiwana]

Yes. This place is...strange in that way. [ He can't say he'd be surprised to see other walking objects about. Speaking of which, apparently there were actual countries much like himself here so it's not too far a stretch to see. ]

...what purpose would people have for swords here. There is...no fighting. [ Yet. But he doesn't really want to get into that. ] Swords are best left unused...to draw them would only bring about more sorrow and unneeded violence.

I'm sorry to destroy your bubble of peace but there's plenty of fighting here. Both inside the game world they have and right here, when they try to pull things that could end in people's death.

[He shakes his head. No, this guy is plenty new.]

That's a morality argument I've got no need for. But I'm willing to bet that plenty of people would argue that a true hearted person with a drawn blade is a savior. [AKA: Were he back to being in his young adult years, he would have argued it completely.]

[heiwana]

[ There is such a deep frown on his face right now, my god! He doesn't like the thought of people having to fight because of their supposed peaceful saviors making them do so. That was entirely not the point of this place, wasn't it? ]

...I don't understand why they would make us do such things to one another.

[ He shakes his head looking very dour and upset now. Though it just comes across as a very pronounced glower from him. ]

We are supposed to work together from what I have heard. Is there really such a need for things like that...when our worlds have been taken from us already? [ More violence is not the answer, or at least to Kousetsu. Seems like Sousei was quite right about not trusting them, this only solidified the other's words. ]

You don't need to understand as long as you recognize it happens. Besides, if you play the game, you'll earn money. I suppose that's an incentive.

But you'll have to apologize if I don't go for the whole world destruction idea. It's too fishy for me.

...I am unfamiliar with these types of games. [ They're a bit...daunting to him to be honest. ]

I would not know where to...start, to learn how to play them. [ Does he look like the gaming type though? I mean seriously... ]

I have heard Sousei-san say a similar thing. They are...not to be trusted. To lie about such things...is there not already enough sorrow in people's lives? [ To only add more to it so flippantly like that. He can't say he approves one bit. ]

Can you fight?

[Jumping to the real problems here. He honestly didn't care about other people or how they felt. That was the problem with being jaded with heroism. Everything associated with it brought problems.]

...that's. I do not...like to fight.

[ His expression turns into something with deep consternation and so much frowning. He can, being a sword and all. He was actually fairly strong too despite his blatant hatred of fighting in general. But he rather not do it if he didn't need to. ]

You might want to invest in a friend that can, then.
